Obviously didn't show enough. Mature age experiment that perhaps didn't work.

I'm going Dickson to Treloar this week, as many will be. Clears some dead weight from the team and brings in what seems to be a great cash cow.

Coz the Bulldog selectors are clueless when it comes to spotting talent?
That's my best guess.

I traded him out rounds ago.

If you hold onto him, you're only holding onto somebody who may rise about 80-100k, and it will take him another 4-5 games to do that. Will he get that many games in the near future?

Trade Dickson -> Treloar, and watch him rise by that much in two rounds (possibly even one round)

@Nick - completely agree.

Dickson to Treloar (if you don't already have him) is a must trade.

I already have Treloar, so next week I will moving Smedts from DEF to FWD to get rid of Dickson and look to bring in a rookie down back.

There will always be more cows. And his price isn't dropping.

However, Dickson could now become a good dowgrade option in 3 or 4 weeks along with Couch and a few others. Dickson to Treloar now, then Treloar to Dickson + $200k in 4 weeks. :cool:

I admire your courage...if you weren't joking!

I have Ledger and Dickson. Does a straight swap for Treloar and OldMac sound good? Problem is I think I'm ditching Fyfe for Barlow...so therefore can only make one rookie trade, which rookie trade should I make??

I have bench cover in all positions so that isn't a problem.

Please help!

Noted. Sorry was just being lazy! Moved my question now :)

In terms of Dickson, I am leaning towards holding him. He will get plenty more chances as a mature age recruit in a struggling side (in terms of making finals). Only trade if you are seriously short on good cash cows or needing to avoid donuts. Always good to have 1 or 2 slow burners IMO...strictly 1 or 2!

There are "slow burners", then there are those that never ignite in the first place, Dickson seems to be of the latter. The fact that he is mature aged and is not getting a go doesn't bode well at all imo.

I wish there was evidence to disagree with this! Surely things can't get worse. Famous last words...
