Hey guys I do the SuperCoach SuperSubs article, and it's been heavily suggested that we do a table, so we can see what the AFL coaches do to use their vests. This would benifit as we would know the chances of one of your players being given the dreaded green/red vest. But the problem is, I don't know what you want to have in the table. I hope I have explained this well :( haha. So drop your suggestions below on what information to have in the table, any suggestion is a good one.

    Just a few thoughts.
    - Starting Sub + SC Position
    - Substituted Player + SC Position
    - Time of sub (preferably what quarter & time of that quarter)
    - Reason for substitution (injury, team balance, etc)
    - Impact of sub (high, medium, low)

Maybe even minutes played/SC scores for both green & red vest players

Not sure how to objectively measure impact of sub

I like the points per minutes played concept for sub effectiveness.

All I'd want would be where the green vest sub was named in the initial teams on Thursday night

Completely agree with Bearfly including points per minute

the impact of sub should be in two categories
impact on SC score = % of points missed on their average up until that game.
impact on the match = as bearfly said would b difficult to measure objectively.

also cummulative totals for the season of red and green vest points scored by team. this would give a good indication on the role each coach uses the sub (high score = likely attacking role/midfield etc.)
and also some record of whether sub was due to being a late inclusion

    maybe abit too much..

They do this thing at CD called Player Rankings. I think it's a pretty good measure of impact. :p

Wow.. this is alot, few questions though
So I would just be doing each week its own table, not the same table adding on each rounds stats, maybe for like the culmative score of the subs i could add that on, know what I mean?
@hornsy where do i get the player rankings?

    thanks for all the suggestions!
