With my midfield i have a slight problem. I have Swan, Pendle, Sloane, Cotchin, Young Swallow and Polec. I am thinking i will have to swap out one of swan or pendles to help get some more class in there? On another note will Porplyzia be any good this year? One last problem Gamble and Otten the crows one are they good enough to be in my first team?
Think the light at the end of the tunnel might be a train ?. Swan & Plenty aren't your problem you must have money wasted else where.
@11kgm I'd look at getting rid of Young/Cotchin and bringing Harris onto the field or into you team. There are plenty of good midfield rookie options. It's fine to have only two premiums in your mids as long as you have made up for it in other lines. Alternatively, get rid of Young and upgrade Cotchin. Porplyzia - no. Ottern - definitely Gamble - a big gamble (I'd be looking at Knights, Petrie and Krakwhore first, maybe even Yarran).
Definitely think Knights is a better option than Porps or Gamble - and Otten and the Krak whore should both be locks imo My problem is trying to fill my last Def pos with only $219,900 left - am pretty happy with the rest of my team, just this one last spot to fill. Advice and suggestions welcome
Okay i have Knights, Petrie and Krakwhore in my forward line. I have dan harris but on my bench as he is missing first game due to the bye. Porplyzia is gone got 397k to spend on a new forward-Thinking of higgins, jetta, dawes, hurley, zaha. I got Talia on the bench aswell @beerfly Have you heppel, ottens and hibberard

@Bearfly Always enjoy spending someone else's money. My smokie at that price range is Pettigrew, tho Steve doesn't agree (or anyone else for that matter - but I actually listen to the commentary). May not be a huge improver, but will double your money. Alternative is Tarrant at the Roos.
To mine if your M3 is Sloane and you need more class in the midfield you shouldn't be worried about your M1 and M2. Pendlebury and Swan are very solid picks indeed. That said if you want to diversify any of Selwood, Judd, Murphy would probably do the job. Sloane to me looks one player really difficult to predict this year. Could go better with more opportunity or worse with more responsibility. Tough call...

Unless Primus looks at Pettigrew as another forward option (he mainly plays there in SANFL). Tarrant was another i've been throwing in and out of the side. At least still have just over a week to get it right!!! And FWIW, I honestly think D Stewart will be the big improver for Port - along with Broadbent, P Stewart and Trengove But then again, you may even be right with Pettigrew!!!!
@BF, As I said, just can't get any enthusiasm for Petts. Prior to his LTI last year he was a regular member of the backline and in the early days was even ahead of Chaplin. While he hasn't shone, he hasn't put a foot wrong in the NAB. Have compared him at depth with Tarrant and Cheney and just think his past history and experience will get him the nod, with Surj the most likely one to tip him out. Agree on D. Stewart, just a bit worried about where they will play him and how much TOG.

After watching Port's games the past few weeks, it looks like DS will rotate between Fwd and main back-up to Broges - has looked pretty good when in ruck, taking some nice contested marks down back against Tigers and Cats - only played a half against GCS, but definitely in the best 22 imo.
11 - Need less numbers and higher quality in the mids. Go for 3 or 4 of the top 6 or 7 players for example Swan, Judd and Selwood and Boyd, and then take a risk on some lower value players or rookies. Look for diversity like Lucas said. Swan and Pendles are great players, but share the bye. Suspect you may need to cut the $$$ elsewhere to do this of course.
