OK this week I will steer clear of many debates only to say, generally in these team building rounds an approach of "one up-one down" is a good one. Â And one down so you can go two up is at times one that you should take - but only in special circumstances.
No I havent ditched Sandilands last week, and Im unlikely to this week, but if I hear even a whiff of doubt about his injury next week he is gone. Â And its simply because I want some extra cash to complete my team. Â End of story.
Now over the break I wont discuss anything but the best value buys, fresh meat, the best PODs and the All-Australians...(LOL)

Best Value Buys
DEF: My list looks ugly here. Â Theres Heppell (who most have), Enright (who has spudded recently), Newman (a bye this week), Suckling (still not liked by many) and Gibbs (owned and hated on by many). Â So maybe you are better off getting one of the three consistent guns this year in defence: Shaw, Fisher and Scotland. Â Of these if making the trade now Id go Scotland. Â But if you can hold out until after the bye for the Pies/Saints, then do so. Â Stanley has provided handy backup recently.
MID: Again it looks ugly. Â Swan is there but obviously hampered. Â I wouldnt rush to get him yet if you dont have him already. Â Bartel is back in the value, but thats because hes been smashed by Selwood recently (something I predicted at start of year). Â So Id look down a bit further to Mitchell and Swallow (slightly midrange), to Pendlebury and S Thompson (this years elite).
FWD: Cyril and Fyfe are topping the value lists, but both are risky prospects for those who are prospective holders, as most would have Pavlich and Franklin and you dont want too many from one team as byes come in and injuries take over later in the season. Â Therefore I like the look of Chapman (at the price) regardless of his current form (class is permanent), and Steve Johnson (who has benefited more than Varcoe from GAJs departure). Â Johnson and Sylvia are in form and right at the mark for mine.
RUC: Not a great zone at all, so Id just say if you get someone in, either get J Tippett to facilitate a F-R link, Â or consider the Bailey-Vardy upgrades.
Fresh Meat
Delaney is the one for backline downgrades, but North has good depth there, and Pedersen is always a possible recall option.
Midfield you have Evans on the bubble (not convinced personally on his Job Security), but Id say Mzungu is the player of choice to open the MF link.
Forwards obvious target is Mzungu.
Rucks its Vardy or Bailey or Browne. Â Wait on team selections. Â Id suggest all have a chance to be dropped this week regardless of form displayed.
PODS (yeah its short for Points of Difference)
You dont want to create a clone team of everyone else.  But you dont want to miss someone that is hurting you week in, week out.  I think the key here is no short-term decision making when trading players in.  If you get Hodge, know that you have to carry him if his Achilles injury flairs up again.
So here are players up the top of the averages that not many have in their teams - they can be your points of difference to carry you to (at least) league success. Â The "not many teams" factor is determined by being under 40,000 having them in the teams. Â I have put how many teams have them in brackets (to nearest 000)
