With International week over its time again to get back to the bread and butter. Heres the second part of the transfers in. Join me over the break...<!--more-->

    QPR

    In
    Samba Diakite (Nancy) Loan
Fabio da Silva (Manchester United) Loan
Robert Green (West Ham United) Free
    Junior Hoilett (Unattached) Free
    Andrew Johnson (Fulham) Free
    Ryan Nelsen (Tottenham Hotspur) Free
    Park Ji-Sung (Manchester United) Undisclosed
    Jose Bosingwa (Chelsea) Free
    Julio Cesar (Inter Milan) Undisclosed
    Esteban Granero (Real Madrid) Undisclosed

It’s hard to get a grip on QPR’s signings as Hughes has overhauled the squad. Rob Green, for instance, caught the attention of a few but will now play second fiddle to the since signed Brazilian goalie Julio Cesar from Inter Milan.

There might be reasonable returns from the likes of Bosingwa, Granero, Park, Ji-Sung and Hoilett but nothing prolific. So far QPR have featured 21 players in their 3 games.

    Reading

    In
    Chris Gunter (Nottingham Forest) Undisclosed
    Danny Guthrie (Newcastle) Free
    Adrian Mariappa (Watford) Undisclosed
    Garath McCleary (Nottingham Forest) Free
    Pavel Pogrebnyak (Stuttgart) Free
Nicky Shorey (West Bromwich Albion) Free
    Stuart Taylor (Manchester City) Free

Pogrebnyak and Guthrie due to their bargain-base price are the standouts here. Pogrebnyak scored six goals in 12 games for Fulham last year. Guthrie meanwhile is now Reading’s most advanced midfielder in McDermott’s new formation.

Harte, as long as his creaking limbs stand up to another PL season, should get some goals/assists on the board. McLeary and McAnuff should be monitored.

    Southampton

    In
    Nathaniel Clyne (Crystal Palace) Undisclosed
    Steven Davis (Rangers) Free
    Paulo Gazzaniga (Gillingham) Undisclosed
    Jay Rodriguez (Burnley) Undisclosed
Emmanuel Mayuka (BSC Young Boys) Undisclosed
    Gaston Ramirez (Bologna) Undisclosed
    Cody Cropper (Unattached) Free

Clyne has won a few individual awards in his short career so far. He likes to get forward although it hasn’t quite translated to goals/assists as yet. He’s bargain-priced but Southampton leaking eight goals in three games might put some off. Although it has to be noted that they have already played Man Utd and Man City.

Ricky Lambert (6mil) scored against those two. He’s been a prolific scorer for over a decade throughout the divisions scoring 206 goals in 542 games and 90 in 157 games for the Saints. He looks determined to carry on plundering goals in the top division. A strong lad he’s well capable of finishing set pieces.

Lallana has looked quality but it’s debatable whether he’s worth the 6mil outlay. Rodriguez (5.4mil), top scorer for previous club Burnley in each of the last two years, has grabbed the attention aswell. But he was the starting sub last time out so at the moment his JS is debatable.

Recently signed Ramirez (6mil) has still to make his debut. A winger he is a full internationalist for Uruguay. He averages around one goal every four games. Saints allegedly beat Inter, Liverpool and Spurs to his signature.

Puncheon (4.4mil) and Guilherme (Do Prado) 5.5mil might be worth monitoring through the season.

    Stoke City

    In
    Charlie Adam (Liverpool) Undisclosed
    Geoff Cameron (Houston Dynamo) Undisclosed
    Maurice Edu (Rangers) Undisclosed
    Michael Kightly (Wolverhampton Wanderers) Undisclosed
    Jamie Ness (Rangers) Free
    Steven NZonzi (Blackburn Rovers) Undisclosed
    Michael Owen (Unattached) Free

Knightly (5.5mil) and Adam (6.8mil) look to be the pick of Stokes new signings. With their deliveries, and Peter Crouch to aim for, there should be assists aplenty. Michael Owen has just signed as well but hes surely past it, right?

    Swansea

    In
Jose Manuel "Chico" Flores (Genoa) £2m
    Pablo Hernandez (Valencia) £5.55m
Jonathan De Guzman (Villarreal) Loan <a href="http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/news/news/swansea-sign-spanish-defender-flores.html">
    [/url]Michu (Rayo Vallecano) £2m
    Itay Shechter (Kaiserslautern) Loan
    Ki-Sung yeung (Celtic) Undisclosed
    Dwight Tiendalli (Unattached) Free
    Jamie Proctor (Preston) Undisclosed
    Kyle Bartley (Arsenal) Undisclosed

If you haven’t already, then lock Michu in – that is all.

De Guzman and Ki-Sung Yeung have also come into the midfield although it’s the signing of Valencia winger Hernandez that excites.

The relative safe haven of the Swans backline sees Chico (5mil) (currently suspended) arrive as does Tiendalli to cover the unfortunate Taylor who is out for the season.

    Spurs

    In
    Emmanuel Adebayor (Man City) Undisclosed
    Mousa Dembele (Fulham) Undisclosed
    Clint Dempsey (Fulham) Undisclosed
    Hugo Lloris (Lyon) Undisclosed
    Gylfi Sigurdsson (Hoffenheim) Undisclosed
    Jan Vertonghen (Ajax) Undisclosed

AVB has brought in some real quality. GK Lloris (6mil) has been told that he might need to bide his time though, as Friedel is still the man with the gloves. Vertonghen (6.5mil) lining up next to Gallas is a real goal threat, indeed he scored a peach of a freekick for Belgium midweek.

Adebayor (9.6mil) is a familiar face and there will be plenty prepared to put up with his hot and cold patches.

Dembele, Dempsey and Sigurdsson all pose a goal threat but where do they all fit in to a team that also has Bale, Lennon and Defoe?

It’s unclear how Spurs will perform with AVB at the helm and the locals are already getting nervous. Reading (a) and QPR up next offers an opportunity to get a first win under their belt.

    Sunderland

    In
    Carlos Cuellar (Aston Villa) Free
    Steven Fletcher (Wolverhampton Wanderers) Undisclosed
    Adam Johnson (Manchester City) Undisclosed
    Danny Rose (Tottenham Hotspur) Loan
    Louis Saha (Tottenham Hotspur) Free

MON is really putting his mark on the team now. Johnson (7mil) and Fletcher (7mil) are exactly the sort of players he loves. Johnson is very much a one-footed player but his left is so good it almost doesn’t matter. He’s moved back to his native NE as a league winner and he now plays for probably the best man-manager in the league. He has an excellent target-man to aim for and he’s also well capable of coming in on his left-foot and scoring from distance. His price is awkward but he will surely tempt a few.

Steven Fletcher is a quality target-man and scored 12 last year for a struggling Wolves outfit. He has McLean, Johnson from the flanks and Sess in behind feeding him.

Cuellar (4.5mil) should be a decent option as the season goes on as long as Sunderland’s injury worries calm down. Saha will be no more than a bit part player.

    West Ham

    In
    James Collins (Aston Villa) Undisclosed
    Mohamed Diame (Wigan Athletic) Free
    Alou Diarra (Marseille) Undisclosed
    Stephen Henderson (Portsmouth) Undisclosed
    Jussi Jaaskelainen (Bolton Wanderers) Free
    George McCartney (Sunderland) Free
    Modibo Maiga (FC Sochaux-Montbeliard) Undisclosed
Raphael Spiegel (Grasshopper Club Zurich) Undisclosed
Matt Jarvis (Wolverhampton Wanderers) Full story
    Andy Carroll (Liverpool) Loan

Collins and Jaaskelaiken have both joined a West Ham defence that should get their fair share of clean sheets, at home at least. Diame has joined the midfield from Wigan, an excellent player whose one downfall appears to be what we’re all after – shooting. Luckily West Ham have a couple of midfield gems in Noble and Nolan, very reasonably priced as well.

Matt Jarvis is a new signing who is an excellent crosser of the ball and will enjoy having Andy Carroll to aim for.

Nolan told his manager he wanted to play in “the hole” when Andy signed and these two will be a good source of goals for the Hammers. Unfortunately, we’ll need to wait to see Carroll and Jarvis again due to injury. Should put in some strong home performances.

    West Brom

    In
Yassine El Ghanassy (AA Gent) Loan
    Ben Foster (Birmingham City) Undisclosed
    Romelu Lukaku (Chelsea) Loan
    Markus Rosenberg (Werder Bremen) Free
Claudio Yacob (Racing Club de Avellaneda) Free
    Goran Popov (Dynamo Kiev) Loan

West Brom have got off to a flyer and have seen a few jump on the bandwagon. Popov has yet to make his debut but will be fighting Ridgewell for a place in the team.

Lukaku (6.5mil) and Rosenberg (6.3mil) have added to WBA’s attacking options but there is a real chance of rotation with Long, Odenwingie and Fortune all fighting for game-time. Yacob (5.0mil) is a holding midfielder. El-Ghanassy (4.7mil), a handy winger, is still to make his debut.

Foster (5mil) has interested a few for the goalkeeping spot.

    Wigan

    In
    Fraser Fyvie (Aberdeen) Undisclosed
    Arouna Kone (Levante) Undisclosed
    Ryo Miyaichi (Arsenal) Loan
    Ivan Ramis (Real Mallorca) Undisclosed

Wigan have been fairly quiet on the transfer front this pre-season. The pick of the bunch is probably Kone (6.5mil) who is reasonably priced. He scored 15 goals in La Liga last year and has 34 caps for Ivory Coast. Ramis has joined the Wigan defense and Miyaichi might struggle for game time.
