Found this little gem in the little paper today: 'Port football operations manager Peter Rohde said Jurrah's latest indiscretion had dampened Port's interest. 'It's probably got to the stage where we're getting less and less comfortable about getting involved with him,' Rohde said.' Good ol' Rohde (again). Port are only about 6 months behind in catching on to a situation that the rest of us understood long ago. With this sort of ability at the helm, can't see Port getting off the canvas any time soon (I'm afraid, I've nothing against Port).

Port ceased considering Jurrah for AFL service before the PS draft in December, however they had offered him an opportunity to play for the Magpies to give him the best chance to find his way back on an AFL list, as well as offering him a position within the club's community development office. Jurrah has failed to attend any training sessions with the Magpies, and has also failed to show up for the position offered to him by the club, and has been arrested for drink driving and failed to show up for court the other day in relation to the drink driving charge - he now has a warrant out for his arrest for failing to appear in court. In light of all this, Port now has pulled the pin on the offers to play with the Magpies and work within the community development office at the club - and rightly so. That fills in a little bit more of the story for ya mate
But the main point is, Port had ceased considering having any AFL involvement with Jurrah prior to the PS draft - the only involvement they were considering was at SANFL level only - so how that affects the AFL squad is beyond me. BTW J-Dog, first Friday or Saturday evening of March suit you for drinks mate???
Just keep diggin'. /Portals/0/User%20Images/Shovel.PNG Reckon I'm probably good for either at this stage. Still way down the track, I barely plan one week in advance!
