Fark, that was a nasty injury! And in the last 30 seconds :S . Definately have to make a trade this week to trade him out. Did anyone else keep him after he missed the first two rounds? I'm probably going to have to trade him for a player with a round 12 bye (I have 4 from rd 11 and 5 from rd 13).

The main options are, in no particular order, Cloke, Sidebottom, Crameri, Goodes, Chappy and Pavlich. Who does everyone reckon would be the best? Also, who is everyone else that has him getting instead?

being an essendon supporter i didnt even have crameri on my radar (need a smack on the head ) but hes scoring well tho see how he goes with hurley out , he might get a bit more attention untill hurley can take the best defender

sidebum has been scoring well and might get more points now that ball is gone

and i think cloke is a solid player with his good marking ( hope he spuds it up on anzac day )

and the big pav doesnt seem to score huge with lyons game plan

i had grey in my dt side , waited with him on the bench too ( doh

I had Gray. I was at the game and I saw someone go to ground I just knew it was Gray :(

At this stage I have gone Gray > Rusty (Sidebottom), the only other option that is tempting me is to trade Gray for Treloar then upgrade another rookie to someone like Boyd in the mids. But then that makes my forwards just too weak so I probably wont do that.

    Rusty seems the best replacement,
with Ball out he's bound to see more midfield action,
he's one of those guys who recovers quickly from hard matches,
more resilient than most, has he ever even missed a match from injury?
Watch him v the bombers after this 4 day break, looking as though he's coming off an 8 day spell.

Not keen on this because I've been burnt before, but Gray > Tippet makes you 15k and the Big Tiprat is in fine form at the moment?

    Thought?

Saw the replay of Gray going down. That is awful luck, 31 seconds left of the game.

If you can afford him, go for Goodes.

    Poor guy.

But really does confirm that he sits on the list with Higgins et al.

Last season the only season he's ever played full I think?

Stiff would be a genuine star if body held up. Not rated nearly high enough here in Vic for his ability. Has Stevie J type skills and capable of playing as a mid. But suppose all that is irrelevant if ya can't stay on the park.

I hate it when a POD goes down.

Tempted by Tippet, but can't trust him. Still too prone to deliver a 30.

Crameri is looking real good this year, but can he sustain it?

Cloke is the boring option, but probably safest.

And then there is always Goodes, although I am not sure why I am wary this year.

    (note - already have Sidebum)

I am thinking of maybe moving Kennedy into my mids and trade Gray for a mid - Ward and Barlow look interesting.

I already have Robinson, Sidebottom, Zaha and Martin.

The other option is to trade him for Trealor and then upgrade a mid next week to Swan, Mitchell, Murphy or Boyd

@jesters all of the players you've listed have R12 byes whereas Gray would have had a R13 bye.

@FF I hope you haven't mozzed my avatar.

@ jprockbelly please write "Beware of Tippett" on the blackboard 100 times before completing the trade.
