So is there any support for the rumours? I've heard:
1. definitely won't be playing this week
2. still can't see out of the eye
3. could be out for four weeks
4. hasn't returned to Perth
...?

not sure but whatever the rumours and even if he is still named in the side tomorrow. I'd still be having an emergency listed in the ruck.

Unverified second hand talk around the office. Not like club medical staff or fans at training. Did he train this week? I guess if the four weeks part is true, then there is an opportunity to trade him for Ryder, get a wad of cash and avoid donuts.

Yup, one of the few weeks where having one of your three emergency spots filled by the rucks is looking like a wise move.

Now to decide which of the 'main' 3 lines goes without one...

Haha I like it, Sean!

Smith is scoring nicely, hard to suggest going against him. Yet at the same time, I'd usually preach 'experience over speculation'.

Would tend to think if Smith can score like that against the Doggies and Carlton when his own team was walloped, then there is no reason to suggest he wouldn't score just as well against the Demons.

Aside from Craplar Bradley & maybe Johnson, if there was a chance Sandi was going to be a late withdrawl, wouldnt Freo have put a back up on the extended bench/emergency list ?

Even though Bradley & Johnson filled in well for Sandi after he went off last week, they were only up against Maric, McKernan & Tiprat, nothing to trouble them!!!
So I am a little bemused with these rumours considering Freo haven't named either Griffin or Clarke on the EIC this week - especially considering they were both mentioned as replacements if Sandi isn't available!!!
Would be great to get some confirmation from any Freo supporters if he's been seen at training this week......

Yep....my thinking exactly Bear. If we'd seen Griffin/Clarke brought in, I would have big doubts on Sandi fronting up. If there was even a 25% chance he'd not play one of these guys would be on the extended bench, thats what its for...I highly doubt they would knowingly go into a game knowing Sandi could pull out and have Keplar/MJ take the #1 Ruck role.

The latest I heard was Thurs after training Sandi was signing autos with a black eye yes, but looking thru both eyes LOL.

Would hate to waste an Emer. tag on Zach Smith when other lines could sure use it.

Tidy analysis kids, you've convinced me not to trade him for Ryder now. Smith gets an E and it's back to the Beach for another round with Sandi and Cox.

Yep, in the same boat with mids & not concerned either (used my F/M & D/M MPP's to cover this) so have the E on Smith.
