    Good evening all,

This week's Team Of The Round scored an impressive 3142. You needed:

    Rance - RCH - 132
    Bock - GCS - 130
    Deledio - RIC - 127
    Gibbs - CAR - 123
    Reid - COL - 120
    Gibson - HAW - 117
    Thornton - CAR - 115

    Swan - COL - 156
    Mitchell - HAW - 155
    Houli - RIC - 148
    Sloane - ADE - 145
    Stanton - ESS - 141
    Lewis - HAW - 133

    Leuenberger - BRI - 172
    Ryder - ESS - 130

    Rioli - HAW - 350 (c)
    Franklin - HAW - 162
    Davis - COL - 128
    Staker - BRI - 122
    Pavlich - FRE - 115
    Knights - ADE - 111
    Smith - HAW - 110

bench of $91,700 no-namers with $67,700 left in the bank.

The original team was $310,100 over budget so 3 omissions to get in under $10m (for the loss of only 8 points). Apologies to:
    OUT:
    Ablett $514k - 134
    Betts $381k - 115
    O'Keefe $416k - 113
    IN:
    Lewis $407k - 133
    Knights $270k - 111
    Smith $257k - 110

    Last week's TOTR dropped 1021 from 3166 to 2145.

    Repeat appearances:
    9 - Gibbs (impressive)
    7 - Deledio (2nd consecutive), Pavlich
    6 - Swan (3rd consecutive), Franklin
    5 - Bock (3rd consecutive!)
    4 - Davis (2nd consecutive)
3 - Rance, Gibson, Thornton, Mitchell, Ryder, Rioli and Knights.

For the first time this year, a TOTR has been comprised of 6 players from the one team! Gibson, Mitchell, Lewis, Rioli, Franklin and Smith all from the Hawks. :)

I had 8 players make the TOTR in my score of 2486 (Deledio, Swan, Mitchell, Ryder, Rioli, Franklin, Pavlich and Smith). Meanwhile, the weekly winner of the $1000, (Blews Boys - 2738) also had 8 players make the cut.

I was out Saturday night so taped Before The Game... just getting the chance to watch it now. The awesome thing is that now it feels like Saturday night so I'll have two more days of work before it's the weekend again!

Anyway, good luck with your team and commiserations to Rodney Eade (or is it a good thing to be outta there??? lol)

    take care,

    The Silverback

    Cheers Silver

My amount of players in the TOTR reflected my miserable week which was NOT helped by Captain Goddard, I had a miserable 3 players make the cut (Gibbs, Swan, Pavlich).

Not looking at Montagna's current price, but with 60k-odd in the bank could Montagna of made the cut or is he too expensive now?

    Cheers Silver!

    @ Sainter

Yes, you are correct! At the start of R21:
    Lewis - $407,700
    Montagna - $452,300
a difference of $44,600 which would still fit in under the salary cap (leaving $23,100 in the bank).
I'm guessing that when I was sorting for 'cheaper' mid-fielders Lewis came up first so I used him and looked no further.

Dale Thomas also scored 133 points but his price of $508,500 would have exceeded the $10m budget.

    kind regards,

    The Silverback

Cheers Silver for that, was just unsure.
Makes my amount looks slightly better being able to take a pick between Montagna and Lewis, yet 4 players is terrible regardless and is probably close to if not lowest amount make the cut since I've been commenting on this.

My bad score of 2248 came at just the right time, didn't it? First week of finals, lost all 5 leagues but did have 2nd chance in all, I have jinxed my teams in finals, in the final four rounds before finals I had scores of 2415, 2438, 2505, 2523 and then come crashing back to earth in finals....sigh!

Anyway thanks Silver your work is terrific.
