That will definitely throw a spanner in the works.

I guess we have to hope it's after Collingwoods' second bye when, realistically, most teams are likely to have both Swan and Pendles in if they didn't already.

I had a quiet chuckle at the suggestion of players being rested vs Gold Coast. One would think you could just about throw Brisbane in there as well.

If they start sitting out the stars then the AFL will start to take notice.

I don't think the Sub rule will be around for too much longer **hoping anyway** I just dont like it.

Pies play 11 straight from Round 13.

Logical move, really, when all other teams bar GC get a later break.

I think the Pies just want to stick it to the rule to be honest, cause the AFL some red faces.

Pendlebury could miss legitimately, but Swan is more able to be managed up forward where he can be a danger player for opponents due to his upper body strength in marking contests.

I'd think both at least will get subbed off earlier in the game for at least 1-2 from here, and also will have the byes and probably one from general soreness.

The way they are scoring at the moment it won't matter. Trading them out won't get anywhere near the points benefit, so you'll have to ride it out.

The bigger issue is getting your emergencies right if the soreness comes about after Friday team lockout. That's going to create more issues with Supercoaches.

I think the real problem is going to be if they're both rested/subbed in the same game. One at a time is covered fairly easily but both would be pretty horrible.
