I was wondering if there was a list of fantasy relevant players who have had interrupted preseasons (ie: injuries, off-season surgery, missing training, other off-field issues) I'd appreciate some news of other players with interrupted preseasons and this thread might even become a list of those players List so far: C.Judd B.Lake (rehab) M.Hurley J.Riewoldt N.Fyfe C.Sylvia J.Grimes D.Zaharakis D.Mundy B.Waters S.Rowe (carlton) J.Drummond T.Cotchin B.Waters M.Barlow (Soreness in leg) M.LeCras (Season! Consider next year) B.Macaffer (season, acl) Rookies D.Zorko J.Elliot J.Patton
Whats the oil on Lake ??. Coad is another I'm keen to find news on . As usual Bearfly hits the nail on the head with an important thread !!.
From StKilda only ones of real note are Goddard & Dal Santo (although only fractured thumb & was made to run lap after lap after lap) Winmar & Milera have also but doubt they'd be on anyones radar.

Embley out for 3-6 weeks Brent Staker's (knee) season is over. Josh Drummond (hip) and Todd Bandfield (knee) should return in NAB Cup. Chris Judd has impressed since minor shoulder surgery in December. Nick Duigan (knee), Simon White (hamstring) and Sam Rowe (ac joint) may be late starters. Ben Reid (shoulder), Cameron Wood (shoulder), Nathan Brown (knee) and Luke Rounds (groin) may all play NAB Cup. David Mundy (ankle), Anthony Morabito (knee) and Nathan Fyfe (shoulder) should play NAB Cup despite disrupted pre-seasons. Nathan Vardy (hip) and Dawson Simpson (back) are out until May/June. Travis Varcoe (foot) may miss six weeks. Josh Caddy (hip), Jack Hutchins (knee), Brandon Matera (groin) and Trent McKenzie (knee) all may be late starters. arryd Roughead (Achilles) and Stephen Gilham (knee) are back training but unlikely to play pre-season. Max Gawn (knee) won't play this season and Liam Jurrah (wrist) will be late starter. Dees will nurse Colin Sylvia (quad) and Jack Grimes (navicular bone) back for Round 1. Daniel Wells (blood clots) won't take part in contact training until next month. Hawthorn recruit Brent Renouf is set to return in three weeks while Matthew Lobbe (hip) and Cameron Hitchcock (shoulder) will miss the start of the season. Trent Cotchin (calf) and Jack Riewoldt (hips, finger, ankle) are both on track for Rd 1, but Kelvin Moore (hip) and David Astbury (knee) remain long-term casualties. James Gwilt (knee) will be sidelined for some time. Dan Hannebery (knee) is facing a month off but Mitch Morton (infection) has recovered. Beau Waters (elbow) has been carefully managed in the build up to 2012. Brian Lake (hip/knee) and Dale Morris (leg) are still in rehab, but Tom Williams (foot) has resumed full training. All From the AFL and Heraldsun websites
Still an impressive compilation 11kgm, thanks for that! Anybody have any insider goss on Grimes? He must be doing something right for Neeld to come in and name him captain, I'm just not sure what? Is he back at training yet?

What's the situation with Goddard?

What's the situation with Goddard?
Nah Dal's injury has had no affect on his p/s, as he told me he said he is as fit as he has ever been. BJ had post season hip operation, and only resumed full training 2-3 weeks ago. Wont affect him either but it seems this thread is getting picky with players posted!!
Haha, yea I'll list players who are fantasy relevant. (Or at least those I would consider in my team )

I'd like to see Lake back in action and I'm sure a lot will be enticed by his low $ but sounds like he's a LONG way from home yet.
Still if Lake's having an interrupted pre-season it could mean that he averages 70-75 at best. When someone like Bower or Marty Clarke could do the same thing and are much cheaper, Lake doesn't seem like that great of an option anymore. Even Phil Davis priced similarly to Lake could be a better option. I see that Duigan has had knee problems and will miss early games. This could improve Bower's chances?
Bower and Marty Clarke would have to break into 2 strong sides, however, in order to get games. I'm not convinced they are in each side's best 22. You'd think that if fit, Lake would slot straight in and slowly improve his average?
Two rookies now added to the list Zorko and Elliot But I think most people may still choose them if they are available for Round 1

Quote from Bearfly on February 6, 2012, 18:35 Latest from Port - Hartlett out for approx 6 weeks with torn quad
Poor bloke is always injured, when does his 7 years bad luck end?
