Chelsea v Arsenal

RVP has now scored 28 goals in 27 games for Arsenal this year after his hat-trick at the bridge. Walcott scored a contender for goal of the season and Santos also got on the scoresheet. Lampard, Terry and Mata scored Chelseas goals. It was a game dominated by defensive mistakes. Chelsea now havent had a clean sheet since the first game of the season.

Mertesacker was at fault for Chelseas first two goals but there were far more positives than negatives for Arsenal. Eighth win in nine. RVP top scorer in EPL now with 10 goals. Outstanding game from Ramsey. Walcott excellent in patches. Vermaelen came on for the last five minutes after injury. Arsenals next give games read like this - WBA, Norwich (a), Fulham, Wigan (a), Everton. RVP, Gervinho, Walcott and possibly Ramsey & Arteta are all capable of scoring big over the next few weeks.<!--more-->

    Everton v Man United

Massive news for United as Vidic was back for this one and he played a huge part in United gaining a much-needed clean-sheet after losing six goals last week. Rio was dropped while Smalling and Young were injured, with Young possibly back next week. Hernandez scored the vital goal from Evras cross. Cahill and Drenthe were both missing for Everton. Cleverley started and showed some nice touches before being substituted. Sunderland at Old Trafford next week kicks off a juicy run of games for United that should help get last weeks result out of their system(Newcastle @ OT is the hardest). Rooney has now gone five league games without scoring.

    Man City v Wolves

City remain unbeaten with nine wins from ten. Nasri, Silva and Dzeko all started this one with Clichy dropping out for Kolarov. Hennessey was inspired for Wolves early on before making a critical error in the second half when he was too slow in clearing the ball. Aguero closed him down and the ball ricocheted to Dzeko to give him a simple tap-in. The result was never in doubt from here on in with Kolarov and substitute Johnson adding to the tally. Worst news of the day was Kompanys red card and subsequent 1 match suspension for a professional foul in the box. Hunt scored the penalty 3-1 City.

    WBA v Pool

Liverpool have now won 12 out of 13 against WBA and the result never looked in doubt in a dominant performance from the Reds. Gerrard and Carragher were out injured which meant a recall for Agger & Henderson. Carroll started & scored in this one while Kuyt spent the entire game warming the bench. For the 2nd week in a row(villa game last wk)the linesman felt the need to get to more involved in the game, alerting the ref that Suarez was fouled in the box. It looked a soft decision. With Gerrard out it was finally time for Adam to take up penalty duties & he made no mistake. Suarez assisted Carrolls goal. Enrique impressed again.

    Spurs v QPR

VDV equaled a club record by scoring in his fifth consecutive league game. After a solid game last week from Bale, hes continuing to impress with two goals this week and is worth a look with a favourable run of games coming up. Clean sheets are still hard to come by for Spurs and Bothroyd came off the bench to score for QPR. Spurs 3-1

    Sunderland v Villa

Petrov and Sessegnon were both heavily involved in this one. Both of them grabbing a goal and an assist each. Hutton chipped in with an assist and Wickham scored for Sunderland.

    Stoke v Newcastle

Newcastle remain unbeaten after an impressive win at Stoke. Thats Stokes first loss at the Britannia this season. Demba Ba was the feel-good story of the weekend and possibly for the season so far. Ba failed his medical at the start of the season @ Stoke before Newcastle took a chance on him. A second hat-trick for him this season and he now sits on eight goals. Newcastle are now third, three points clear of Chelsea and play Everton next week. Bad news for Stoke with Shawcross coming off injured.

    Wigan v Fulham

Loss number seven on the trot for Wigan. It was a familiar story for Wigan - a decent display that didnt translate into points. Moses and Figueroa both hit the post and they desperately need Rodallega to start firing. With some more crunch games coming up they need to start finding the back of the net. Fulham scored against the run of play just before half-time with Dempsey, Zamora assisting. Dembele made sure of the points just before full-time. A good clean sheet for Riise, Hangeland and co.

    Norwich v Blackburn

A 3-3 thriller here with two late Norwich goals salvaging a point. Blackburn played well but currently are carrying the luck befitting of a team at the bottom of the table. If it wasnt for bad luck theyd have no luck at all. Hoilett, Yakubu and Samba scored for Rovers. With Morison, Johnson and Holt scoring for Norwich. Blackburn were 3-1 up with seven minutes to go before a horrible deflection from Johnsons shot took the ball over Robinson. A debatable penalty call was the dagger through the heart for Blackburn with the substitute Holt scoring it four minutes into injury time. Chelsea up next for Blackburn.

    Swansea v Bolton

An impressive performance from Swansea that has moved them up to tenth. Gardner saw red for Bolton before Allen scored his second in two games for Swansea. Sinclair scored his third penalty of the season. Danny Graham then scored at both ends and he now has four goals in four games-well 5 if you include the og! Bolton have now lost eight of their last nine. Stoke at home next for Bolton.
