I think this week was summed up well in the live chat- Bi-polar. There have been some utterly massive performances, along with a fair number of average efforts. As such though, I wouldnt be suprised to see *somebody* crack that magical 2700 mark- though I reckon Buddys out will put the kibosh on that.

    Essendon vs Melbourne
    Result: Melbourne by 33, 15.11.101 to 10.8.68

Well, it was mentioned in the chat- completely tounge in cheek of course, that the Bombers were unfairly disadvantaged by the bye, but sadly as a Bombers fan, I cant hang my hat on that. The Demons were fantastic and really put together a solid midfield effort with a rock solid defence. So often (particularly in the first half), the Bombers would drive forward and constantly be shut down by the super efforts of Rivers and Frawley. However, it was Moloney who top scored for the game with 28 touches and a pair of goals for a 132SC. McKenzie also picked up 28 touches for a 124SC while Jack Trengove was a welcome return, also picking up 28 touches for a 115SC. Brad Green looks to have played himself back into form, kicking 4 goals and picking up 113SC for his efforts while Jordan Gysberts got the most touches on ground, collecting 30 for a 111SC. You have to go down to Lonergan, to find the only Bomber to ton up who managed 29 touches but not a lot else. The villians were rife on the Bombers side with Paddys 65, Hilles 54 and bellys 40 leading the charge, meanwhile on the Demons side, a 1st quarter corky to Sylvia saw him subbed off for just 32SC. The rookie however were fantastic- well, not the sub Browne who only managed 17SC, but Heppells 79, Martins 87, Hibberds 89 and Howes 97 were fantastic. Meanwhile, Strauss put in a tidy 70 while Gawn got himself a 50 and Nicholson a 46.

    Heros: Moloney, McKenzie, Green
    Villians: Sylvia, Ryder, Hille

    Geelong vs Western Bulldogs
    Result: Geelong by 61, 23.10.148 to 13.9.87

It was all Geelong early, all Geelong through the middle, then just to be different, all Geelong at the end as the cats put the torch to the Doggies, running out 10 goal winners. The Dogs got a little bit back late, doubling their score in the final quarter, but its pretty safe to say that the Cats had not only put the cue back into the rack, but had also covered the tables, balanced the til, turned the lights of and were well on their way back home to bed. Leading the was was Brad Ottens who was in vintage form with 5 goals and a handy 16 hitouts for a 158SC. StevieJ was just behind- backing up last weeks massive game with 27 touches, 2 goals and a 147SC. Next up was the Dogs Giansiracusa who was the one dog who can hold his head tall, touching the pill 23 times and kicking 5 for a fantastic 145SC. Jimmy B had a welcome return to form collecting 29 touches playing loose in defense for a beautiful 144SC. Finally, rounding out the top5 was Podsiadly who managed 3 goals for a 121SC. Lots was expected from Selwood this week, so there will probably be a fair few disappointed by his 103, but at least he tonned up- not like Boyd who could only manage a 72SC. On the rookie front, Vardy was spectacular, breaking his bubble with an 84SC while Wallis managed a tidy return of 71SC.

    Heros: Ottens, SJ, Bartel
    Villians: Lake, Boyd, Varcoe

    West Coast vs Gold Coast
Result: West Coast by 18, 13.7.85 to 10.7.67

The battle of the Coasters started with the Western variety kicking the first 6 goals of the game in what looked to be a complete whitewash. However, a bit of Ablett brilliance saw the GC right back in the hunt and trailing by 2 at the final break. Sadly, they couldnt follow it up and only managed 1.1 in the last to go down by 3. I gotta say, I find myself more and more enjoying the weekly efforts of the Suns and have to applaude their never say die attitudes and enthusiasm- its very enjoyable. Cox top scored for the game with 26 touches, 28 hitouts and 2 goals for a very lovely 166SC. Gaz top scored for the GC with a 154SC off 32 touches. LeCras did nicely, his 28 touches enough for a 144SC while the SC:DT ratio man, Shannon Hurn manage a 131DT score, so it was always going to be a decent one. 140SC off 30 touches with a 90% DE. Z.Smith rounded out the top5 with a 118SC- give this guy the RS already please! Considering how the West Coast premiums all did well his week, while the GC are full of rookies, I reckon its pretty tough to find some villians, but Ill dig deep and give it to the man whos wife just gave birth to his 2nd child- Andrew Embley could only score a 69SC off 18 touches this week. Meanwhile, just cause I had him on the field, Stanleys 48SC just wasnt good enough! Darling provided a decent return of 75SC while McKenzie put in a nice 94, but it was the old heads that put it together for the gc this week.

    Heros: Cox, Ablett, LeCras
    Villians: Embley, Swallow, Harris

    Brisbane vs Sydney
    Result: Sydney by 65, 17.14.116 to 7.9.51

I sure hope everyone took me up on my tip for the Swannies this week, coming into this gme as underdogs they went absolutely bananas at one stage, dominating the in50s 21 to 2. Jude Bolton top scored with 35 touches for a 148SC while Adam Goodes turned 19 touches and 2 goals into a 144SC. OKeefe had 27 touches, but with a 52% DE could only secure 143SC while JP Kennedy got himself a 132SC off 25 touches. Jarrad McVeigh rounded out the top5 with 23 touches and a 120SC. A lot of villians on the Lions side this week with Leuenberger the only one to manage a ton. Alex Johnson put in a monster effort with a beautiful 95SC, but that was just about it for the rookies that did anything decent. Meanwhile for the villians, it was all Lions, Power (49), Adcock (47), Brown (39), Bewick (20) - but I spose we should make it fair and throw a swan in there- Grundys 68SC just wasnt what weve come to expect from the big man.

    Heros: Jude Bolton, Goodes, ROK
    Villians: Brown, Adcock, Power

    Collingwood vs St Kilda
    Result: Collingwood by 57, 16.12.108 to 7.9.51

It was the grand final replay, and as the commentators loved to point out, just missed the grand final scoreline by a single point. The Saint were pretty good early, but a couple of goals (which some might say were a little questionable) saw the Pies go into the main break 8 points up. Enter Lyon taking the hard tag off Thomas and enter the Pies- 10.7 to 2.6 in the second half with Daisy picking up 19 touches could see a number of coaches putting the screws on Daisy in the coming weeks. That said, it was Pendlebury who top scored for the game. His 32 disposals with an utterly elite 94% DE enough to see his bring home a 149SC. McEvoy top scored for the Saint with 22 touches and 30 hitouts for a 142SC. Sam Fisher (127), Dal Santo (123) and Gwilt (120) all combined beautifully across the half back line for the Saints to round out the top5. Biggest villian for the game has to be Montagna (65), but to be fair- he did go off early with a knee and looked pretty proppy throughout the game. On the rookie front, Krakouer did well with a 84SC as did Steven, who would have done better were it not for the 48% DE. Simpki did alright, managing a 61SC however Siposs disappointed, only managing a 25SC while playing Buddy-coverage for a fair few teams I reckon.

    Heros: Pendlebury, McEvoy, Fisher
Villians: Montagna, Didak (Is it worth including him every week!?), Siposs

    Hawthorn vs Fremantle
    Result: Hawthorn by 22, 17.9.111 to 13.11.89

Nothing but respect for the game of both teams in this game. Fremantle were fantastic, away from home without the big man, predictions were for a whitewash- but it wasnt to be ah Hawthorn turned it on with a massive 9 goal final term to stamp their foots (feet?) on the competition. Roughead top scored for the game with a solid 133SC off 22 touches followed by Mitchell whos 31 disposals saw him amass 123SC. Rioli got a little bit ripped off, while hugely prominent early, wasnt a part of the revival and only scored 121SC for his 5 goals. Griffin top scored for the Dockers and if Sandi was out for longer, youd think long and hard about bringing his massive 108 average into your side this week, while Broughton rounded out the top5 in a very welcome return to form, scoring a 114SC off 29 touches. One thing Id like to note is Fyfe- his shoulder has been a big concern for him the last 2 games, yet he still managed a 110; If he could get that right, just imagine the scores he could be knocking out! I bet the bye cant come fast enough for him! Hodge (95) and Mundy (85) both seemed a little down on what we hoped for, while those who jumped on Guerra last week will be spewing with his 51SC. Remember, dont go chasing last weeks points!! On the rookie front, Puopolo was very good with an 85, Lower and Bailey both managed a solid 76 while Breust put in a spectacular effort with a 3 goal 72 as the sub. Hes gunna own that green vest if he keeps that form up! Meanwhile, Mzungu broke his bubble with a 64, Crichton scored a 39, Clarke a 26 and Lisle who replaced Buddy and was subbed off, a 35SC

    Heros: Roughead, Mitchell, Rioli
Villians: Guerra, Palmer, Franklin (late withdrawal and a possible 1-2 week injury- how could you son!)

    North Melbourne vs Adelaide
Result: North Melbourne by 47, 18.7.115 to 10.8.68

It was all North Melbourne, but a more accurate subset for the first quarter is that it was all Andrew Swallow. Absolutely dominated, 17 touches- 5 frees, 10+ contestest touches and the first goal of the game combined to see the quarter worth a massive 105SC. He couldnt keep up such heady figures, but finished the game with 39 touches, a freakish 27 of them contested, 2 goals for a huge 193SC! Trailing behind in second place is Goldstein whos 48 hitouts scored him a 144SC- Reckon hell be in my squad next year, but for those rocking the gold member ruck combo, you have to be happy! Third place was shared by both Drew Petrie and his 4 goals, and Johncock who both managed a very nice 124SC. Rounding out the top5 for this game was Jack Ziebell who put in a great return of 119SC. Big Cam Pedersen broke his bubble this game with a very solid 72, while Atley continued to burn along with a 66. Over on the Crows side, Gunston did pretty good with a 74, matching L.Thompsons performance. Speaking of Thompsons though, there will be plenty of sad coaches with S.Thompsons return of 83SC- but at least he wasnt Knights, who just couldnt get his game started, sitting on -3DT at quarter time, managed to finished the game with a 55SC, just as current SuperCoach Rising Star leader, Matthew Wright did.

Heros: Swallow, Swallow, Swallow (Goldstein and Petrie also)
    Villians: Harvey, Knights, Symes

    Port Adelaide vs Carlton
    Result: Carlton by 62, 16.15.111 to 7.7.49

The final game for the round saw the Blues hosted by the Power. It was a fairly tight affair for the first half, but after that it was all one way traffic with the Blues kicking an 8.4 final term to 0.0. Mitch Robinson top scored for the Blues with a 34 touch 146SC including 16 contested. Walker had a day out around the goals kicking 6 on his way to a 130SC while Murphy managed a 127SC off 32 touches and a goal. Yarran was fantastic tonight, his 25 touches scoring him a 116SC while Scotland did well with a 113SC. Ports top scorer, and only player to ton up was Chaplin, who was able to score a 104SC off 20 touches. Pittard did well with a 70, as did Philips with a 66, but it was Duigan who stole the rookie show with a huge 98SC. Jacobs picked up a 48 while Curnow struggled a little in his first game back, only scoring a 44- though it did look like he played himself into form as the game went on.

    Heros: Robinson, Walker, Murphy
    Villians: Judd, Gray, Kornes

So thats it- how did we all go? There were a fair few bullets go out this week- but if you did manage to avoid them all, there was a lot of gold out there. So, did it all come up :milhouse: for ya?
