So, we are now officially halfway through the season, and my my my, we had a lot of injuries this round. I hope everyone has the trades, or at least bench coverage, to deal with it!

So the first game for the weekend was the Saints vs Richmond. Honestly, it started exactly as I expected- but in the 2nd and 3rd quarters I reckon the Tiges showed some real heart. Theyre already a much better team than 10 games ago- that said though, theyre still a few years away from putting 4 quarters together solidly- but I reckon theyre headed in the right direction. Anyways, the top scorer for the game, of course, was Goddard. 38 touches and a massive 188 points. Montagna and Milne were the next highest scorers with 143 and 130. Newman top scored for the Tiges with 125. J. Riewoldt kicked 6 goals, totally 20 in the past 4 weeks. Webberly put in a fantastic 78, and is looking good for the rest of the season, while Nason got a miserly 8 touches and 23. Probably needs to have a week off soon, so its a good thing the split round is coming up.

Next game saw the Blues beat the Demons by 41 points. That said, the Demons had a spirited 3rd quarter- but outside that, were fairly would routed. Bruce top scored with a solid 142. Waite had a solid game back, and I would say to everyone to hop on board- cept for the fact that he *might* be spending a little more time on the sidelines. Robinson is starting to deliver on the promise he offered in the preseason, averaging 107 since getting back into the team. Once again Gysberts impressed with an 84, and a -99 BE moving into next week. Looks good as one of the last posible downgrades if you havent freed up all your cash. But as always, wait til hes named for a third game. Scully and Trengove disappointed on return with a 53 and 41 while Jack Watts bottom scored with a 22.

The next game saw one of the upsets of the row. Adelaide defeated the Fremantle Dockers. Man- Ive gotten this game tipped wrong twice now. Johncock topscored with a fairly nice 154, while Barlow returned with a 151. Big Sandilands did well scoring 130, but a big hit on Phil Davis might see him spend some time on the sidelines... But I guess thats for the MRP to decide. Hill had a nice return to form with a 115- I reckon with his ceiling, well be a nice pickup next year if he can raise up his low games. Dangerfield did well for those coaches that held onto him with 118 while Fyfe put in a solid 88. Kepula Bradley did alright scoring 79 but didnt quite hit the heights of the last few weeks.

Saturday night saw the second big upset with the Kangeroos getting over the Lions by a single point with Levi Greenwood scoring 111 for the game winning goal. Honestly, I thought after the third, that the Lions were going to get over the top of them, but to the Kangeroos credit, they held their resolve and came away with a big win. Season on. Johnstone top scored with 157 while Rockliff scored a fantastic 140. Heh, take that Podsialy fans. Rockliff 1, Podsiadly 7. Harvey put in a big game scoring 128 points. The biggest news for most supercoaches however, was Matt Maguire. The injury updates on his foot are going to be important to almost everyones trading this week. One the plus side, his 73 meant that hes not going to crash in price like injuries tend to do to people. Fevlova put in another 5 goals, and once didnt get rewarded for it with a 62. Meanwhile Banfield says Mooooo.

The other game on Saturday night saw the Eagles really take it to the Cats. Personally, I reckon had West Coast kicked as straight as Geelong early, they might have done enough to hold out the Cats 4th quarter charge. Not to be though with the Cats winning by 4 goals. Chapman top scored, as Chapman does with a 142. He did look pretty sore throughout the game though, so I reckon hes hanging out for the split round. Selwood scored 123, while Priddis top scored for the Eagles on 121- Which was the same score as both Ablett and Waters. Podsiadly probably got the softest 76 points kicking 1.3, considering 3 of his 5 kicks were ineffective (behinds) and he only had 11 touches all up. Hurn kinda disappointed, turning 94 DreamTeam points into 73 SuperCoach points. His SC/DT ratio has been tracking downwards for the last few weeks- I wonder if hes getting some closer attention, even though he does seem to be touching it more. Perhaps I should take back what I said about him a few weeks ago- go back to 15 touch tons Hurn, please!. Meanwhile Stevenson did alright coming back from a week out.

Sunday started off with a wet weather slog up in Sydney with the Swans getting over the Bombers. A tight match all game seeing scores level at both half and three quarter time. But it was inaccurate kicking that kept the Bomers in it at three quarter time and the Swans finally pulled away in the third. Bolton top scored with a massive 193 while McVeigh and Welsh brought in the top score for the Bombers with 136. Mumford scored a very tasty 104, which Im sure was helped by Hille going off with a hammy early and scoring 9. Looks like my name matching has once again failed me with one of the L. Jettas scoring a 95 while the other got a 34. Playfair disappointed with a 23, but it was D. Myers who bottom scored with a miserable 8.

Hawthorn continued their winning ways, breaking back into the 8 with a win against the Power- though they were helped along the way with inaccuracy from the Power. Speaking of inaccuracy though, Hodge top scored with 136, but kicked 1.5 in the process. Boak did well for the Power with 136 while Pearce scored 118. Rioli seems to be hitting his straps now that the Hawks are winning again registering another ton, Im half expecting the Bay to start calling him a front runner, but we here all know better!. The footballer formerly known as Studly Chad registered 1 kick, 3 handballs for 10 points- did he cop an injury or something?

The last game for the round was the big one, Collingwood v the Bulldogs. And as with last week, the Dogs were soundly beaten over 3 quarters and then came home with a wet sail. Although the questions will be raise, surely they will click soon and start bringing that form to 4 quarters. Boyd top scored with a 148 while Pendlebury and Cross also broke 140 with a 145 and 144. Cooney is looking great as an M6 for those who started with him scoring 123, whilst Thmas continued his breakout form with a 122. Luke Ball got into some form scoring 106- But its too late for my team, being subbed out for Montagna this week. Higgins is looking like a bit of an injury concern going off early, and from what I hear might need surgury to get himself right.

So there we go, there was some big scores this round, but also so injuries to some pretty big names. Keep in mind with your trading though that the split round is fast approaching, so any injuries scored now can effectively take a week off the recovery.

The TS leagues are currently sitting 18th, 39th, 49th, 51st and 112nd. Meanwhile, the TS Pinewarmers have moved up to #17, or #1 in these parts. Quality work guys!

The highest score for this round was 2731, and with so many big scores reported, the Sideways cup, as you would expect has been shaken. I didn;t expect what I saw though! The top 20 positions on the ladder are now all taken up by round 11! What a huge round!!

Tipping saw Fish take it out with a solid 8 from 8. Quality tipping mate.

So, what are you plans this week? How are you gunna handle it all?

Stats are updating- catch you all in the morning!
