I picked Ryder at the start of the year because he was 10k cheaper

Both have had great starts, however Cox really looks to be back to his All Australian form and with an average of 140 is set to keep going up in price.

I think Ryder should maintain a 100-105 average for the rest of the year.
So i guess the upside of Cox will be maybe 120+?

Ryder -> Cox is not worth a trade

He is only going to get better and better as the year goes on..

Watch him have a big game against the blues this week.

    Do not do this trade.

If you do it could be a nomination in that other thread.

the 'other thread' Nick is referring to is the one about WORST TRADES EVER... but not much will beat the Selwood > Hayes trade.

Ryder is an awesome ruck, who the hell is your other ruck if you're contemplating getting rid of Ryder?

If your mind is set on the trade, at minimum, take a look at the ticker now. In rounds 5-6-7, Cox has a bye and two games against cold ruck ticks, while Ryder over round 5-7-8 has three warm->hot ticks to enjoy.

Last week I was choosing out of these 2 to bring into my side. Went with ryder, as I reckon it may be too late to get onto cox as you will never get those early round points that cox owners already have. And most of the top teams would have cox.
If cox continues on with his current form, then this plan goes to shit. But i'm hoping he dives, and ryder goes better.

That one was just unlucky in the end, this one if it went ahead would be close to the winner in my book..... but its a long season... haha

He struggled today in the forward line, once Hille is back in the side, he'll play more in the ruck and get more points.

    Come on Julz.
I'd rather a fair opinion in foresight than bagging in hindsight.
    TS is better than that.

My question wasn't about ryder doing poorly, and i never anticipated a 34 point game for him. He's definitely a budding star.

I had a good feeling about Cox's added reliability, especially after a flying start to the season. Most of the teams I play against have Cox/Sandi so if there is a big discrepency btw Cox and Ryder, I could run at a decent deficit if Ryder has a quiet game like he did this week. YSCC's recommendation was also for Cox/Sandi in the rucks.

Re: Ryder's score, I don't care this week because it is a bye & I'm going purely for league wins. Although currently sitting ranked 4000 is nice, I'm out to make the best team for the finals and was a little concerned that Cox's 140 average would cause his price to skyrocket and become too hard to upgrade to if Ryder dropped off. But I've held on and time will tell.

So at the time, I didn't think it was the worst trade ever given my points above.

    Thanks for all the feedback.
