So, this is more of an "Hey, isnt that interesting" sort of a thread, but I figure, in the current lull, it cant hurt to take a look at.

So lets take a look at team supercoach scores throughout the year. One thing to keep in mind, because of the 3300 rule, the average score for a player would be 75.

The first thing that strikes me at round 12 is Freo. Whilst they are 8-4 and sitting in 4th on the real ladder, here they have given up more SuperCoach points that theyve made coming in at less than 75.

Carlton looks to have shot high, but when you look at the actual ladder, you can see that although they were in 6th at the time, they had the 4th highest percentage (behind St Kilda, Geelong and the Dogs- the other "top 4 teams in the table).

The biggest fall on this ladder would be North. Though again, although they were sitting 6-6 in 9th on the real ladder, their percentage was at 76.27

If we look at the second half of the season though, we can see a couple of things. First of the mark though is Collingwood. They found another gear in the second half of the season and it shows being the only top4 team to increase their output in the second half of the season.

We can see Freo and Carlton absolutely hemmoraging as they moved into the finals, and I reckon without the home ground advantage, Freo might have gone a different way.

Essendon showed why Knights got the can, and I reckon Ratten has got to be looking pretty shaky as well based on their finish.

And finally, we look at the overall. The biggest differences between this ladder and the real one are both big falls.

North and Fremantle both scored 6 places lower on this board than the real ladder.

Meanwhile, Melbourne and Essendon were the biggest climbers with 4 and 5 positions respectively.

Anyways, no great in-depth analysis, just a little fun with stats. And as a side note, to all you naysayers out there calling the Bombers the worst list in the comp- you can get stuffed! ;)
