This poll is quite simple - should we be able to trade our minidraft picks or not? I wouldn't mind seeing people's opinions on this - why / why not - but obviously its not compulsory to state your opinion / reasoning.
I've voted yes, as I think every pick should be able to be traded, but I am quite torn on this one, because I also feel that being an "equalisation measure" it might reduce the effect if we do trade (or, it could increase the effect... really don't know). Edit: @bryzza 's comment in the other thread has made me think... its too early on a Sunday for that kind of nonsense! I don't know how trading would work.... any suggestions? The majority vote was that this would be 2 rounds of supplementary drafting, after everyone already has their 26 players. Not sure how to make trading work, unless its a pick swap in the minidraft and a pick swap in a different draft all in the one trade... hmmmmm.... Edit 2: You may call me a swinger!
I voted yes but misunderstood the wording. I don't believe we should be able to trade those mini draft picks but we should be able to trade the players we take with those picks. I changed my vote to NO.
Not sure I'm right on this BUT if we allow trading of Mini Draft picks, then I assume it will be done during the trading period prior to the PSD as the Mini Draft is to be held straight after. That being the case, then that would take out of play trading 2017 MSD picks during the 2017 Pre- season Trading period, as our rules state we can only trade two drafts ahead. That would be the 2017 PSD and 2017 Mini-DRAFT.
yeah lets try and keep it simple as we're making things complex enough by adding extras as well as mandatory movements. mini draft picks must remain their own
I'd like to see the mini-draft with double picks starting from 18th through to 1st; for this reason I voted no.
No problem guys. I only announced to keep things moving, as we'd hit a quota to support such an announcement. Everyone else can keep voting if they want to!!!
