There are a big couple of days coming up this week regarding the new NBA season. It is still not official that the new season will go ahead; however it should be by the end of this week, as the players who are members of the Union will be voting on Thursday US time. Then on Friday team training camps will open and FAs will be able to be signed. Probably what I am most excited about though, is before then - the revised schedule will be announced on Tuesday US time so we will most likely know it by the time most people read this and I should be able to work out our Fantasy schedule over the coming days.

Our leagues are pretty much set:

Too Serious NBA PREMIER LEAGUE:
Owen, HEAVER, karlos & Lethal, Mick, Jasmine, fudge, anthak, dabombers, chris88 & smittys07, walesy, maggots, Ruddy.

Div 1:
stowie, Fez, UnderAchievers, Steve, Doobs, Sainter, crossy, bgt2110, LiQuiD_SiXx, costak, Rev, spm67.

Div 2:
blankmc, joellamerton, twoeyec, Don_Cottagers, maxweas, smokinjoemisiti, nicksnow, minis, Jet, Cobra_Magic, travyboy11, hawker.

Although we need to work out what to do about blankmc... he has joined the league, alhough he is the only person who hasnt reconfirmed since the recent good lockout news, and we have an emergency - <a href="http://tooserious.net/nba/comment-page-3#comment-111508" target="_blank">brettmarinovich[/url] - waiting in the wings. We havent heard from blankmc since <a href="http://tooserious.net/possibly-wishful-thinking-fantasy-nba/comment-page-1#comment-110550" target="_blank">October 2nd[/url] despite numerous emails and messages sent to them...   I am inclined to think that we should give the spot to Brett, but I want to hear what everyone else thinks first...

Our NBL H2H ladder has become quite congested at the top, with 5 teams all on 6 and 2! We have a new leader with UnderAchievers having the best % of the 5; although Parasite still leads the total points ladder - despite slipping back to 14th overall.

Now, I just wrote in last weeks thread that I wasnt gonna be able to get this thread up tonight, but Im finishing it on my phone as I had already written a lot of it today... But, Im not going to include our current NBL ladder as it will be a pain to do it on my phone...

But over the break will be the NBL fantasy results and schedule as usual, and a bit more about our fantasy NBA leagues::::::

Now, onto the NBA...

I asked a few questions of everyone last week and we had a couple of near unaminous decisions, and one which may be a bit tricky to work out.
It seems like everyone is in agreement on the relegation and promotion setup: 2 teams swapping between Premier and Div1, and 4 between Div1 and Div2 - so we can lock that in.
And it was a bit of a landslide decision in favour of setting the draft order in advance, rather than having the order randomised 1 hour before the draft. So, I will sort out the draft orders sometime over the next few days. But this year, Im just gonna take whatever position I get 1st go. Last year, I did random order over and over until I ended up with pick #19 (out of 20) as I thought that was fairest... But not this time

The hard thing to work out is the draft time.
Everyone that responded agrees that we should do it on the weekend of the 17th and 18th - for various reasons. But the actual day and time was a bit harder to lock in.

I think each league will have to work out what day and time is best for the majority of their 12 members.
But from the responses so far:
Sunday looks best for Premier
Div 1 has one that can only make it on Saturday, and one that can only make it on Sunday
And Div 2 only had two representatives put forward anything - Jet cant make either day, and Maxweas has suggested 10am on either day.

Anyway, looks like we still need a bit more discussion about the draft day and time.
Remember that it can only be held between midnight AEDT and 4:45pm AEDT.

Feel free to discuss it here of course, but I know Steve is already collating responses for Div 1, so probably best to get in touch with him about that Division. Div 2 - would be good to get input from a couple of others.

And with Premier, I think we can lock in Sunday the 18th... We just gotta work out a good time. Im easy with whatever time - Is there a time where anyone in Premier specifically cant make it on that Sunday?

EDIT: I have now locked in Sunday 18th 10 am for Div1, and tentatively booked Sunday 18th 11am for Premier, and Sunday 18th 11:30am for Div 2 (all times are AEDT) ...  If there is anyone that specifically cannot make these times on that day and wants them changed, please let me know in the comments.
