COULTA COULDABEENS 1243 Def TARWIN LOWER PIGS 1132

There was something of a snafu with the team lists, but nothing snafuish about the Couldabeens performance; Coulta defeating Tarwin Lower by an awesome 111 points (I like palindromic numbers). Zaharakis (130) and Reilly (120) played well in demolitions, and the Port Adelaide midfield duo of Ebert (109) and McCarthy (105) lifted for their fantasy coach when their teammates could not. The win also sees them move into 8th spot.

The loss sees Tarwin Lower drop to 14th, and a series of questions asked of the players. Do they score enough? How is HMacs knee? What kind of a name is Jarryn? The answer to the first is pretty clear with Pendles (107) below par, and only Giles (134), and youngster Wallis (110) knocking up triple figures. The second, two weeks, tops. The third, NFI.

MALLACOOTA MAGICIANS 1280 Def by POOWONG POTOROOS 1355

It was as it was promised, a clash of two ORFFL heavyweights, Poowong downing Mallacoota by 75 points in a high scoring affair. Their highly touted midfield of Gary (125), Thompson (161), Sewell (140), and Mzungu (76) scoring 502 points in a mighty display of prowess. The other Thompson (116) and revelation, TheSherminator (104) also chipped in with nice hungies.

Meanwhile in the losers rooms, the Magicians skulk and sulk as they lament a lost chance stay in the Top4. Redden (118) performed well in a loss, Crameri (109) continued to prove what a find he is for Mallacoota, while Rance (108), Whitecross (100) and Wood (102) all reached the magical 100 point barrier. The simple fact is that with Fyfe, McEvoy and Harbrow out for extended periods, their depth is being tested. Not a good time to come up against 2nd.

WOY WOY WIZARDS 1219 Def by BONNIE DOON BANDITS 1284

Bonnie Doon walks out of Woy Woy feeling like they got away with one, victorious by 65 points. With a full squad on the park at last, the Bandits showed what they are capable of; Cox (141), Mitchell (101), Gia (100), Tippett (119), Coniglio (103), and Schoenmakersclangermakersnomore (104). The last two on the last showing good signs as relative youngsters in this team.

I wouldnt say its crisis time, but Woy Woy must have given serious thought of what they need to possibly do to get a win. They sit 13th on the ladder, and yet remarkably have scored the 6th most points in 2012. This week Sandi (126), Chappy (101), Monty (101) and Brian (108) played well, but ultimately the spectacular work was left to too few hands.

GLENROWAN GUNSLINGERS 975 Def by MERTON MEERKATS 1336

As Richmond molested Sydney, so did Merton do likewise to Glenrowan, to the tune of 361 points. The Meerkats dimmed the bright lights of Glenrowan; Cotchin (111), Newman (116), Foley (134), Grigg (111) and TheMullet (134) all running rampant. Fair to say that Merton have their own revelation in Sean Grigg (avg. 103), as everyone had ample opportunity in the draft to grab him, yet only one man had the balls.

For the Gunslingers, one probably just to forget and reload for next week. Two donuts, four players scoring less than 60, and only Beams (109) and Iles (127) tonning up. Picking Xavier Ellis in the 10th round is proving to be a bust given his decision not to relocate to Glenrowan.

SARAH ISLAND SAVAGES 1269 Def by WARBURTON WANDERERS 1272

Erggh. 3 points. On scaling. ON FREAKING SCALING!

Anyways, this weekend saw Warbuton do what no other team has done so far, defeating Sarah Island by 3 FREAKING POINTS! Lewis (119) and Hale (124) got the Wanderers off to a flyer, and the high scores continued with Griffen (123), Kruezer (115) and TheChad (106). The win sees them mosey up to 3rd spot, just one game off the crown.

Sadly, for Sarah Island, this week they give up the crown as they slip to 2nd place. Not to single anyone out...

.....Jarrad Waite. When you kicked the ball out of bounds in the last qtr (a free kick Gilbert took), you lost us the game.

MOUNT BUGGERY DISAPPOINTMENTS 1216 Def by MILIKAPATI SNAKES 1342

An amazing game in which Mount Buggery looked likely, yet Milikapati ended up doing it with ease. getting on top by 126 points. Lids (100) continued to justify his top billing, having tonning up in every game so far, while Birchall (122) and DuffMan (130) returned to form after last weeks paltry efforts. Pav (115) and Kelly (108) also exceeded the 100 mark and four other players (Anthony, Clarke, Gaff, Breust) also scored 90 or above in a solid team display.

At Mount Buggery, while theyre losing, at least theyre living up to the name. ThePermaCaptain (164) and Sidebum (156) belting out huge ones, with Suckling (103), Ward (113) and Clark (104) chipping in in supporting roles. Yet the class difference between their best and their worst continues to present as a chasm. Bate (13), Colyer (6) and Ellis (2) were ORFFL.

HUMPTY DOO HAMMERHEADS 990 Def by POPANYINNING PYRITE 1167

Winners all round here as Popanyinning get the metaphorical 4 points, winning by 177, and Humpty Doo look to have first pick in the midseason draft sown up. No offence to either of the coaches, but this game never really hit any great heights; Boyd (137), Shuey (110) and Hayes (107) the only men to reach triple figures for the victors. McPharlin (89, avg. 80), its worth mentioning, proving to be quite the handy pick in R25.

Over at Humpty Doo, it was Judd (144) and not much else. Sauce (97), Stiffy (95) and Wellers (89) played their part too, but this is a line-up thats been decimated by injury and Reimers. Still, on the bright side Pearce looks in good nick, which should make a bit of difference in a few weeks time.

JIMCUMBILLY JACKRABBITS 1072 Def by PURNULULU BUNGLE RANGERS 1243

The nightmare continues for Jimcumbilly, losign this week to the PBR by a sizeable 171 points. The Rangers had it all going for them this weekend; their experienced players in Selwood (114), Ryder (137), Heater (142), Walker (124) and HarryO (115) leading the way admirably. If Swallow recovers from injury, and Neeld decides to play Trengove in the midfield again, this team from Purnululu Bungle could be a serious threat once again.

At Jimcumbilly they must be tearing their hair out. Only Nick Dal Santo (101) went into triple figures. 5 players scored under 60. And Crazy Vossy giving ThePeoplesBeard the week off left them without a ruckman. Cazy Vossy will ruin many football teams, fantasy or no, before his time is up.

TORRUMBARRY THUNDA 1133 Def by QUEENSTOWN QUOLLS 1156

I had thought this match would be closer, and for most of the time it was, but in the end Queenstown ran away with it last night, beating Torrumbarry by 95 points. Queenstown were impressive in the victory which moved them into 7th; Swan (141) and Watson (149) dominating through the middle, with Trengove (105) and TheGoodGrimes (109) efficient in defence. Bears noting as well that the Quolls pick 25 in Hampson (87, avg. 82) is proving to be quite the find in that range.

Torrumbarry slip to 9th with that loss, disappointing, but not to far off the pack. Buddy (140) was electrifying (imagine if he had of kicked straight), and Greg (107), Jack (109) and DEMPSTERED (102) all played their parts, and played them well. Id imagine this team will look a lot better when Bernie and Douglas return from their sabbaticals.
