If round 11 of the ORFFL saw the competition narrow, is it only logical to assume that round 12 will see the ORFFL spread its disco-wings and fly away from each other? Maybe. Very possibly maybe. With 6 teams equal on 8 wins, the probability is that it wont stay that way by Sunday.
Head over the break and we give you the ORFFL LD on all this 8 point hoopla.

TARWIN LOWER PIGS (12th, 1210) vs TORRUMBARRY THUNDA (8th, 1222)
A real mid-table clash first up with only an average of 12 points separating the Stormboys from the Pigs. Yet for the second consecutive week Tarwin Lower talisman Scott Pendlebury misses with a broken leg (they say its just a flesh wound), which will certainly make victory tougher against an outfit that seems rejuvenated from the midseason break. Will Goodes fire against Lions at the SCG? Wheres Mitch Wallis? Just some of the questions going into this one.

POOWONG POTOROOS (6th, 1229) vs COULTA COULDABEENS (7th, 1232)
JDog, coach of Poowong, needs to reassert his strength, after suffering a loss last week that moved the Potoroos from 2nd to 6th. For Bearfly, coach of the opposing Coulta, his team has the chance to take his team to 8 wins and into the top echelon of the ORFFL. And yet both of these teams in this middle stage of the season are suffering injuries to best 15 players. Poowong with Thompson and Murphy missing in DEF, Coulta with Zaha and Schulz missing up FWD - and Burgoyne in DEF. Gary to surely tonup though.

BONNIE DOON BANDITS (14th, 1156) vs SARAH ISLAND SAVAGES (1st, 1369)
Fresh from knocking off 2nd nay 6th, the Bandits of Bonnie Doon take on the reigning monarch, Sarah Island. In the words of Omar Little, "You come at the king, you best not miss". The Bandits lose impressive new recruit Golby to injury, but gain back veteran Gilbee, who was once impressive. The travelling Savages lose Goddard to the "sin bin" for cracking some guy, and face the intredasting selection dilemma of whether Lachie and Kepler can function in the same team, or any team environment really. Decisions...

MERTON MEERKATS (3rd, 1254) vs MALLACOOTA MAGICIANS (5th, 1234)
8 point game. I said it. Merton who let to 3rd place last weekend versus a 5th place Mallacoota who look a different side with McEvoy back in the ruck. Merton coach SCSS flagged sending fullback Darren Glass to the FWD line, and with Martin unable to line-up for the Kats, you may even see ruckman Derrickx make his debut there too. With this being perhaps so, the Magicians have a real opportunity to move back into the Top4 before forgotten man Fyfe returns. But as always with Merton, the game will be decided in a 2 hour window, this week involving Melbourne. Could get ugly. Shane Tuck ugly.

WARBURTON WANDERERS (4th, 1245) vs GLENROWAN GUNSLINGERS (13th, 1155)
A tale of two teams last week; the best of times for Glenrowan knocking off Sarah island, the worst for Warbuton losing a close one - and the opportunity of top spot. This weekend brings fresh angst for the Wanderers with Scully set to miss, adding to a list that includes Hartlett and Murphy (Boak returns this week). The Gunslingers meanwhile, have little of those concerns. Rioli toning up would be a nice surprise though.

PURNULULU BUNGLE RANGERS (16th, 1170) vs POPANYINNING PYRITE (11th, 1210)
Im sorry this is one of those games I fail to be excited by, a lower mid-table contest between the 16th placed PBR and the 11th placed Pyrite. Popanyinning, if you dont know, have the best midfield in the ORFFL, averaging 456 points and scoring a bat shit crazy 559 points last week. Sadly the rest of their team isnt in great shape; Blake missing with an ankle and Clarke missing his haircut appointment. The Rangers declined to comment for this piece.

QUEENSTOWN QUOLLS (9th, 1155) vs MOUNT BUGGERY DISAPPOINTMENTS (10th, 1225)
An 8 point game. I said it twice. Whoever wins this will hold the much coveted position of 9th at rounds end (or 8th if theyre lucky, or 10th if theyre unlucky). Mount Buggery welcome back Conca and the irrepressible Sam Butler to a beleaguered DEF, while Queenstown find Davey put his hand up for selection, all they have to do is reach out and grab it. I wouldnt, but then I dont draft Essendon players.

MILIKAPATI SNAKES (2nd, 1274) vs JIMCUMBILLY JACKRABBITS (15th, 1198)
Newly minted silver medalist Milikapati take on Jimcumbilly this round; the Snakes doing victory cartwheels, the Jackrabbits crying in the toilets. Jimcumbilly find Ellard inexplicably unavailable, which means Beamer Moloney gets a chance to play with his old mate Brock. Milikapatis only drama at the selection table is which unearthed talent they wish to give a run this week. I wouldnt know, but if I was going to have a stab in the dark Id say Sam Day. And hell probably kick 8.

WOY WOY WIZARDS (17th, 1196) vs HUMPTY DOO HAMMERHEADS (18th, 1127)
Another 8 point game(ish). The loser of this match will be last. No bout a doubt it. I think its fair to say that neither of these teams will play finals this year, so this season becomes a battle for Pride and Picks. Is it better to lose and get Jaeger? Or win and get Lachie? Is pride still a factor when you only won 2 games out of 11?
