In which walesy laments his premiums, reviews a game or two and slips in some kind of joke about how this weekend contained Steak and Blowjob day AND Swallow did great.

I dunno. Imagine an excellent play on words there.

Reviews are on their way though, as usual though, they are on walesy time.

In the meantime though, how did we all do?! Footy's back!!

Oh, and currently, sitting on color: #000000;]1291/12+C - Under par by about Cloke and B. Ellis I reckon.

    GWS vs Sydney

I know it's going early, but man. Upset of the year in game 2. Seriously. How good were the Giants!?

And how about that rain! It started a nice sunny day, started raining through the first quarter, and and the quarter ended, the rain was going sideways and quarter time had to be extended and the field cleared least lightning strike! Fearsome stuff.

Treloar was a beast, with 34 disposals, 15 contested and a massive 154SC. Mumford, is looking like a massive pickup, with 45 hitouts, 13 disposals and a very nice 132SC. If the bloke can play 22 games, you've got a huge win on your hands. Ward was also huge with 31 disposals, 24 of them contested. Personally, I'd give the bloke the 3 votes to go with his 131SC.

On Sydney's side it was ugly. No scores over 100, though it was good to see that Parker wasn't effected by that eye, top scoring with 23 touchs and 95SC. Equaling top score was 'rookie' Jeremy Laidler. His scores were looking very bad, scoring just 7 in the first quarter, but finished the game with an excellent SC/DT ratio of 95 from 16 touches.

Rookies of note, ouside of Laidler, was Harry Cunningham, who looked good in his game, just 13 touches, but plenty of tackles and a high efficiency rate in delivering forward helped him to a tidy 66.

Gary Rohan on the other hand managed just 47SC from 9 touches and from reports, pulled up very sore the next day. Still, a weeks break and he'll be cherry ripe.

On the injury front, Rhys Palmer went off with hamstring, while Jack was a late withdrawal due to back tightness.

And finally, the million dollar man. Lance Buddywood Bondi Buddinski Franklin (His full title)- kicked a great goal early from outside the 50- and then from all reports, kicked up his heels on the boundry, signed a few autographs and was spotted playing beer pong in between the 6 remaining touches he had. Money well spent. 54SC.

Heroes: Treloar, Mumford, Ward, Kennedy, Laidler

Villains: Franklin, Palmer, Lance, O'Keefe, Buddy, Hannebery, Bondi.

    Gold Coast vs Richmond

Gary 'Can you please have my child' Ablett. I love you. My my, with Dixon and Martin out at half time, in the hot humid heat of Queensland, the Suns were still able to run out stronger than Richmond. Worrying signs for the competition as a whole really.

As mentioned, Ablett was fantastic, despite just 2 touches in the 2nd quarter, his 39 touches in the other quarters more than made up for it, scoring him 140SC. However, he didn't top score. No, that honor went to the Human Meatball, young Dion Prestia. 32 touches and a game high 17 contested posessions scored Dion a 144SC. Finally, former #1 pick finally looks to be hitting his strides, with 27 touches and a very tasty 135SC and forcing those coaches silly enough to go without to take a quick look at their list and perhaps... make adjustments.

Rookie wise, it wasn't ideal. Clay Cameron did a good enough job, with 7 touches and 50SC- however his position in the team is still definitely under threat from the return of Rory Thompson, Lemmens picked up 12 touches and 37SC in an effort that won't force any trade-ins, while Martin had a shocker, going off injured in the first quarter for just a 9SC. That's one trade burnt.

Finally, anyone out their take a risk on Charlie Dixon? Didn't do any rucking and got himself taken out of the game at half time with a concussion. Not great.

On Richmonds side, Deledio top scored like he does so often with 33 touches and 136SC. Matt Thomas, if you had the stones to select him, was fantastic, recording 29 touches at an 83% efficiency rate. Might be worth a sneaky sideways if you're that way inclined.

One guy I did want to mention. Shaun THE HAMMER Hampson. I remember being mocked over the last few weeks for talking up this bloke. Does great as the #1 banana I said. Well, ya know what? 37 hitouts and 107SC from the big man was a fantastic return on investment. Better than Lobbe, Better than Pyke, Better than Hickey. I tells ya. Maric is gone til after the bye and Hammer is a bargain.

Griffiths was subbed out, after 10 disposals and 68SC. He's prohibitiably expencive is the VS games, however, he's priced as cheap as dirt over in AFL Fantasy land. Jump on after the free-hit-round.

Ellis and Riewoldt had games I'd rather forget. The former though, I didn't think was so bad as to be a 46, thought maybe a 60ish. Roo though was ugly. 9 touches and 5 clangers and perhaps the most hilarious steamroll I've ever seen.

Finally, McDonough. 11 touches and 45SC. Not the best, but early days, I'm keeping the faith. The kid is a ball magnet and in a game where most of Richmonds backline also scored poorly, I'm not going to hold it against him just yet.

Heroes: Prestia, Ablett, Swallow, Deledio, Thomas, Hampson

Villains: Dixon, Ellis, Riewoldt, walesy (For not fitting in that Swallow joke anywhere)
