So, here we are, at fantasy footballs night of night.

The red carpet has been walked, and the WAGs are out in full flight.

The have been some winners, and a heck of a lot of shockers tonight, but there will only be one real winner tonight.

So without further ado, lets move onto round one.

    Round One.

The season opened with two former West Coast champions, battling for their new clubs. But it was Carlton, led by their captain, Chris Judd and a massive effort by Marc Murphy that got Carlton over the line. Meanwhile the grand final rematch turned out to be a ripper with Geelong again failing to convert in front of goal, and Hawthorn making it an eight point ball game.

Now, to prevent this post from being ludicrously big, well cut it down to reveal the top 5 in each competition after each round.

    Round 2
In a lot of ways, set the tone for the year. St Kilda again dominated their opponent, Geelong did enough to get over the line, while Hawthorn opened their title defense with a second defeat due to a might effort by Darren Jolly.

    SuperCoach
    4 Chris Judd
    4 Nick Dal Santo
    3 [many]

    DreamTeam
    5 Nick Dal Santo
    5 Steve Johnson
    4 Richard Hadley
    3 [many]

    Round 3
Saw St Kilda smash the West Coast Eagles by a massive 97 points, while on the other side of the spectum, the Bombers snuck over the line in a 4 point defeat of arch rivals Carlton in front of a packed MCG. Meanwhile, the Hawks get their title defence off and running with a convicing victory over the Kangeroos.

    SuperCoach

    5 Aaron Davey
    5 Gary Ablett
    5 Matthew Richardson
    4 [many]

    DT

    6 Darren Jolly
    6 Leigh Montagna
    5 Brent Stanton
    4 [many]

    Round 4
While it might seem repetitive to keep mentioning the Saints, they really have had a ripper of a season, and round 4 is no exception absolutly decimating Fremantle 17.9 111 to a poultry 4.4 28.

    SC
    8 Gary Ablett
    6 Matthew Richardson
    6 Nick Dal Santo
    5 [many]

    DT
    9 Leigh Montagna
    7 Nick Dal Santo
    6 Gary Ablett
    6 Darren Jolly
    5 [many]

    Round 5
To replicate the week before effort, St Kilda went on to defeat Port Adelaide 15.12 102 to 5.6 36, not to be outdone by Geelong who decimated the Lions 18.18 126 to 5.3 33 firmly instilling both teams as the teams to watch, and starting the countdown to round 14.

And it must be mentioned, in front of a packed MCG, David Zaharakis put the Bombers 5 points in front of the Magpies with seconds remaining.

    SC
    10 Gary Ablett
    6 Matthew Richardson
    6 Nick Dal Santo
    6 Leon Davis
    6 Matthew Boyd

    DT
    9 Gary Ablett
    9 Leigh Montagna
    7 Nick Dal Santo
    6 Darren Jolly
    6 Brent Stanton

So, as we take our first break, we see Ablett leading both competitions with the Ablett (SC), Montagna (DT) combination currently taking out the prize.

As we know though, Dane Swan is bound to start his charge up the leader board sooner or later.

So tune in tomorrow as we continue the count down to fantasy footballs greatest prize of all.
