<div> Staghorn Flat[span class='apple-converted-space' style='color: black;]is a rural locality in the Yackandandah Valley of north east[span style='color: #0b0080;]Victoria, situated between[span style='color: #0b0080;]Wodonga[span class='apple-converted-space' style='color: black;]and[span style='color: #0b0080;]Yackandandah. It is shared between the[span style='color: #0b0080;]Shire of Indigo[span class='apple-converted-space' style='color: black;]and the[span style='color: #0b0080;]City of Wodonga. At the 2006[span style='color: #0b0080;]census, Staghorn Flat had a population of 152. Gold was found in 1861 and in its day Staghorn Flat was home to many more than the 152 inhabitants it currently has. The Bulls will hold their home games at Mill Park, pictured below clearly there is some remedial work required in setting up the oval and its facilities. Rory Lobb is a developing, athletic ruckman from Western Australia who was drafted by the GIANTS at pick 29 in the 2013 NAB AFL Draft. Standing at 206cm tall, Lobb is the tallest player on the GIANTS list and is a good contested mark. From a basketball background, Lobb shows deft touch with his ruck work and has developed the ability to push forward and present an imposing target. A crisis meeting was held last night at Mill Park after yet another disappointing loss on the road. The ledger sits at 1 win 5 losses on the road and 6 and zip at home. Winnable games away to Eden & Southern Cross in the last 3 weeks have put making the 8 in serious doubt. With games against 4 of the top 5 as it stands the Bulls are going to earn a finals spot should they make it. Some home truths were told to some high draft picks in Birchall, McEvoy, Roughead, Bastinac and Stanton who have all struggled in their first season with the Bulls. If they applied themselves in the same manner Rockliff & Boyd have done in 2014 then its probable that a finals berth would almost be stitched up. It will be interesting to see how they respond this week in fact is it too much to ask for McEvoy to make his long awaited return this week. The high scoring Parasites make the trek to Mill Park this week with the Bulls desperate to maintain a perfect home record.

 

The Bulls have secured a berth in the inaugural ORFFU Grand Final with a stunning 200 point win against the Premiership favorite King Island. The Bulls were again led by Tom Rockliff who scored a masterful 170 points and in hindsight was a steal at pick 6. The Bulls also scored their highest score of the year with 1441 and if we'd had a recognised ruckman 1500 wasn't out of the question. Congrats to Ararat who will be the Staghorn Flat's opponent in the grand final. In round 19 the Bulls traveled to Ararat and in a classic the home team prevailed 1333 to 1328. Staghorn Flat Bulls - Season in review: After sneaking in to the finals the Bulls made their way to the inaugural ORFFU Grand Final where they fell by 78 points. The Bulls stormed out of the blocks to a 5 - 2 record before the bye. The byes saw the Bulls flirt with form and they had to win 3 out of their last 4 to make the finals. Mill Park was a fortress for the Bulls with a 8 - 1 record, however clearly Bulls can't fly with a disappointing 2 - 6 record on the road. Captain Rockliff blitzed the BnF from big Roughy. The offseason will be brutal and tough decisions will be made.The Bulls will belooking at acquiring some midfield talent over the break. The Bulls are delighted to announce that Stephen Coniglio will be joining them in season 2015. The Bulls have been trying very hard behind the scenes to bolstera midfield that too often leaked points to its opposition. The club although disappointed to lose a talented forward in Dahlhaus believe it has the depth to cover his loss. With Boyd likely in his last season and question marks over the immediate future of Stanton recruiting a midfielder for the future was the aim of the post season negotiations. We believe that Stephen will be an integral part of our midfield for the next 10 years and will be a great addition to the squad.

 

Breaking News: The Bulls would like to announce that disgruntled defender Grant Birchall has decided to play on with the club in 2015. Grant had earlier informed the club of his wish to pursue offers away from Mill Park, however no suitable deal was able to be struck. The Bulls hierarchy have beensomewhatupset at multiple pooroffers from rival clubs, these offerswhichthe Bulls havelikened toa set ofsteak knives haveupset many of the residentBulls. Grant has made the following comments, 'it was never my intention to leave however the club and I needed to work through some personalissues' whichstemmed following some out of hand post season celebrations with one of the local heifers. With the recruiting of Coniglio & Apeness the Bulls are well set to tackle the preseason with the chop hanging over at least one Bull prior to list submissions in the new year.
