The ANZAC battler, strong and true,
    His tireless spirit shining through
In hardship and strife, he stood tall and fought
With a steely resolve that can’t be bought.
In the face of adversity, a spirit revealing
    Unbreakable, unshakeable, his will unyielding
So let us pay tribute to the ANZAC battler
His unbreakable courage, his larrikin swagger.
    It’s more than just bravery
    It’s more than plain heroism
It's about a sense of caring
And it’s a story of optimism.
It's the willingness to serve, to help, to defend,
And unwavering mateship, until the very end.

Larrikin Lagoon Lefties (1014) def Whitsunday Warriors (1007)
It was fitting that In the week that we pay tribute to our greatest battlers the Larrikin Lagoon Lefties defied their ladder position to prevail over the highly fancied Whitsunday Warriors in a grinding match. The win lifted the Lefties out of the bottom four and dragged the Warriors out of the top four.

Marble Bar Misfits (1380) def Wagga Wagga Wombats (1281)
The Wagga Wagga Wombats dug in and fought hard but unfortunately fell to a surging Marble Bar Misfits outfit.TheMisfits win was their second on the trot for the first time this year and deprived the Wombats a place on the ORFFA podium.

Mount Beauty Uglies (1330) def Venus Bay Vultures (1112)
All their strength and might was ultimately not enough to get the Venus Bay Vultures across the line against a Mount Beauty Uglies mob who broke a run of four consecutive losses with a powerful win at the weekend. The Vultures have now lost two on the trot and are hoping to stop the rot next week.

Iron Knob Codpieces (1208) def Wineglass Bay Packers(1017)
Lot’s of bravery and determination on show as the Iron Knob Codpieces broke the egg and registered their maiden win for the 2023 season with a stirring victory over the Wineglass Bay Packers. The Packers who were hoping to notch just their second win for the season are now only percentage in front of a languishing group at the bottom of the table.

Charlie’s Opening Spelunkers (1219) def Nareewillock Nuffers (1076)
You know who’s standing tall? Charlie’s Opening Spelunkers that’s who, after they saw off a sturdy challenge from Nareewillock Nuffers in a top of the table clash. The Spelunkers now have five wins on the trot and are primed for an assault at the top four, while the Nuffers will be looking to reclaim their winning ways next week.

    Gundagai Grasshoppers(1394) def Birdsville Battlers(1153)
I’ll tell you what is growing old...Gundagai Grasshoppers surging to another win, this time at the expense of the Birdsville Battlers. Well done @snoz now keep your head down below the parchments because in the true spirit of mateship we’re all gunning for the Grasshoppers!

Foul Bay Chickens (1359) def Dunsborough DungBeetles (952)
Age may not weary them, nor the years condemn but I’ll tell you what should be condemned...the match committee at Dunsborough Dung Beetles after they flopped to a sixth consecutive defeat by the Foul Bay Chickens. Congratulations @ChiefRussell on a plucking good win! Can I have my feathers back now?

WaikikamoocowIncorribles (1299) def Lovely Banks Lilacs (1039)
The Waikikamoocow Incorrigibles were udderly unstoppable against the Lovely Banks Lilacs and notched up their third consecutive win on the trot. The Lovely Banks Lilacs unfortunately fell to their fourth straight loss. @graeme was milking the win for all it’s worth, suggesting that opponents will need to beef up their game if they’re going to even get close.
