One of the disadvantages (and benefits) of being a newbie is learning all the player nicknames that you TS guys use. Even the rookies/draftees you seem to be able to jump onto nicknames early, like the Big O. I guess that's just an Aussie tradition. While you are mulling over your teams prior to the NAB Cup, if you have the time to throw up a few nicknames, it would be a great learning expeience.
I think you can look under each player and you can add nicknames. Also you can try on the top search function and see if they appear. If they do - it's a common nickname. If not, it's probably slang and half the other guys on here would have no idea what the writer is talking about either haha What is better though is the naming of combinations of players eg ruckmen. Sex on the Beach was the classic for Sandi-Cox. I'm sure eager minds will do something with Orren.
Sex on the beach - very clever. Wait till Dick gets back for Freo and plays West Coast. Anyway, it's cricket time, go Aussies.
Was just reading (lunch at the cricket) about Dustin Martin and Tyson Goldsack being Gold Dust...get's away from the rudeness Bearfly!
Some ruck combos here: Sandilands and Luenberger(Sandi and Berger) could become Beach Take-Away or Beach Cafe Naitanui and Ryder could become Nic Nat Paddy Whack
Dekka, as Lucas mentioned, the whole reason I put in the nickname feature is because I couldn't for the life of me, figure out who "juice" was. Now though, there is a lot of nicknames entered into the system, so you can enter them up the top there in the search and generally find them out. Also, if you do have any nicknames that don't come up, feel free to enter them in on the player profiles, it helps the whole community out when you do!!
Although I could be stating the obvious, the big O is Orren Stephenson. In case you were wondering...
