Ah, Round 3. In the lesser game, they say it is the most important of all rounds. What, however, does it mean in the Game of Games, the ORFFL? A lot, I feel. Put it this way, in an 18 team competition with only 8 finalists, I would not like to be sitting 0-3 after this round. By the Grace of the Gods, that won't be me, but join us over the break to see what I think of your club and it's fantasy football chance this week. NOW WITH SCORE UPDATES

TARWIN LOWER PIGS730/9 VSPURNULULU BUNGLE RANGERS 839/12

To put it simply, Kel and his Black Sabbath inspired 'War Pigs' need a victory this weekend. I think Kel's been unlucky thus far not to snatch a win, yet sadly the ORFFL pays no heed to such vagaries. It's brutal results that count. And with Embley and Smith missing this week from Tarwin Lower's engine room, it'll be left to old Dependles to shovel coal with extraordinary speed and proficiency.

The PBR on the other hand are kind of looking like a 2010-11 Melbourne. Capable of soaring highs, and Gary Bussey-esque lows. That's youth for ya! If I could offer one piece of advice: Put Harper on the field! Either that, or trade him to me midseason. Would love to have if you do not want.

WOY WOY WIZARDS730/9 VSPOOWONG POTOROOS 687/8

This week we find the match of the round again featuring the men of Poowong. Is it simply our love of the Little Bald Master that makes Potoroos matches so watchable? No, as it turns out. While we may root for David, it's Goliath that brings in the spectators, and by that I mean, Big Tommahawkins. An absolute beast of a man.

Not to be out done, the Wizard's possess a Goliath of their own, an even more beastly Aaron Sandilands, the true Goliath of the ORFFL. Big Lurch will need to do the job for the veteran Wizards, with Hodge still suffering from the 'old man' injury of a calf complaint, and Simon Black out with a severe case of arthritis in his hand, Woy Woy's premier midfield will be running at half rat power over the weekend.

    MERTON MEERKATS1002/10 VSQUEENSTOWN QUOLLS 1250

Here we find the Quolls hoping the pond over to the Merton Cricket Ground to face the Meerkats on what seems like a pretty good wicket for them. The saying 'one door opens and another one closes' seems particularly apt for Queenstown, gaining Brown Dog in one hand, yet losing RICKY P-TARD from the other (still a win in my book). The Quolls simply have to find a way to win though if they want to play finals though.

Over at Merton, as alluded to before it would appear they've tailored a fairly flat track for this match. That being said, with Glass being rested and Puop AWOL still, Billie The Kid will need to play for the Meerkats to field a full side. Actually scratch that, with Push Ups out too, they'll struggle in the FWD line too, unless of course Dusty pulls out a 150. Which seems plausible this weekend.

BONNIE DOON BANDITS326/5 VSJIMCUMBILLY JACKRABBITS 895/11

With Big Gary Turtleton's team starting to kick into serious form, I fear for what may happen to Fat Tony's crew down at Bonnie Doon. I also fear the reprisals that may be had after the match against the Jackrabbits. But what do I care really, none of them are actually my team? Do your worst guys.

For the Bandits, they eagerly welcome back Josh Drummond to a defence that has struggled to field more than two and half players in the opening rounds of the ORFFL. And Masten looks primed for a big one up against GWS.

For Jimcumbilly, they'll miss Rosa from the middle of the park, and will be hoping that MorFrees can continue on his good form of last week in a cameo performance from the centre of the ground.

WARBURTON WANDERERS 760/9 VSHUMPTY DOO HAMMERHEADS 464/6

Lucas, famed coach of Humpty Doo, has already admitted to being a touch nervous at the prospect of facing the undefeated Warburton at their home patch this round. Bad signs? Perhaps. Or perhaps the Hammerheads coach is just enganging in a bit of 'small target' mind games. I certainly wouldn't put it past him. That being said, at 0-2, they need the win regardless.

For EddieV and his Wanderers, they just need to keep doing what they have done thus far; getting an even performance out of his 15.With Murphy and Kreuzer up against the Pies on Friday night, he'll need his lesser lights to carry the load.

SARAH ISLANDS SAVAGES963/10 VSPOPANYINING PYRITE 748/9

Will Hornsy's Jar ensnare another moderately suspecting victim? Probably, but then you never really know until it's over. The Savages, according to The Kash Man, have the best midfield in the land. And that's before they welcome back first choice midfielder David 'No Undy' Mundy to that mix this week.

The Pyrite, on the other hand, are no slouches themselves in this area, with their Quintet Of Terror (Boyd, Swallow, Shuey, Rich and Hayes) right up there. I expect Shuey to go large against the Giants, and NicNat to probably help him out in giving him clean taps from the ruck. So I guess we'll both be winners out of that.

    COULTA COULDABEENS 595/8VSMILIKAPATI SNAKES 952/11

Milikapati, still reeling from a savaging on last weekend, find themselves stopping over at Coulta on their way back to the top end. Both have fairly healthy lists, and I could genuinely see this match going either way.

The Snakes need Jack to stand up and tonup, and Anthony to put in a repeat of his GWS exhibition. Coulta, I think, will need to stop messing around with their squad and put their best team on the park. 4th round pick Enright needs to play.

MOUNT BUGGERY DISAPPOINTMENTS841/11 VSGLENROWAN GUNSLINGERS 657/8

Battle of the cellar dwellers. The Tankard Cup. GWS vs Melbourne. Whatever you want to call it. One of these teams will come out with their first win of the season. Unless it's a draw (too early to call), in which case hilarity will ensue.

There's not much to write home about here, but I'll give it my best bash. Glenrowan need Mummy to play and go large like his waistline, and Beams to justify his 3rd round selection. Yet they also welcome back Bock-Bock and Ziebell this week, so I expect improvement in scoring regardless.

The Disappointments need to show they're not just a one man team. Rocky needs to get back on the scoring bike, and Goldy probably needs to knock out his teammate in McIntosh to do the same.

    <img alt='' width='480px' src='http://img339.imageshack.us/img339/8150/ttvsmama.jpg[/img];
TORRUMBARRY THUNDA 810/10 VSMALLACOOTA MAGICIANS 981/12

The self proclaimed Hayden Ballantyne of the ORFFL in SKT will be looking to put up a better fight than last weekend dismal effort. He'll also need to, given that he's coming up against the competition leaders in Mallacoota. We al know about the Thunda's strength up forward (SKT has been at pains to let us all know), but someone(s) from his bargain midfield will need to tonup if Torrumbarry is to get within striking distance of the Magicians.

The Kash Man simply needs his team to keep performing as they have thus far. Firstly, because if they do, they'll probably win. Secondly, because even in victory The Kash Man likes to tear shreds off them. I would not like to be in the change sheds if and when they lose.
