This season has flown. Last year we had 20 teams and therefore 19 rounds of regular season games; whereas with only 12 in each league this season, we have 8 less games for our regular season. And its done now. There was a dramatic final day today with finals spots and relagation spots still not decided until todays games finished.

    The highest scorer this week was a good story - LiQuiD_SiXx (in division 1) was the only team across all three leagues that went into this round still a chance for relegation and also still a chance to make the playoffs, and he rose to the occasion scoring a whopping 1830 and booked his place in the playoffs. The highest scoring loser this week was almost the team against him with 1609, but maxweas managed to lose with a score of 1616 in Division 2 - and a win would have seen him make the playoffs, as the loss left him in 7th spot. The closest game of the round also ties into this result as joellamerton lost to brettmarinovich by just 6 points - they are good mates and JL only needed a win to clinch 6th spot but couldnt do it when youd think a mate may have given them the win, but as it turned out, another of their good mates was the one that beat maxweas and allowed joellamerton to make the playoffs with his close loss. The lowest score of the week went to Walesy in Premier League, coming the week after his 2nd win of the season.

    Some interesting points of note to take from the regular season... Firstly, probably the biggest news is that last years champ - dabombers - has found himself in the relegation zone after finishing on a 5 game losing streak. Fez (in Div 1) finished as the only undefeated team and easily had the most points for across all 3 leagues with almost 1000 more than the next closest - HEAVER in Premier league. Interestingly those two were the highest scorers in their respective leagues and finished 1st; however the highest scorer in Div2 was smokinjoemisiti and he could only manage 6 wins and 5th spot on the ladder. In the two lower divisions, the points for was not a determining factor for final ladder osition; however in Premier, they both correlated almost identically... with all ladder positions going in order of Points For except for Robert Sarvers Handbag who ranked 2nd on Points For but 4th on the final ladder.

    Before we head over the break, I just want to remind everyone that finished in the relegation zone that you still have a chance to stay up - if anyone wins the bottom 6 playoffs then you save yourself from the drop. If you have a look at the playoff tree, you have to make it to, and win, the GmC7 matchup in the Consolation ladder. If someone manages this feat, then the next in line up the ladder at end of regular season will be relegated.

    Now join us over the break for the final ladders of each league and the reviews of each game last round::::::::::::::

    Now onto the usual reviews:

    PREMIER LEAGUE (by anthak):

    <a title="Adelaide Maggotz (Cameron Sears)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&amp;teamId=21&amp;seasonId=2012" target="_top">Adelaide Maggotz (maggots) v <a title="ant hak (Anthony Hack)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&amp;teamId=1&amp;seasonId=2012" target="_top">ant hak (anthak) <a href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/boxscorequick?leagueId=23530&amp;teamId=1&amp;scoringPeriodId=85&amp;seasonId=2012&amp;view=matchup&amp;version=quick">1624-1517

    I was hoping to win to make the playoffs; however winning to avoid relegation is more important and thats what maggots had to do this week. We both tried our guts out, both using all 5 acquisitions, and interestingly they were almost simultaneous all week long. More was on the line for maggots, and I would have felt quite bad beating him this week after he had had a few close losses during the season. I think it is fitting that he managed to avoid relegation, and the way that his team played this week, Im surprised that he was even close to relegation, finishing with the 2nd highest score this round. Top scorer for the game was Millsap (295 from 5!), but special mention should also go to Frye (250 from 5) - both from maggots; while the top scorer for my mob was Dudley (195 from 5).

    &nbsp;

    <a title="Kings of Karlos (Sean Minetti, Leigh Walles)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&amp;teamId=10&amp;seasonId=2012" target="_top">Kings of Karlos (karlos and lethal) v <a title="Too Seriouseses (Les Wales)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&amp;teamId=2&amp;seasonId=2012" target="_top">Too Seriouseses (walesy) <a href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/boxscorequick?leagueId=23530&amp;teamId=10&amp;scoringPeriodId=85&amp;seasonId=2012&amp;view=matchup&amp;version=quick">1578-1118

    After last weeks win, walesy had a slight chance of finishing outside the bottom two if he had a win here, but was up against it - coming up against the winner of the Too conference, and was flogged by over 450 points. Kings of Karlos didnt have a lot to play for, as they already had the bye locked in, but cruised through and now can enjoy another week off :mrgreen: . Top scorer was Durant (234 from 4) for KoK, and the best for the boss was Love (181 from 4).

    &nbsp;

    <a title="Wade Machine (Daniel Laengst)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&amp;teamId=15&amp;seasonId=2012" target="_top">Wade Machine (dabombers) v <a title="Jasmines Mob (Jasmine Johnson)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&amp;teamId=5&amp;seasonId=2012" target="_top">Jasmines Mob (jasmine) <a href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/boxscorequick?leagueId=23530&amp;teamId=15&amp;scoringPeriodId=85&amp;seasonId=2012&amp;view=matchup&amp;version=quick">1432-1534

    Both these teams finished the season in very different circumstances. Jasmine finished on a 5 game winning streak to go into the playoffs with the best form (streak wise) of all teams; whereas dabombers finished on a 5 game losing streak to drop down to 2nd last this week, making relegation extremely likely after winning the Championship just last year. I am surprised that dabombers only used 1 acquisition this week when so much was on the line; however he may have his eye on winning the consolation prize and avoiding relegation that way. The top scorer from this game was CP3 (276 from 5) for Jasmine, while the best for dabombers was Joe Johnson (210 from 4).

    &nbsp;

    <a title="Fudges Sixers (Jim Tsilikas)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&amp;teamId=16&amp;seasonId=2012" target="_top">Fudges Sixers (fudge) v <a title="Westside Hardcore (Michael Walters)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&amp;teamId=6&amp;seasonId=2012" target="_top">Westside Hardcore (mick) <a href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/boxscorequick?leagueId=23530&amp;teamId=16&amp;scoringPeriodId=85&amp;seasonId=2012&amp;view=matchup&amp;version=quick">1540-1708

    This match had so much riding on it for so many teams. If fudge won, it opened up 6th spot for himself and 2 other teams; however Mick just had to win to shore up the spot - and that he did, scoring the highest score in the league for this week. Mick has his team firing at the right time of the season and Jasmine must be worried going into the finals (although she is on a big winning streak of her own atm) - Chris88 certainly was,as seeing the way micka was closing out the week, prompted him to "ensure" that his team lost to make sure he didnt face WH in the first round of playoffs. Top scorer for the game was Bynum (265 from 4) for fudge, and the best for Mick was LeBron (254 from 4).

    &nbsp;

    <a title="Run TMC (Owen Beebe)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&amp;teamId=19&amp;seasonId=2012" target="_top">Run TMC (owen) v <a title="Robert Sarvers Handbag (Chris Riches, Steve Smith)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&amp;teamId=7&amp;seasonId=2012" target="_top">Robert Sarvers Handbag (chris88 and smittys07) <a href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/boxscorequick?leagueId=23530&amp;teamId=19&amp;scoringPeriodId=85&amp;seasonId=2012&amp;view=matchup&amp;version=quick">1342-1238

    Well, RSH got the result they hoped for, even though they would have lost, even if they hadnt have moved a few fit players to the bench on the final day, anyway. To be fair though, with a playoff spot wrapped up last week, RSH always had their eyes on next week and made roster moves accordingly right throughout this matchup. And now these two teams play each other again in the first week of the playoffs - I wonder if the result will be different this time around. Top scorer in this one was easily Wall (233 from 5) for Owen, and the best for RSH was Gooden (167 from 3).

    &nbsp;

    <a title="Ruddys Cavaliers (Peter Rudd)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&amp;teamId=20&amp;seasonId=2012" target="_top">Ruddys Cavaliers (ruddy) v <a title="Team HEAVER! (Dave Tong)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&amp;teamId=13&amp;seasonId=2012" target="_top">Team HEAVER! (heaver) <a href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/boxscorequick?leagueId=23530&amp;teamId=20&amp;scoringPeriodId=85&amp;seasonId=2012&amp;view=matchup&amp;version=quick">1527-1573

    Ruddy threw everything at HEAVER but just couldnt get there and finished in 7th spot. Leading into the final day, he made some big changes dropping 3 players to fill his roster with 10 that had games on, and if Pekovic hadnt have been a late withdrawal on the last day, then Ruddy might just have got the win he needed to make the playoffs. HEAVER on the other hand, had top spot wrapped up well before this round and he can now look forward to a week off. Top scoer  in this game was JSmoove (223 from 4) for HEAVER and the best for Ruddy was Wade (216 from 4).

    &nbsp;

    And this weeks playoff schedule is as follows:

    &nbsp;

    DIVISION 1 (by Steve):

    This will be my last write up for a few weeks as I am going on holidays to Cairns next week.  Richard (UA) will do the write up for next week.

    Congratulations to Liquid_Sixx for grabbing the last finals spot ahead of Stowie.  This now means the first week of the finals will look like this:

    Albert Park Rangers (bgt2110) v Get Knicked (Liquid_sixx)

    The Bucks Fizz (spm67) v Crossy’s Crusaders (Crossy)

    Both the Jug-O-Naughts (Fez) and Linsanity 17 (Steve) get the week off as a result of gaining top spot in their respective conferences.

    Fez will play the winner of The Bucks Fizz and Crossy’s Crusaders.

    Steve will play the winner of Albert Park Rangers v Get Knicked.

    &nbsp;

    Based on the final standings, it means that that the following teams will be relegated to Division Two next season:

    CK Nicks (Costak)

    NahlavLittleDee (Rodgo)

    Doobia Dominators (Doobs)

    Everton 149’ers (Rev)

    &nbsp;

    Onto the review of Round 11:

    Get Knicked (Liquid_Sixx)   1830   v   Linsanity 17 (Steve)   1609

    Get Knicked had to win this matchup and hope that Team Stowie would lose his match to make the finals.  As it turns out luck was with Get Knicked right throughout this matchup.  He had the luxury of CP3 playing 5 games this week and Stowie’s team also was decimated by injuries.  Get Knicked led the match against Linsanity 17 from start to finish and was never troubled in posting a very comfortable win.  Best players for Get Knicked were Millsap 295, CP3 276 and Jennings 159.   The best players for Linsanity 17 were Thornton 188,  Westbrook 176 and Gooden 167.

    &nbsp;

    The Bucks Fizz (spm67)   1474   v   NahlaVLittleDee (rodgo)   1440

    There was also a lot riding on this matchup for the Bucks Fizz because if they won they would get the 2nd qualifying spot for promotion to the Premier league unless someone else apart from Fez wins the grand final.   This was the closest match of the round in Division One and was in doubt until the very last match.   The leading scores for The Bucks Fizz were Humphries 186, Wright 158 and Anderson 157. The best for NahlaVLittleDee were Wade 216, Noah 183 and Pau Gasol 157.

    &nbsp;

    Everton 149er’s (Rev)   1627   v   Team Stowie (Stowie)   1256

    What can you say about Stowie this week?  He had no luck at all with D-Will and K Mart both injured for most of the matchup.  Having said that he still may not have been able to catch the Everton 149érs who posted their highest score for the year and only their second win of the season.  Well done Rev!! The best players for the Everton 149érs were Wall 233,  Joe Johnson 220 and Timmy Duncan 170.   The leading scorers for Stowie were Howard 181, Dragic 158 and Harris 142.

    &nbsp;

    The Jug-O-Naughts (Fez)   1738   v   Crossy’s Crusaders (Crossy)   1505

    Despite the continual sledging by Crossy, Fez was still able to put Crossy away by posting a comfortable victory.  I think Crossy was living more in hope of winning because he never really had a chance.   This meant that Fez went through the minor round undefeated which is a huge effort.  He has already been promoted to the Premier League and is the clear favourite to win the grand final as well.  The best players for Fez this week were Bynum 265, Lebron 254 and J Smoove 223.  The best for Crossy were Bayless 213, Griffin 178 and Robinson 145.

    &nbsp;

    Albert Park Rangers (bgt2110)    1387   v   Canuck Steelers (UA)   1358

    This was another close match in Division One where the Albert Park Rangers were able to get the win. Both teams were missing key players throughout the matchup through injury and other events.   The Steelers have not had much luck in the latter half of the season through injuries.  The best players for the Rangers were Dudley 195, Monroe 166 and Parker 134.  For the Steelers, the best players were Love 181, Nelson 171 and Hill 133.

    &nbsp;

    Doobia Dominators (Doobs)   1481   v   CK Nicks (Costak)   1362

    Doobs was able to score another win and led this match from start to finish.  By winning this match it also meant that Doobs did not win the wooden spoon due to the upset win by the Everton 149érs over Team Stowie earlier.   The leading scorers for Doob’s were Durant 234, Jack 161 and Rondo 158.  For the CK Nicks, the best players were Frye 250, Kobe 190 and Gee 138.   Costak will be better the experience next year with a full season under his belt.

    Good luck to everyone playing in the finals!

    DIVISION 2 (by smokinjoemisiti):

    Team Travysboys (travyboy11) – 1575 defeated SmokinJoe Misiti - 1463

    Interesting to point out, even though I am talking about myself haha, is that SmokinJoe Misiti scored the most total points for the season in this division. Somehow that only got me to a 6-5 record though. Trav was too good here in a close matchup. Channing Frye was the surprise packet as he top scored for Trav with 250 points for the week. Smokin got 233 from John Wall whilst Kevin Martin missed all 4 Houston games this matchup.

    &nbsp;

    Hawthorn OKC Magic (Cobra_Magic) – 1578 defeated Six Ten Two Forty (twoeyec) – 1255

    Andrew Bynum with 265 and Lebron James with 254 were the top scorers for Cobra this week, whilst Illyasova’s hot run was brought to a hault as he missed some time through illness. Cobra scored a massive 423 on the final day of play to pull out the win. Twoeyec had little to talk about this week with Chris Kaman the top scorer, getting 152 points.

    &nbsp;

    The Hinrich Manoeuvre (Don_Cottagers) – 1574 defeated Broady Broncos (nicksnow) – 1492

    Paul Millsap had a huge week scoring 295 points whilst Nate Robinson was a pleasant surprise, scoring 187 for Don. Jose Calderon missed the entire matchup. For Nick, Dwyane Wade scored 216, whilst Nene and Monta Ellis were involved in trades around the deadline.

    &nbsp;

    Team Farken White (Jet) – 1726 defeated Maxwells Marvels (maxweas) – 1616

    Max did everything he could to get the win here but unfortunately didn’t have luck on his side with injuries and the fact that Jet pulled out a very impressive score. Jet’s top performer was actually Rodney Stuckey with 199, who has been in great form of late. Max had Joe Johnson score 210 but it was the injuries to Derrick Rose and Pekovic in particular that were costly.

    &nbsp;

    Cyril33s Crushers (hawker) – 1520 defeated Team 726 (minis) – 1143

    Chris Paul top scored for Hawker with 276 whilst josh Smith was also particularly good with 223. Minis got 192 from Tony Parker whilst Aldridge was disappointing. Gerald Wallace was involved in a trade so it will be interesting to see how that works out. Kevin Love missed a game through injury, whereas Andrea Bargnani was inconsistent in his return.

    &nbsp;

    Dropping Bombs (brettmarinovich) – 1363 defeated Team Ring Ticklers (joellamerton) – 1357

    Safe to say this was the matchup of the round!! Kevin Durant and Rudy Gay did enough on the final day for Brett to get over the line, whilst Chandler Parsons and Gordon Haywood strung just 2 points together on the final day. Durant scored 234 and top scored for Brett whilst Kris Humphries led Joel with 186.
