Another week, another 48 votes. Â Interestingly 40 of them are agreed between my calculations and the TS masses - will delve into the differences over the break.
We are still probably 2-3 weeks away from seeing who is going to have a massive push for this years medal, however a couple of early flyers are starting to emerge.

St Kilda v Richmond
TS
3 - B. Deledio (3)
2 - S. Milne (2)
1. S. Grigg (1)
Holey:
3 - S. Milne (3)
2 - B. Deledio (2)
1 - S. Grigg (1)
Milne and Deledio the two best players for their respective sides. Â Deledio probably deserves the three, but Milne has a better record when he puts in games as he did on Friday night.
Collingwood training run
TS:
3 - S. Pendlebury (4)
2 - D. Swan (5)
1 - C. Dawes (1)
Holey:
3 - S. Pendlebury (3)
2 - D. Swan (5)
1 - C. Dawes (3)
Cleary the best two players on the ground. Â Pendleburys early work + better BOG return with the umps gets him the nod here. Â Both camps have Swan on 5 after two rounds, which may seem excessive given his perceived run with the umps, but his recent output is beyond his usual high levels. Â Swan has 7 games with a combined DT/SC score over 300, and has polled in everyone at an average of 2.14 votes per game. Â 4-5 seems about right at this very early stage of the season.
West Coast v Port Adelaide
TS:
3 - A. Embley (3)
2 - L. Shuey (2)
1 - D. Cox (4)
Holey:
3 - A. Embley (3)
2 - L. Shuey (2)
1 - D. Cox (4)
Coxs poor polling records sees him with just the one when probably being level with Shuey. Â Embley was fantastic.
Carlton training run
TS:
3 - M. Murphy (5)
2 - B. Gibbs (5)
1 - C. Judd (2)
Holey:
3 - C. Judd (3)
2. B. Gibbs (5)
1. M. Murphy (3)
Same players - just in reverse. Â I think Judd did enough this week for his Judd-factor to push him into BOG position in the umpires eyes. Â That said, there were 3 players who scored 4 or more goals, so 1 or 2 of those could easily push for the minor votes too.
Geelong v Fremantle
TS:
3 - C. Enright (4)
2 - Â M. Pavlich (2)
1 - C. Ling (1)
Holey:
3 - M. Pavlich (3)
2 - C. Ling (2)
1 - C. Enright (1)
Dont disagree that Enright was best on field. Â Just dont think the umps will agree after consistently poor polling ability, probably the reason he is still considered underrated when everyone else knows how good a player he is. Â In 2009, he and Ablett tied for the Geelong B&F, with Ablett finishing on 30 votes and Enright nada. Â Mundy and Varcoe strong chances in this game also.
Western Bulldogs v Brisbane
TS:
3 - R. Griffen (3)
2 - M. Boyd (2)
1 - Â D. Cross (1)
Holey:
3 - R. Griffen (3)
2 - M. Boyd (2)
1 - T. Liberatore (1)
Coin toss between Libba and Cross for the one, either way, is unlikely to effect overall or team votes come end of year.
Sydney v Essendon
TS:
3 - J. Bolton (4)
2 - A. Goodes (2)
1 - R. OKeefe (4)
Holey:
3 - A. Goodes (3)
2 - J. Bolton (2)
1 - R. OKeefe (4)
Its a case of near enough is goodes enough in this game - but hey, Â Jude was fantastic. Â You may remember Jude picking up 190 SuperCoach points in a game last year, and Walesy thought it was enough for all 6 votes....he only got the 2 then as well.
Hawthorn v Melbourne
TS:
3 - C. Rioli (3)
2 - M. Suckling (2)
1 - S. Burgoyne (1)
Holey:
3 - M. Suckling (3)
2 - C. Rioli (2)
1 - S. Burgoyne (1)
The Suckling and the Milne call are the two that Im gonna get smashed on this week me thinks... Suckling untried in front of the umps (even though it wasnt like it was his first game - just his first potential BOG), but Cyril wasnt the clear cut best player in this one either. Â Coin toss...
Leaderboards:
TS:
5 - Swan, Murphy, Gibbs
4 - Pendlebury, Cox, Enright, J Bolton, OKeefe
Holey:
5 - Swan, Gibbs
4 - Cox, OKeefe
