Wagga Wagga 1455 d Cradle Mountain 1048
The Marsupials have continued on their merry, high-scoring ways, disposing of Cradle Mountain to continue their march into the Top 4.
A half dozen Wombats cracked the ton, headed by twin forwardline terrors Jay Schulz (149) and Lance Franklin (121).Dion Prestia (137), Scott Thompson (129) and Dylan Schiel (115) were also among the points in a line-up which featured one of the more impressive 66 point games (from Josh Jenkins) in recent history.
Cradle Mountain were well served by Pendels (121) and Heppell (105) in the middle, but a lack of support for the duo was telling - with Johnson, Redden and Zaha down on previous output. The Devils will need to lift in coming weeks to hold onto their spot in the eight.
Darraweit Guim 1377 d Foul Bay 1186
The reigning premiers have suffered their first defeat of season 2014, going down to the Dirigibles by 190 points in a rematch of the 2013 Grand Final.
Injury wrought havoc for the Chickens across the weekend, with Rhyce Shaw (17) and Matthew Stokes (5) forced from the field early in their respective games. Meanwhile, Patrick Dangerfield (71) looked less than 100% fit as well.
These issues were felt keenly as Rance (104), Westhoff (155), Cornes (103) and Goddard (120) chalked up tons and helped the Guim establish a handy lead.
Late game heroics from the Chickens' Mumford (152) and Heath Shaw (116) were not quite enough to make up the ground, with the Dirigibles' evergreen Harvey (131) finishing the game in fine style.
Marble Bar 1150 d Charlie's Opening 1072
The Misfits have caused an upset, defeating the injury-hit Charlie's Opening by 78 points to notch their fourth win of the season.
Led again by Les W Medal hope Callan Ward (120), the Misfits welcomed the return of Brad Sewell (116) in style. Even hundreds from Ryder and Steven led the rest of the Misfits players.
For the Spelunkers, The Frenchman and the Dish (114 and 101 respectively) led the forward line, with Pearce's 108 the only other 100+ score.
The absence of Joe Montagna had a big impact, as did a number of players being slightly off their best scoring form.
Waikikamoocow 1465 d Venus Bay 1303
In a high scoring matchup, the Incorrigibles strengthened their Top 4 position with a solid win over Venus Bay.
Seven 100+ scores laid the basis for the Incorrigibles good score, with Sauce Jacobs (147), Nathan Fyfe (143) and Concrete-head Robinson (128) the best. Jay-Z's 122 marked an improved effort over previous weeks.
Mundy (126), Parker (121) and Gibbs (108) led the scoring for Venus Bay, who enjoyed an even effort across the board. A consistent forward four (Parker, Howe, Mayes and Blair) were great, but a lack of solid backline scoring proved the difference between the two sides.
Whitsunday 1319 d Gundagai 1200
The Warriors have crept to within a game of the Top 8 with a hard-fought win over an improving Grasshoppers side.
It was the Warrior's SA contingent that again led the way, with Ollie (130) and Boak (123) superb. Barlow's 114 and Steven Motlop's 105 supplied timely boosts. The General (90) is starting to make his mark as well.
The mighty Tom Rockliff again lifted the Grasshoppers with another massive score (158). Fellow midfielder Lachie Neale continued his fine season (135), while big Sandy scored 111.
Curnow and Witts were solid off the bench, while Jack Martin's return bodes well for future weeks.
Iron Knob 1366 d Birdsville 1160
The Codpieces are now outright competition leaders after rolling to a solid win over Birdsville.
The Little Master returned to form, his 160 one of five 100+ scores - Harbrow, Breust and Darling the next best. However injury concerns remain over Ryan Griffin (47), although the Codpieces' depth is among the best in the league.
Birdsville's Chris Mayne played another blinder (126), while Cloke's 103 was encouraging. Veterans Enright and Houli were solid in defence.
McKenzie and Green filled in admirably for the injured Murphy and McEvoy, but the Battlers will surely welcome the return of that duo in the coming week or two in order to continue their recent good form.
Gariwerd 1106 d Lovely Banks 1036
In a low-scoring match, the Cockies notched up win number 3 for the season and knocked off the Lilacs by 70 points.
It was Gariwerd's much improved defensive line that helped secure the win - recruit Trent McKenzie (101) top scoring, while Hurn, Smith and Guthrie were all solid.
Christensen's return (83) will surely help improve a forwardline enjoying good form from Big Tex and Robbie Gray.
For the Lilacs, Rosa (121), Thompson (120) and Duncan (100) marshalled a solid midfield effort. But injuries and the subs vest cruelled the side - Langdon's injury (12) and Caddy (33) starting as sub hurt, while Pyke (41) in the ruck was clearly far from 100%.
Coach Jen will hope Chapman will return this week, while Jones, Billings and the much-maligned Wellingham may all be in the selection frame.
Nunawading 1151 d Larrikin Lagoon 961
Nunawading inched closer to the Top 8 with a comfortable win over Larrikin Lagoon.
Josh P Kennedy crashed and bashed his way to 118 for the Nuffas, while Rhys Palmer's 104 was more than handy. Dan Cross scored an even 100, with big Charlie Dixon hitting form in the ruck (97)
Priddis (131) and Lewis (114) were the best for the Lefties, who endured a bevy of down performances from a number of good players - Cunnington, Conca, Lumumba, Monfries and Zac Smith were among those well below their best and with plenty of room to improve.
Mt Beauty 1161 d Powlett Plains 1048
A pair of sublime performances from Harley Bennell and Dustin Martin steered the Uglies towards a win over the Packers.
Bennell's 167 and Martin's 148 provided more than 25% of the Uglies' score - efforts that were much needed given the continued absence of a ruckman. Wingard chipped in 102 and Ellis 95 off the bench.
Powlett Plains enjoyed a couple of great performances of their own - mid-season pick-up Levi Greenwood continuing his stunning run of form with 131. That makes six straight 100+ scores since the bye - an unbelievable run.
Young Anthony Miles scored 126 off the bench. However an injury to Brandon Matera (17) hit hard, with all eyes on him to see if he plays this coming weekend.

Next weekend:
Round 12 (AFL round 15);27/6 - 29/6.Comeuppance Cup / Schadenfreude Shield
Don't you love it when a bastard you particularly dislike gets taken down. We all have a pet hate we would smile broadly if it happened to... Here's hoping.
As for the games, the match between Charlie's Opening and Lovely Banks looms as a key one for both team's finals aspirations.
