So I still have "The Knife" in my team. He dropped 11k last week and has a BE of 80 this week. How does the McEvoy injury affect him? Is he potentially worth keeping for a few more weeks now? We all no the dramatic impact being a sole (or close to) ruck can have on scoring, just look at Cox on the weekend. I would have thought if he rucks for 60-70% from now on, he could get 80-90 every week. Suggestions/thoughts?
McEvoy didn't play at all last week and he still only scored 45. I didn't watch the game, was he rucking? He had 7 HO's, Blake had 18.
Well it has been one game without McEvoy already and he spent not even 20% of the match in the ruck... Which is crazy... As soon as I heard McEvoy won't be playing I thought sweet more ruck time and points for Stanley... Wasn't the case... Even Kosi spent more time in the Ruck then him on Saturday night and Blake was rucking for at least 50-60% of the game! Will most likely keep Stanley for another week and hopefully he spends more time in the middle!
@DC Yes thats the issue. I guess I was hoping that was more due to how late in the week Big Mac was out. Now that they have had more time to plan/prepare, I am hoping he can get more time through there. As SKT has said his JS is 100%.
Dont worry every single Saints supporter couldnt believe he didnt ruck on the weekend. I think part of reason may have been to throw Hawthorn off a little as when they heard news they would have thought Stanley. I reckon he will ruck fair bit this week, which hopefully sees his scores go up again.
Jason Blake Contests: 45 Hitouts: 18 Justin Koschitzke Contests: 26 Hitouts: 7 Rhys Stanley Contests: 18 Hitouts: 7 http://www.heraldsun.com.au/afl/more-news/saints-give-up-huge-height-advantage/story-e6frf9jf-1226350040248
Blake wouldnt cope with kreuzer and hampson! Surely needs Stanley's help When Fisher went down on weekend I thought surely Blake would go back... Wasn't the case either... Coach must have a lot of faith in him!
Held on Stanley - 9 disposals, 3 marks, 5 tackles, 2 goals, 2 goal assists, 15 hitouts, 97 supercoach points.
Stanley's prob in the ruck was that he has no football brain at all and so gets very few possessions. As a leadup forward the ball gets delivered. On the other hand, his elite athleticism gave him about 8-10 hitouts to advantage which is where his big score came from. (plus those goals which cant be expected to occur regularly). For those who have him, he's handy.
