Holy wowzers, its a week that will go down in infamy. Gotta be the single hugest week in the history of ever. So much so that this weeks winner- which I sure will be out by the time I finish this article, will have their name and score recorded forever at the bottom of this post so that we can- in future times- look back and say- I remember the first dude that scored over 3000!

But before we review the week that was SuperCoach, join us over the break to take a look at the games that got us there.

    <!--more-->

    North Melbourne vs Carlton
    Result: Carlton by 18, 11.14.80 to 9.8.62

It was a good game by the Kangeroos. They were helped a little by some inaccurate kicking by the Blues, who went into the halftime break trailing by 11 points. It wasnt under the final quarter, in which Carlton kicked 5.2 that they really put the result beyond doubt- so while it was still a loss, theres a lot of reasons to hold your head up as a Kangeroo fan this week. Gibbs top scored off just 20 possessions, that said though, there were 4 goals in that mix. Marc Murphy was hot on his heels though, 28 touches and a 138SC while Chris Yarran knocked up a 136SC off 27 disposals. Top scoring for the Roos was Andrew Swallow, who picked up 33 touches for a 122SC. Rounding out the top5 was Heath Scotland, who joined Yarran on 27 touches, but only made 121SC. Not too many villians in this game, though the biggest was easily Brady Rawlings, who made the list for the third week in a row with a 43SC. Early days, Judd looked like he was going to make the list- and hey, maybe he still will dor lack of others- but he scraped in to an 88SC after a terrible start which was nice.

    Heroes: Gibbs, Murphy, Yarran
Villians: Rawlings, Walker, Judd... heh heh.

Western Bulldogs vs West Coast Eagles.
Result: West Coast by 8, 15.13.103 to 15.5.95

It was the battle of the two west...ern...place...teams, but it was the Eagles who threw the gauntlet out early, getting out to a, well, massive 50 point lead at one stage, only for the Doggies to stage a heroic comeback, taking the lead through the fourth quarter. It was a tying goal to Darling, followed up by the game winning goal by hero Dean Cox which saw the Eagles get home. Speaking of Cox though- 27 disposal, 37 hitouts and the game winning goal, all for a massive 213SC. Wowzers!Just Wowzers. Amazingly, he didnt gobble up all the points, sharing 154SC with Priddis for his 31 disposals and 143 with Rosa who picked up 30 touches. Giansiracusa top scored for the Bulldogs with 4 goals and 22 touches while Bob Murphy had a welcome return to form, picking up 26 touches for a 136SC. With the top end eating so much of the score, there were plenty of villians to write home about, Griffin and his 59SC, Dahlhaus 46SC would have hurt his coaches who would have been counting on him this week, while on the Eagles side, Waters is doing his darnest to get his salary down for next year with a 38SC, as is Tom Swift, who picked up 18 touches for just 25SC.

Heroes: Cox. Cox. Cox and Priddis.
    Villians: Griffen, Shuey, Dahlhaus

    Geelong vs Melbourne
Result: Geelong by about a bazillion, 37.11.233 to 7.5.47

Seriously, a bazillion. It was a complete disaster for the Red and the Blue, facing the second biggest losing margin in history. It was seriously bad, and has also ended with the second coaching scalp for the year with Bailey being thrown to the wolves for the effort. Stevie J led the way for the catters, 34 touches, 7 goals and a massive 199SC set him well above second place, which was shared by Selwood on a massive 43 touches, and Corey who had 35 disposals and 2 goals, both for 155SC. Bartel poked his head up with 29 touches and 2 goals for a 138SC while Enright rounded out the top5 with a 36 touch 115SC. Im not even going to mention the Demons top scorer, instead, Im going to swing straight to the villians. Really, you cant get any worse then Brent Moloney, all skinny and boney. Seriously, the crack about Melbourne playing bruise-free football was fun, but boy, thats been ramped up- possession free footy is the new bruise free footy. Half a game and NOTHING. Not a touch, not a tackle, not even a free against. Needless to say, he was subbed off- but seriously, I reckon their needs to be something in the formula that punishes this kind of game- sure, he had 0 effect on the game, hence the 0- but for the time he was out on the ground, he was essentially forcing his team to play one man down, and that kind of effort should be punished.

    Heroes: SJ, Sellwood, Corey
Villians: Moloney, Bate, Green, Howe, Tapscott, Martin, Sylvia, Maric, Petterd, Strauss, Dunn, Jurrah, Ricers, Nicholson, Watts, Jamar, Gysberts, Jones, Garland, Trengove, Frawler
    McKenzie- you were alright mate.

    St Kilda vs Gold Coast
Result: St. Kilda by 20, 10.14.74 to 6.18.54

Inaccurate kicking certainly came into things as both teams had the same number of scoring shots- however, the biggest difference was Nick Dal Santo, seriously- the boy has been on fire these past few weeks, this time knocking up a 189SC off 39 disposals and a goal. Second place was shared by both Gaz, on 34 touches and Goddard, with 37- both of which scored a very nice 138SC. On reflection of this week though, I cant remember a time that I was disappointed with my captain scoring 138, but when 6 off my players outscored that- cox by 80- it does sting a little! Nathan Bock had a fantastic game, picking up a 130 off 28 touches- I gotta say, hes starting to come into my calculations for next year- but of course, pre-season will have a lot to say about that. Finally, the TipRat Milne rounded out the top5 with a very tidy 115SC off 18 touches and 3 goals. Not too many villians in this game. Monti was below average with an 81SC, while TJ Lynch might have stung a few coaches with his 29SC.

    Heroes: Dal Santo, Goddard, Ablett
    Villians: Gilbert, TJ Lynch, Montagna

    Fremantle vs Hawthorn
    Result: Hawthorn by 51, 13.17.95 to 6.8.44

A big first quarter to the Hawks set up this game, kicking 6.3 to Freos two behinds, and it pretty much stayed like that for the rest of the game. It was a funny old game, but with weather like that- youd expect that- with Fremantle holding 4 of the top 5 SuperCoach players. Broughton continued his awesome form, 28 touches for a 138SC. Youd have to be kicking yourself if you traded him out this year, hes been averaging 110 since round 9 and is well in my sights for 2012. Fyfe is an absolute gun, sitting on 17SC at quarter time, he managed to get up to a 124SC off 27 disposals. Barlow picked up a 120 off just 23 touches and I gotta say, those three Dockers will definitely be on the shortlist for next year. Pavlich, with 29 touches scored a 117SC, tying with Hawthorns top scorer, Sam Mitchell who had the pill 24 times and kicked 2 goals. A couple of villians this game, Hodges late withdrawal, with added rumours just 10 minutes before locked certainly caught out a lot of teams, but Sucklings 70 and Franklins 63SC at the ones that would have hurt most!

    Heroes: Broughton, Fyfe, Barlow
    Villians: Franklin, Duffield, Suckling

    Collingwood vs Essendon
    Result: Collingwood by 74, 25.16.166 to 14.8.92

Wow, did this game blow out to a 74 point margain? It was a fantastic game for three quarters, with the Bombers storming out to a 5 goal lead before Collingwood slowly reeled it back in over the next few quarter. A couple of early game (season) ending injuries however, hurt rotations and set the tone for Collingwood to smash, crush, destroy in the final term, kicking 10 goals to 1. Boy, thats a scary outfit when they get it together. Leading the way was Dane Swan- 45 touches was a phenomenal effort. Hot on his heels though was Scott Pendlebury, who only needed 32 touches to make a 160SC whiel rookie, Fasolo has surely secured a few more games, with 18 touches, 5 goals and a disposal efficiency of 100%! Huge effort for a 123SC. Top scoring for the Bomber was Jobe Watson, racking up 27 touches in his first game back for a 119SC while Brent Stanton rounded out the top5 with 28 touches for 117SC. A couple of villians in the Bombers camp, but really- they dont have too many premiums to scold who didnt perform, well, maybe Hille and his 60.

    Heroes: Swan, Pendlebury, Fasolo
    Villians: Hille, injuries, Lucas

    Adelaide vs Port Adelaide
    Result: Adelaide by 32, 16.15.111 to 11.13.79

Well, it was the SA derby and while I said last week that I though there would be a little extra spice on the game, I dunno- I just didnt feel it. That said, I dont really support either team so Id be interested to get the opinions of you SA guys- entertaining or just another game in a forgetful year? (Or is it always entertaining to get one up on the Power? :p) Anyways, top scoring for the Crows was the Sloane Ranger, Ive been really liking this guys more and more as the year has gone on, so its good to see that its starting to register on the scoreboard with a 128SC. Bernie Vince bounced back from last weeks attrocity to rack up 30 touches and a 125SC while big Tex Walker got 17 touches and 4 goals for a 111SC. Van Berlo did well with a 107SC while Chris Knights did very well in his first game back, 31 touches for a 106SC. Top scoring for the Power was Cameron Hitchcock, 18 touches and 3 goals for a 105SC. With such a lack of bona fide premiums playing this game, there were still a few villians. Scott Thompson and his 70 would have burnt a few coaches after his excellent performance earlier in the year in the derby, and would Lobbes 45SC and Talias 48SC for those coaches forced to dig deep into their reserves.

    Heroes: Sloane, Vince, Walker
    Villians: Thompson, Salopek, Kornes

So that wraps up the games, but also sets the scene for the biggest week in SuperCoach ever. 2900 was a mark that had never been cracked, yet this week, we had 5 players break the 3000 mark. Thats huge, its absolutely crazyness. Yeah, so big it justifies bad grammer!

For the record, the top5 for the week were:
3046 - Duffs, coached by April.
3036 - Wattsys Warriors, coached by Samantha
3034 - Ruffy, coached by Pam
3020 - tiptop, coached by Andrew
3001 - Born to Win, coached by William

Actually, one thing I wanted to point out, it was a big week by the ladies this week! 3 of the top5 and 7 of the top 10 all look to be female. Now, Im the last to want to have a crack at female coaches, since I know a fair number of the successful coaches in these parts have registered as a female but have never divulged said info in public (watch, now that you think of it, you wont be able to stop yourself from wondering. :p), so I know that there are a swag of excellent coaches from the fairer sex, but with the car on the line, I seriously hope that VS do the required due dilligence to ensure that it was a legit entry that takes it out.

But with that out of the way, I gotta celebrate, my 2801- while not only a PB, has broken me into the top100 for the first time this year! Woohoo, look at that shiny 92!~ :D Not only that though, our boy, Impromptu is still leading the comp! Go Son!! Only a few more loooooong weeks to go! :D We still have a couple of other TS boys around the mark, YaMum in 3rd, DW in 16, El Pres in 18- a massive fall from 2nd mate, but you can recover, Riewldts XXII in 22nd and Grantus in 27. (and let me know if I missed you! :D) Interesting to see Lings Bandits still heading upwards, moving up to 20th overall- a super effort guy!

Anyways, after such a huge week- one that showed my pre-weekend call of "meh" up completely, Im interested to hear how you went- crack a new PB? Move up in the rankings?
