This probably isn't Supercoach related but just wanted to start a thread for those who have heard some trade rumours/whispers/facts that they would like to share. With Free Agency being introduced, I am feeling excited for the trade period with lots of movement hopefully occuring. I will start of with a couple of things I have heard (you may already know).

Knights and Chaplin have already agreed to terms with Richmond and are now just waiting until the commencement of the trade period to make it official.

I have heard whispers that the Swans are interested in Jordan Russell and that the Bulldogs are interested in Bret Thornton.

If you have more, just write it up. I am sure some people will have mixed feelings about some rumours!!!

There we go. First official free agent deal completed. Chris Knights has gone to the Tigers. Good solid player who we can hopefully bring the best out of. Is a pretty good recruit as he can play midfield and forward.

Also, seems only a matter of time before Goddard deal to Dons is done. I don't think Danyle Pearce will move to Freo though you never know how Port's new coach will view things.

Freo have made the move for Pearce... can't see Port competing with it given that he doesn't even know who the coach is going to be!

Pearce, Goddard, Chaplin, Knights, Lynch all have almost done deals. Goddard and Knights confirmed.

My wildcard rumours include Pedersen to Collingwood, Zach Clarke to Collingwood, Giles to Collingwood, H-Mac to Collingwood, Ablett to Collingwood, Watson to Collingwood and Franklin to Collingwood.

Nah, sorry, in all seriousness though, I reckon one of Clarke, Giles or Pedersen are on there way to the black and white army. H-Mac to Geelong likely. As is Monfries to Port. Could be a massive trade period!

I'll back Giles in out of that lot... GWS can't give him the money he wants and he will easily replace Wood... Ta da!

I know they are only fringe players at their clubs but Matt Thomas(PA), David Rodan, Mitch Brown, Kane Lucas and Koby Stevens are apparently looking for new homes (Stevens and Rodan are definitely). Wouldn't mind a Thomas-type at the Tigers as he is a solid player. Could be used as sub. Would fit in well with our South Australian set-up

Daw got upgraded to Snr List, i think Kanga's will be trying harder this year than last to move HMac on.
Maloney linked to Sydney and Bombers. Bombers will be seriously good if they get Maloney and have Goddard.
Freo need another spread player, Pearce will be good for them.
I reckon tigers have done well with Chaplin and Knights, surely finals bound this year with them.

Anyone know what the go with Tippet is. More likely GC or Lions (maybe Sydney)?
And Kochy will revive the sinking ship at Port.... lol

Melbourne better do something good with pick 3 and 4.

@Rufus - actually Kochie isn't a bad fit as President tbh - one of the best financial brains in the country, high media profile, thousands of business contacts to bring more sponsorship dollars in, and has been a life-long Port Adelaide supporter so he knows the club's history and will work his arse off to help the club get back to it's best!!!

Might be a bit of a clown on tv mate, but what he doesn't know about financial management, investing and the like isn't worth knowing anyway - believe me, he is one of the most respected financial/business gurus in the country!!!
If he becomes President at Port, he will even have the AFL asking for his advice :)

    +1

Maybe he can read his own book to get Port out of the poo

Melbourne massive winners this trade period. Have secured Hogan, Byrnes, Dom Barry and look certain to land Cam Pedersen for a Key Back and Dawes for a KF. They could lift themselves out of the bottom 6 within 2 years.
