Sarah Isla<strong style='font-size: 14px;]nd Savages 1417[/b]<strong style='font-size: 14px;]d[/b]<strong style='font-size: 14px;]efeated Poowong Potoroos 1118[/b]
As predicted by Jason the Potoroos have hit the wall and suffered their 3rd loss in 4 games. No Ablett for the rest of the season and no forward line aside from Darling and the Tomahawk. Expect management to be active in the off season again looking for decent forwards. Should still make the finals but without the spiritual leader it is difficult to see them being competitive against the top teams. A trip to Coulta awaits which could be a challenge.
For the Savages, business as usual, consolidating top spot and locking in a top 2 spot. The main question is does Hornsy still exist, or has he disappeared into the Matrix? A trip to Milikapati next on the agenda.

<strong style='font-size: 14px;]Woy Woy 1277 defeated Coulta Couldabeens 1072[/b]
Solid win to the Wizards but they still sit a game outside the 8. Ranked 5th on total points scored, if they can sneak in they might be able to do some damage late in the season. ‘Bad Boy' Toby Greene could be a key for the rest of the season as he endeavors to prove the naysayers wrong.
Disappointing weekend for Coulta. Priddis and Enright led the way but the rest were disappointing. The question has to be asked. No Port, No Coulta? This week they welcome the Potoroos and will be hoping for an improved performance.

Mt Buggery Disappointments 1301 defeated Milikapati Snakes 1240
An entertaining matchup saw the ‘pointments record a 61 point victory over the Snakes despite regular whipping boys Watts 33 and Cloke 31 doing their best to drag their team down. Goldy smashed out a 166 and together with Ward, Sidebum and Wines did enough to offset the general spudiness from the aforementioned whipping boys.
Solid but unspectacular probably best describes the performance from the Snakes. Deledio top scored with 112 with most of the rest around the 70-80 mark - ie solid but unspectacular.
A trip to Merton should hold no fears for the Mountain Boys who have now pretty much locked in a Top 2 spot with a 2 game buffer to the Magicians in 3rd. The Snakes host Sarah Island and if some of the boys put their hand up or even pull their fingers out and go the extra yard they might just pull off an upset victory. Now sitting 10th and 2 games out of the 8 this is do or die.

Tarwin Lower Pigs 990 defeated Jimcumbilly Jackrabbits 977
Fair to say this low scoring match was decided in the ruck with HMac 144 too strong for Sinclair 26. Some really low scores on both sides though. For the TLP Aaron Hall 8 and Horlin Smith 32 were more than matched by the ‘rabbits Paparone 14, Terlich 18 and J Merrett 19. Patton's late withdrawal also meant the Pigs ran out with only 14.
The loss means the ‘rabbits are 2 games out with a must win game against Woy Woy coming up. Two in a row for the TLP sees them move up to 14th and a trip to Purnululu over the split round.

Bonnie Doon 808 defeated Merton Meerkats 0
Walkover to the Bandits. Fair to say they stole this one after being smashed at selection and having doughnuts everywhere. The ruck dream team of Cox/Grundy is not looking as rigid as it once was.
The Bandits face a tough matchup against the Wanderers while Merton host the Disappointments.

Mallacoota Magicians 1345 defeated Purnululu Bungle Rangers 1219
Big Boy is back and ‘kash is happy, well he should be anyway. Sitting comfortably in 3rd and with some solid scores over the last few weeks, the Magicians are setting themselves nicely for a tilt at the finals. Still room for improvement with Harbrow 55 and Duncan 53 disappointing. A trip to Glenrowan awaits.
The PBR are in the group sitting 2 games out of the 8 however would fancy their chances this week against the TLP. A strong midfield performance lead by Selwood 144 will need more support from the likes of Walker 59, Lynch 62 and Kennedy 19 if they are to have any realistic chance going anywhere this season.

Queenstown Quolls 1396 defeated Warburton Wanderers 1204
The Quolls bandwagon is quickly gathering pace. Maybe all that Best Buys research is bearing fruit for BB as the Quolls make a charge towards the ORFFL finals. Now sitting comfortably in 4th they were too strong for the Wanderers this week. Robbie Warnock in the ruck probably the weakest link at this point. Just a quick dash across Bass Strait this weekend to take on the Seagulls in what may be a danger game after the ‘gulls fired up this week.
A disappointing result for the Wanderers, however it's hardly surprising that the boys didn't lift with EddieV off sailing in the South Pacific. Will he be back in time to rectify the ship or will the damage already be done? Hosting Bonnie Boon this week who might struggle to put a team on the park, should get them back in the winner's circle.

Popanyining Pyrite 1089 lost to Glenrowan Gunslingers 1272
The Gunslingers hang on to 8th place with a solid win over the Pyrite. Armitage 144 and Dalhaus 141 set up the win with solid support from D Beams 109 and JOM 105 whilst Bartel had an unusually quiet day with only a 57. Huge clash coming up against the Magicians with the chasing pack waiting for any slip up.
For the Pyrite a disappointing season continues, a likely early pick something to look forward to. Lobbe and Tomlinson both performing well (that's an in joke by the way), together with some promising youngsters. Would still be looking to claim some scalps starting with the Hammerheads this week.

Smiths Beach Seagulls 1346 defeated Humpty Doo Hammerheads 1219
A big upset here with SBS recording a comfortable 127 point win over the Hammerheads. With a forward line of Franklin 104, NRoo 90, Danger 159 and Parker 123, SBS have the potential to go large if they can fill in some gaps on the other lines. Stanton and Heppell certainly need some quality assistance in the midfield. However they did enough this week though and gave hope to some of the chasing pack who are hoping to pinch a finals spot. Big challenge against the Quolls this week.
For the Hammerheads Jackson Macrae went Boom with a 172, wheras Pretty Boy Joe went more pffft, with a 51 (another preseason though and he will be more than a pretty face). The visiting Pyrite are this weeks challenge for the Doo ‘heads.
