So, were getting into the home stretch with the NAB just a few weeks away, lets whip around the grounds again for another series of training reports.

Adelaide
19/1
Luke Thompson and Will Young were missing.,
The session revolved around a series of competitive drills, followed by a mini-game.
Sam Kerridge didnt get involved in the mini game, however, was impressive through the drills.
Mitch Grigg was very good in the mini-game, playing off the half-back line.
As with every preseason, a lot of the boys are looking bigger, of note though was Rory Sloane.
Tex is massive, over 100kgs.
20/1
Jacobs and Tippett were doing a lot of ruckwork, which makes me think the TipRat will be playing the Leigh Brown role
this year.
Grigg and Johnston was training with the backs (Otten, Johncock, Reilly)
VB won the "5 minute run", chalking up 3.3 laps (just over 1500), while most of the crows made it to 3 laps.
According to twitter Andy Otten "jagged" his "shit knee", "but all good just irritated it a little".
25/1
It was noted again, the contested nature of the training session. Looks like the Crows will be focused on winning the
hard ball- which as we know, is worth that little bit more.
Porplyzia was move well when leading for the ball.
Looks like the Crows might be aiming to enter into the forward 50, with a tall and small leading each time, with the
forward entry drill groups consisting of McKenzie and Porplyzia in one group and Tippett/Petrenko in the other
Kerridge is running hard, and played through the mini-game this session.
Luke Thompson was back in the main group.
30/1
Defender Ben Rutten will have foot surgery this week to relieve plantar fasciitis. Rutten, 28, is expected to return to
full training in six weeks.
2/2
"They all beat the crap out of each other then cried about it on twitter"
Thats one way I read it put. Very succinct. Another is that Walker and Jaensch came to blows during training. Though
it has been suggested that the players put it on twitter just to get a rise out of the media.
Either way though, the Crows are sounding bloody fired up!
Meanwhile, Porps is still flying!
5/2
"Brodie Martin hasn’t played a lot of AFL footy, but he’s had a good pre-season. Luke Brown and Mitch Grigg " - Milburn
on young players expected to get good NAB time. And with Rutten missing a good number of weeks, it could be
interesting.
Brisbane
16/1
Club had a bit of an interclub match.
Rich looked good as was Hanley, Brown, Merrett, Polkinghorne, Leuenberger, Retzlaff and Banfield.
Mckeever, Docherty, Drummond, Polec and Zorko were all on modified training.
Longer left the field halfway through with something.
Adcock is working very hard.
18/1
Longer, Bartlett, Polec, Zorko, Sheldon and Mckeever in the modified group while Drummond spent the session on the
bike.
Rich is still burning it up while Lisle, Patful, Polkinghorne, Hanley, Green, OBrien and Raines all impressed.
Yeo, Crisp and Wrigley are shaping up nicely. Wrigley of note is 24 years old, so keep your eye on him.
25/1
Training was pulled cause of the rain, but apparently was a "low key" session anyways, so its k.
26/1
We have a puff piece on Banfield getting more midfield time.
1/2
Looks like the Lions are bulking up, a quick breakdown is below:
Todd Banfield: +5kg (from 78kg to 83kg)

Bryce Retzlaff: +9kg (from 86kg to 95kg)
Justin Clarke: +5kg (from 83kg to 88kg)
Josh Dyson: +8kg (from 71kg to 79kg)
Sam Michael: +5kg (from 93kg to 98kg
3/2
Drummond is rehabing on a special running machine, so I reckon he might last til round 8 this year...
6/2
In super hot conditions, it sounds like rookie, Brad Harvey was very good in the backline. He was super quick, coming
2nd in the 20 meter sprint at the 2012 combine, with Def/Mid eligibility. Again, eyes on.
Longer and Polec are both back to training and looked good.
Karnezis ran into a fence. Didnt run out the session, but I believe hes fine.
Mckeever came off with a foot injury, not great.
Rich, Bartlett, Docherty, Zorko and Drummond were all in the rehab group.
Carlton
16/1
Ed Curnow took out the time trial around Princess Park, just ahead of Andrew Walker.
Rookies Tom Bell and Frazer Dale were 3rd and 4th, followed by Collins, Lucas, Simpson and Kerr.
20/1
Murphy, Thornton, Garlett, Walker and Duigan were missing.
Waite, Yarran, Bower, Warnock and Bray were running only.
Judd, Curnow, Heyne, Carter, OKeeffe, Collins and McInnes were in the no contact group.
Gibbs was looking good as ever. Really sad hes lost his DPP, but hes nearly doing enough to earn a spot in my
midfield.
Robinson was training hard. Contested hard and is gunna KO himself if he keeps it up.
Lucas is very quick, while Curnow runs and runs and runs.
27/1
Mitchell, Duigan, Armfield and Rowe were out.
Jamison, Hampson and OKeeffe were on running only
Judd, Curnow, Warnock, Russell, McCarthy, Bell and Waite were on no contact.
Continuing on with their pre-season hype, Walker and Lucas are both progressing very well.
Henderson looks to have taken a step up, which is something you Blues fans would love to hear!
No worries about Murphy missing last week, he was fantastic.
28/1
In interesting interview with Carltons forward coach John Barker on Andrew Walker
"The only issue Ive got at the moment is that the midfield coaches are pretty keen to get him back into that part of
the ground, so were having a bit of a tug of war at the moment about where hell play."
Should that happen, though, the trade-off could be having more access to Bryce Gibbs in a forward role."
Notsureifsrs
3/2
Thornton was missing.
Watson, Rowe, White and Okeeffe were running only.
Hampson smashed Kreuzer in the ruck duels.
Walker is still getting is weekly ZOMGAWESOME from the fans. If he doesnt part the sea on his way to the NAB, Im
gunna be shocked!
Bootsma is continuing an impressive pre-season will definitely play games this year.
Jamison did most of the session.
4/2
The puff machine is up and firing on Sugar Kane Lucas. Giving big wraps to the second yearer (with a 30% discount)
8/2
Looks like Jamison could be out from 3-4 months! Big news for Bower. That said though, some reports have him coming
back for the NAB, so its one to watch.
Collingwood
20/1
Krakouer and Stubbs were missing.
Reid, Rounds and Josh Thomas in the rehab group.
Maxwell and Wood did very little contact work.
Pendlebury was no longer wearing the compression bandage on his right calf. Good news.
Didak was very good, impressing in all of the drills.
As I mentioned last review, Elliot has a great set of hand on him and is strong on the lead.
2/2
Turns out that Krakouer has been training away from the team. So much needed "downtime".
4/2
Witts did decently against Jolly.
Fasalo was very good at clearing the ball.
Elliot again impressed - Im getting more and more confident that hell get games next year.
Sidebottom was very good, playing across the halfback line.
7/2
After all the good reports, looks like Didak will be missing a month with a torn adductor.
8/2
Beams was missing, would be interesting to find out more on this.
Cloke was away from the main group.
