Trade week is upon us, and its been talked up as being a huge one.

That said though, so was last year, and the year before that- and generally peters out into a not-much instead of the predicted roar.

I would love to see some big moves, just wont get my hopes up.

That said though, well be keeping track of everything that happens here, and on the Twitter- so follow along and check back!
    Mini draft
Gold Coast Suns formally select J OMeara as pick one in mini-draft.
Adelaide Crows formally select B Crouch as pick two in mini-draft.

    Official Trades
    Trade p/work lodged - Richmond exchange 2010 End rd1 Comp pick (N Bock) to Suns for 2010 Rd2 Comp pick (N Krakouer),On-Traded rd1 pick (26).
Again, the Sun consolidate their picks towards the top of the ladder.

Trade p/work lodged - Essendon exchange Josh Jenkins and rd2 pick (41) to the Adelaide Crows for its On-Traded rd2 pick (31).
Jenkins to move up 10 spots in the draft, I dunno, I have a feeling that this one will bite us in a few years if JD doesnt come on as expected.

Trade p/work lodged - St Kilda exchange Tommy Walsh to Sydney for On-Traded rd2 pick (35) and On-Traded rd4 pick (68).
Not a bad result for a rookie pick who hasnt played a game. Reckon both sides will be happy enough with this one.

    Trade p/work lodged - Adelaide exchange On-Traded rd1 (24) to the Suns for its Priority Selection (27), On-Traded rd 2 (31) and rd4 (68).
The suns again focus their picks up, 24 for 27 and 31 is an easy win for the Crows here.

Trade p/work lodged. Geelong exchange rd 1 (26) to the Suns for its rd 2 (32) and its on-traded rd 2 (34).
I reckon Geelong have done well here, falling 6 spots back to pick up #34 should benefit them, while the GC probably need more quality and less quantity in their picks.

    Trade p/work lodged - 3-Way Trade
Lions Recieve Dayne Zorko (Qld Zone) and On-Traded rd2 pick (47) for rd2 pick (34) and rd 3 pick (52)
Suns Recieve rd2 pick (34) and Matthew Warnock for On-Traded rd2 pick (47) and Dayne Zorko
Melbourne receive rd 3 pick (52) for Warnock

Im pretty sure thats the long and short of it, feels like the Suns got the best of this one, but well have to keep an eye on young Zorko there. Dayne Zorko averaged 125 SuperCoach Points at 07 U18 Champs and 120 in 07 TAC Cup. Of 12 junior games Champion Data has on record, six were 150+

Trade p/work lodged - W Bulldogs exchange Ben Hudson to Bris Lions for rd 4 pick (70).
Boy did the Lions need this considering their ruck stocks. Still, shouldnt put a dent into Leueys stocks as a premium ruck- only him and his body can do that!

Trade p/work lodged - Western Bulldogs exchange Josh Hill to West Coast for its on-traded rd 3 pick (49).
After all the speculation early, I was sure this trade was off the cards- guess the Coast/Dogs were just keeping their options open. Hill opened his career with an 3 game average over 100, and its been all downhill from there. Will be a decent player for the Coast, but wont give us much love as coaches.

Trade p/work lodged - Brisbane Lions exchange Luke Power to GWS Giants for its on-traded rd 4 pick (69).
As with Cornes/Brogan, it cost GWS pick 49 for all three. Fair trade considering they were all retired. :D

Trade p/work lodged - Richmond exchange Mitch Morton to Sydney Swans for rd 4 pick (79).
The 2011 pre-season hype machine certainly failed to live up to expectations. Averaging 55 last year, he is bound to improve on that next year, but beware of the mid-price trap. If you dont believe hell make it as a keeper, steer clear peoples! That said, Swans got a bargain!

Trade p/work lodged -Collingwood exchange rd 2 pick (47) to GC Suns for Peter Yagmoor (Queensland Zone Selection), rd 3 pick (50)
Another bargin for the Pies, averaging 15 touches and 4 tackles over the NAB Championships, Yagmoor averaged 64DT, for a massive 103SC over his 5 games for Queensland.

Trade p/work lodged - West Coast exchange Brad Ebert, Rd 2 pick (45) to Port Adelaide for its Priority Pick (28), On-Traded Rd 3 pick (49).
Ebert for pick 28, probably a fair trade this one.

Trade p/work lodged - GWS exchange Rd 3 pick (49) to Port Adelaide for Chad Cornes, Dean Brogan and Rd 4 pick (69).
Fair enough this one, GWS havent had to pop on one of their free noms in order to secure a pair of veterens who were moving on anyways.

Trade p/work lodged. GWS exchange Jarrad Boumann (player previously nominated for Draft) to Hawthorn for its Rd 3 (on-traded 56)
Will have to take a closer look at this Boumann character, picked up by the doggies at pick 48 back in the 2007 draft, didnt actually get a game before being delisted and playing for Boxhill.

    Trade p/work lodged.Frem exchange Rd 2 (38), Rd 3 (56) to Hawthorn for its Priority (on-traded 29), Rd 3 (on-traded 58), Rd 4 (on-traded 71)
Moving 10 spots back early to pick up pick 71, that just seems wrong to me.

Mon 17/10. Trade p/work lodged. Hawthorn exchange Jordan Lisle to the Brisbane Lions for its Priority Selection (currently number 29).
I like this move by Lisle, it was always going to be tough to carve out a career in the shadows of Franklin and Roughead, so it should do his well.

Agreement has been reached tonight to trade Brisbane player Mitch Clarke to @melbournefc for selection 12 in the 2011 National Draft.
BOOM. Headshot. Melbourne swoop in to pick up Clark, beating Freos offer of 16 and 20 with their offer of 12. Not sure, but I reckon I would have preferred 16 and 20, but I guess it depends on when they see the draft going thin.

As for Clark, should be a very good fit at Melbourne and can see them moving on Bate now.

Armstrong, pick #35 & a late selection(?) to Swans for Lewis Johnston – Adelaide now has the 12th (Johnston) & 13th (Lynch) selections from 2008 draft, the same draft that they selected Phil Davis at #10.
An interesting trade, Johnston being a high pick just a few years ago seems a big loss to the Swans, but apparently there was a "reason TM"

Trade p/work lodged. Hawthorn exchange Brent Renouf to Port Adelaide for its Round 2 pick (33).
Will Renouf step into a lucrative #1 ruck spot at the Power this year?

Trade p/work lodged. Adelaide Crows exchange Ivan Maric to Richmond for round 2 pick (37).
Im not too sure what to think of this one, Richmond are crying for a decent ruck, but will Maric really offer more than what they already have?

Trade p/work lodged. St Kilda exchange Tom Lynch to Adelaide Crows for round two on-traded pick (37).
I like Tom Lynch, I really hope he gets a solid opportunity at the Crows to ply his trade.

Trade P/work lodged - Hawthorn exchange Will Sierakowski to North Melbourne for its round 3 selection (58)
Coming through the NSW scholarship program, Sierakowski is a tall athletic utility with good marking ability, but hasnt yet had the opportunity to prove himself in the big leagues. Should be one to keep an eye on as the Roos wouldnt have thrown a pick away on a nobody.

Uncontracted player deadline - GWS have signed Sam Reid (WBulldogs) as a second player from the same club, with that club’s permission.
Interesting, so the Dogs will be hoping to receive a tasty compo pick in return - what are we thinking here? 3rd rounder? worse?

Trade p/work lodged. GWS exchange Luke Brown (Norwood),mini-draft pick (2) to Crows for Rd1 pick (10), 2011 Rd 1 Compensation pick (P Davis)
Two first rounders cashed in by the Crows. The mini-draft pick will go towards Crouch, whos rated a future top5 pick, so that looks a win for the Crows, but it does all depend on Luke Brown- who was overlooked in just last years draft.

Trade p/work lodged. GWS Giants exchange on-traded Rd 1 selection (20) to Fremantle for its 2011 End Rd 1 Compensation Selection (R Palmer).
Not much to see here kids, move along.

Trade p/work lodged. GWS exchange Terry Milera (Port Magpies), Ahmed Saad (North Bullants) and Rd 1 pick (25) to St Kilda for Rd 1 pick (20)
Great effort here for the Saints, while I havent read too much on Milera yet, I knocked up this profile on Saad earlier in the year. Also, anyone know if hes related to former Seymour player Saad Saad?

    Amhed Saad.
    Northern Bullants
    Height: 175cm
    Weight: 74kg
    DOB: 09/10/89

At 22 years old, Saad only switched from Soccer at 17 years old.

Won himself the Fothergill-Round medal for the most talented youngster in the VFL, an honour shared by Michael Hibberd, Barlow, Nahas and Valenti.

Has some serious speed and as a small forward is playing in one of the most lucrative positions for a rookie, in fact at the AFL Combine last week won the repeat sprint test in 23.64 seconds, the fourth-best time in combine history.

And a bit of info on Milera for you from StKildaThunda

    Terry Milera (SA - Forward)
    Height: 185cm, Weight 71kg, DOB: 08/01/1988 (23)
    Recruited from: Port Adelaide Magpies
    Style: Alan Didak

    Strengths:
    Skills, speed, awareness and decision-making.

Bio: Lightly-built medium forward and midfielder who is trying to break into the AFL at the age of 22. Won the 2010 reserves best and fairest in the SANFL while playing for the Port Adelaide Magpies.

    Trade p/work lodged. GWS swap pick one 17y/o mini-draft and rd2 pick (31) to Suns for rd1 pick (4) and 2010 Compensation mid-rd 1 (G Ablett)
Heh, so the idea was to see GWS score some players in exchange for mini-draft access has seen them giving up access to Jaeger for the #4 pick in the draft. This will see the GWS with the first 5 picks in the draft.

    12.10.1:10 - Trade p/work lodged. Crows exchange Jack Gunston, its rd3 pick (53), rd4 pick (71) to Hawthorn for its rd1 (24), rd2 (46) and rd3 (64) picks
Drafted 2 years ago at pick 29, Gunston has played 2 games in 2010 for an average of 49 and 12 games in 2011 for an average of 53 off 10 disposals. That includes a round 23 effort against Richmond with 16 disposals, 5 goals and 102 SuperCoach points.

On the surface, it looks like Adelaide got the raw end here, and in reality, they probably did- but thats what happens when a player wants to leave- however, on a pure pick basis, it was essentially picks 29, 53 and 71 for picks 24, 46 and 64.

10.10.4:33 - Trade p/work lodged. GWS exchange Marty Clarke, Jamie Elliot (Murray Bushrangers) and rd4 pick 67 to Collingwood for its rd1 pick 25
Looks like some good work by the pies, Clarke should slot in pretty easily into their backline, meanwhile Jamie Elliot looks a likely type, in his only game in the TAC Championships, he scored himself a 126DT off 16 disposals, 4 goals and 10 tackles. Not too shabby and definitely should be on our radars.

10.10.3:58 - Trade paperwork formally lodged. Richmond exchanges its rd1 pick(currently 14) to GWS for its rd 1 pick (currently 15) and Steven Morris
The cherry is popped on tradeweek. Richmond pick up a player, giving up just a single place in the draft. Other clubs watch and hope they can get Maeger that cheaply.

    Father/Son Selections
Sydney Swans take Tom Mitchell with it’s rd1 selection (21st) after matching the bid by Fremantle (16th).
Carlton will take Dylan Buckley (son of Jim) with its last pick at 2011 NAB AFL Draft as there was no other bid at today’s F/S meeting.
Geelong Cats will take Jed Bews (son of Andrew) with its last pick at 2011 NAB AFL Draft as there was no other bid at today’s F/S meeting.

Looks like Sydney and Carlton both got some utter steals!
