Portsie - we don't do "RMT" threads until much closer to the start of the season.

Its not quite how we work here.

For now maybe sit back, enjoy the ride, get some research under your belt and revisit things in a little while!

    Thanks mate.

No need to apologise portsie - welcome to TS!

Rate my team threads arent very important at this early stage of the pre-season as your team will most likely change 100 times between now and round 1 Lock-Out. In the week prior we tend to dedicate the entire week to RMT's as we are getting down to the final stages of drafting your team and it will be most beneficial.

At this time we concentrate on discussion different strategies and team structures and getting that right before we settle into individual player comparisons.

There is an abundance of information in this site - check all the articles and read through the discussion about each topic on the home page. There is also the forum here where more specific discussions take place - i suggest reading through the positional focus threads as they will help you decide on the structures you want to follow. And finally the "piece-de-resistance", check out the stats page for historical data on every afl player. I have lost many many hours of my life in there but every second is worth it :)

Also, dont be afraid to contribute to discussions where you see fit - we welcome all opinions and debates are very much encouraged here. Good Luck!

The 'position focus' topics (midfielders, defenders.forwards and rucks) are a good place to start for individual player discussion.

These, coupled with 'structure debate' threads will be the big ones up until the nab cup finishes. By then, we should all have a good idea as to how the afl sides are setting up their playing group; in which position players are likely to be played and whether that's good or bad for SC scoring; which rookies are likely to get early game time and which are likely to be downgrade options and so forth.

And when the RMT thread does pop up, please PLEASE paste in the D: x,y,z(a,b) format rather than one player on each line!!! So much easier to read and view as a whole. :)

Ditto the RMT structure though (a,b,c) will be needed more often pushing positions onto multiple lines. :)

Spud on the structure, it's interesting. Everyone has a good structure, but then the NAB comes along, and if we all see this year's Barlow appear from nowhere, immediately the structures are adjusted.

Look on the comments regarding Droopy (Petrie) to see how much a community can change on one performance/suspension.
