Man City have hit top spot again after all their big guns fired- Tevez, Aguero and Silva. While Utd disappointed slipping to defeat against an impressive Norwich. Join me over the break where Ill cover all the games..<!--more-->

    Arsenal v Spurs 5-2

Incredibly this was the score when the two teams met last season at The Emirates. This time there were seven different scorers – Adebayor, Bale, Walcott, Cazorla, Giroud, Podolski and Mertesacker. Spurs were looking decent until Adebayor got himself sent off early on.

Both teams made some changes with Lloris coming back in for Spurs and Dempsey dropping to the bench as Ade and Defoe started up front. Caulker was missing from the squad.

Arsenal also had a change in goals with Szczesny, finally, fit to take his place. Ramsey was on the bench with Walcott starting and causing havoc down the right side. He got his wish with a 5min cameo at CF when he scored his goal. Cazorla was excellent.

    Norwich v Man Utd 1-0

Utd surrendered top spot after a poor performance. DDG was missing with complications after a dentists’ appointment while Rooney was out with tonsillitis. Hernandez as expected started the game. Smalling continued with Evans still out.

Snodgrass came back in while Whittaker looked good coming forward. Pilkington scored with Garrido assisting. That’s now four clean sheets in five games for Norwich, that’s two more than Utd have managed all season.

    Man City v Villa 5-0

City scored just before HT to open the floodgates. Tevez and Aguero both scored a brace as intriguingly they scored a penalty apiece. Silva scored his first for the season as he has finally found form and fitness.

Nastasic was again afforded a starting place in defence, as was Maicon. This left Zabaleta, Lescott and Kolarov on the bench. Dzeko was again a bench warmer as City’s first choice pairing (and most dangerous pairing) of Tevez and Aguero started.

As I predicted a couple of weeks ago, Villa have dropped into the relegation zone and it doesn’t get much easier with Arsenal up next. They actually did ok for almost half the game but it remains to be seen how much damage this thumping will have caused. Weimann started while El Ahmadi appears to have lost his place and Holman and Albrighton were again on the bench.

    Newcastle v Swansea 1-2

Shechter came in for his first start of the season while Graham was restored to the bench. Michu was moved back to his most effective No 10 position and got back on the scoresheet after a lean spell, while De Guzman also scored. Routledge came on after 62mins for Dyer while Chico spent the game on the bench. Tremmel continues in goal with Vorn out for a few more weeks yet.

Newcastle are in poor form and Ben Arfa continues to disappoint with his lack of scoring returns. Tiote was back after suspension but Cisse missed out as Senegal evoked the five day rule. Ba was back on the scoresheet after a quiet couple of games. Away to Southampton next week.

    Liverpool v Wigan 3-0

Suarez was again the star of the show, and he’s now moved clear at the top of the EPL scoring charts. Jose Enrique playing in midfield also got on the scoresheet as well as grabbing an assist. Raheen Sterling chipped in with a couple of assists. Wisdom again started while Siso only lasted 36mins before being replaced by Henderson.

Wigan had a decent first half but were overwhelmed in the second. Miyaichi came off the bench on 69mins. Ben Watson came off after 32mins with a broken leg.

    WBA v Chelsea 2-1

Chelsea mixed things up after the midweek internationals with Mata, Oscar and Ramires all starting on the bench. Ivanovic was surprisingly dropped as Azpilicueta again played at RB. Romeu, Bertrand, Moses and Sturridge all started. Hazard scored with Azpilicueta assisting. No wins in four for Chelsea.

West Brom have won six of their seven league games at home this season. Despite managing a groin problem for weeks, Shane Long continues to deliver this time – 1 goal and 1 assist. The assist was for Odenwhingie’s goal. Dorrans and Brunt came on at 70mins for Morrison and Gera. WBA sit in 4th place 3pts ahead of Everton and 1pt behind Chelsea.

    Reading v Everton 2-1

Reading won their first game of the season to climb out of the relegation zone. Le Fondre the hero with both goals. Nicky Shorey with an assist. Robson-Kanu and Roberts both started while Pogrebryak spent the game on the bench. Wigan away next week.

Everton walked away with 0 pts after dominating the first half. Naismith getting a run with Mirallas out injured opened the scoring with Fellaini assisting. Thankfully for me Fellaini picked up his 5th booking of the season and is suspended for next week’s match against Norwich before their fixtures toughen. Everton down to 5th place.

    QPR v Southampton 1-3

Its hard to imagine Hughes keeping his job after this result. Rock bottom with no wins after 12games. Ferdinand scored an og after Lambert(1st goal in 7) and Puncheon had put Soton two up. Hoillett scored QPRs consolation.

Ramirez played 61mins while Rodriguez came on for a cameo in injury time. Soton now have two home games v Newcastle and Norwich respectively.

    Fulham v Sunderland 1-3

Odd result this one considering Fulhams strong home form and Sunderlands record of one win in 18.

Johnson assisted all 3 with Fletcher, Cuellar and Sess all converting. McLean was benched until 70mins when he came on for Larsson. While Bardsley was fit enough to play the full game. Sunderland have  a decent run of fixtures that includes a DGW.

Fulham had Hangeland sent off while Kacaniklic and Ruiz came off injured. Ruizs replacement Petric(remember him?) scored from a Duff assist.

I will cover the West Ham v Stoke game after its played tomorrow.

As for my team its not looking good with 38pts. Captaining RVP and not having Tevez or Suarez has cost me this week, Im now relying on the West Ham boys of Jussi, Demel and Nolan to do some damage for me. How did everyone go this week?
