In 4/5 semi-finals this week and needing to trade out Bartel and Zac Smith to stay alive. Cannot decide who to get between

    a) Moloney and Sandilands
    b) S. Thompson and Jamar

Any thoughts are appreciated, especially on whether Sandilands is worth the punt.

I'd be looking at Gaff as your cheap MID option which would allow Mummy/McEvoy in your RUC.
West Coast have the softest run home of anyone and the kid's all class. Averages 101 last 3 rounds.
Hard to know without seeing your team.

Not a bad thought on the WCE group.

I guess the best thing is doing an analysis of the three games of what you think all will score, weighted by past history or the new coaches, form etc.

It could end up something like:
    Moloney x y z
    Sandilands a b c
    Thompson d e f
    Jamar g h i
    Gaff j k l
    McEvoy m n o
    Mumford p q r

Then you see which combination scores the most and then go with it.

In the absence of any other data, it's probably the best way to go about it.

Mind you if you can get Sandilands surely you could probably get Mumford or Big Mac anyway unless you are that tight on cash.

On Gaff, not sure he will do better than Moloney on the trip home.

Boyd...a butcher. But gets a lot of it.
Will probably go 130 or so this week - not many to pinch points from him. He's also in great form (just not scoring too much because his side isn't winning).

In R23 maybe 80-90 v Hawks, then I see him back to a 120-130 ball burster against Freo in the last round.

So in R23 it might be even an interesting strategic move to bench him. If you didn't have Judd/Murphy and you had a premium M7 it is probably worthwhile.
