Now that Dwight Howard has scored 94 in a game and is officially off the table according to Dabombers, I can be a bit more open about my thoughts about him. Truth is, I would have drafted him with pick #2 if I hadve had it, but i didnt. I had pick #9 and I was really hoping that he would fall to there, but I realistically didnt think it was possible, so I threw out trade offers left right and centre trying to upgrade my first pick, including a last ditch attempt that tempted Dabombers to swap 1st round picks the day before the draft (there was also an upgrade of a 12th round to a 6th round in it for him - or something like that)... But i couldnt get a deal done, and then I had to stick to hoping and hurry up and wait for my 1st pick to come around. I was getting so nervous when Howard was still available with only Dabombers to pick before me - and then the rest is obvious... he was snapped up and I missed him. Before the season, I actually thought Howard could have ended up our highest scoring player this season, but I would never have taken that risk in the draft if I had #1 pick. I do not think that anymore, as LeBron has started off brilliantly; and Howard has been a little slow out of the blocks... But I still reckon Howard will be one of the top 3 players come the end of the season. Ever since the day after the draft, I have been proposing trades to Dabombers to try and get him, and I even sent a solidarity email to Crossy who drafted Howard at #3 in Div1. Even though I think we may have been relatively close at times, I dont think we ever really got close in Dabombers mind as he obviously rated Howard really highly as well. A lot hinges on his FT shooting - if he can manage to improve it a bit, then he will easily be the best under our scoring... But thats a BIG if. There are rumours every pre season that Howard has been working on his FT shooting and he is improving, but it never actually pans out that way. As it stands, under our scoring this year, he currently has the 7th best average in the league. The top 10 are as follows: <a href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/freeagency?leagueId=23530&amp;teamId=1">LeBron James 64.7, <a href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/freeagency?leagueId=23530&amp;teamId=1">Kevin Love 56.7, <a href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/freeagency?leagueId=23530&amp;teamId=1">Kyle Lowry 53.3, <a href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/freeagency?leagueId=23530&amp;teamId=1">Kobe Bryant 53, <a href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/freeagency?leagueId=23530&amp;teamId=1">Chris Paul 51.7, <a href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/freeagency?leagueId=23530&amp;teamId=1">Kevin Durant 49.8, <a href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/freeagency?leagueId=23530&amp;teamId=1">Dwight Howard 49.1, <a href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/freeagency?leagueId=23530&amp;teamId=1">Derrick Rose 48.3, <a href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/freeagency?leagueId=23530&amp;teamId=1">Marc Gasol 45 &amp; <a href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/freeagency?leagueId=23530&amp;teamId=1">Carmelo Anthony 44.9. So the much maligned LeBron James is by far and away the best so far this season under our scoring, Love is also keeping up a healthy average; but there is not much really between Lowry at 3 and Rose who is 8th. While Im discussing the scoring, FWIW, I reckon its much better this year than last.

    We have now completed 3 rounds of our fantasy leagues and there are only 6 teams out of the 36 that are still undefeated, and there are also 6 teams still waiting for their first win. <a title="Team HEAVER! (Dave Tong)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&amp;teamId=13&amp;seasonId=2012" target="_top">Team HEAVER! coached by none other than Heaver himself, scored the highest score of the round with a massive 1782 in Premier division - and to put that into perspective, there were only 5 teams that scored over 1600. The Lowest score was by <a title="Hawthorn OKC Magic (james guley)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=10201&amp;teamId=12&amp;seasonId=2012" target="_top">Hawthorn OKC Magic coached by Cobra_Magic in Division 2 with just 979 and he was absolutely thumped by one of only 3 teams that scored 1700+. Sorry to rub it in mate, but that is a news worthy margin! The smallest margin was in Premier League between <a title="ant hak (Anthony Hack)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&amp;teamId=1&amp;seasonId=2012" target="_top">ant hak (anthak) and <a title="Westside Hardcore (Michael Walters)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&amp;teamId=6&amp;seasonId=2012" target="_top">Westside Hardcore (mick) with the difference just 45 points. While the title of highest scoring loser this week went to <a title="The Bucks Fizz (Steve Morris)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=10094&amp;teamId=7&amp;seasonId=2012" target="_top">The Bucks Fizz coached by spm67 in Division 1 with a score of 1519 - which only just topped the 1512 posted in a Premier League loss by <a title="Jasmines Mob (Jasmine Johnson)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&amp;teamId=5&amp;seasonId=2012" target="_top">Jasmines Mob (Jasmine) against last weeks highest scoring loser.

    Now, once again, over the break will be the review for each individual league. I will write the Premier League review, Steve the Division 1 review and smokinjoemisiti will write the review for Division 2:::::::

    PREMIER LEAGUE (by anthak)

    <a title="Kings of Karlos (Sean Minetti, Leigh Walles)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&amp;teamId=10&amp;seasonId=2012" target="_top">Kings of Karlos (karlos &amp; Lethal) 1400 v <a title="Run TMC (Owen Beebe)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&amp;teamId=19&amp;seasonId=2012" target="_top">Run TMC (Owen) 1298

    This match was so close, with only 8 points in it with a day to go. Im pretty sure i remember Karlos conceding defeat with a couple of day sto go, which is a bit strange now that they ended up winning - I may be wrong though. The only injury that would have really worried either team was that of Horfords for KoK, and as Chris88 pointed out during the week, it was fitting that they were able to replace him with Zaza before anyone else got to him. Best players for KoK were Duncan (188 from 4) and Durant (177 from 3); while for Run TMC, the best were Lou Williams (140 from 5) and GWallace (139 from 4).

    &nbsp;

    <a title="Ruddys Cavaliers (Peter Rudd)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&amp;teamId=20&amp;seasonId=2012" target="_top">Ruddys Cavaliers (Ruddy) 1535 v <a title="Fudges Sixers (Jim Tsilikas)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&amp;teamId=16&amp;seasonId=2012" target="_top">Fudges Sixers (fudge) 1477

    Gee Fudge seemed to throw everything at Ruddy near the end, hoping for a big comeback, but it wasnt to be. Fudge picked up a couple of FAs for the final day and had 5 players to Ruddys 2 on that day, and caught up a bit and only went down by 60 odd points in the end. Fudge is still winless, and if anyone remembers last season, he lost his first 5 games and then ended up making the finals - so its not over yet. Best players were Bryant (296 from 4!) and Rubio (208 from 4) for Ruddy; and Lee (215 from 4) and Westbrook (159 from 3!) for Fudge.

    <a title="Adelaide Maggotz (Cameron Sears)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&amp;teamId=21&amp;seasonId=2012" target="_top">Adelaide Maggotz (maggots) 1409 v <a title="Wade Machine (Daniel Laengst)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&amp;teamId=15&amp;seasonId=2012" target="_top">Wade Machine (dabombers) 1234

    Last years champion has started off a little shaky this season with another loss this week. Having Howard only playing 2 games did not help, and a few other players missed games through injury as well; whereas maggots had close to a full bill of health. Maggots was also held in good stead by his inspired choice of Lowry in the draft who has lit up the comp so far and this matchup was no exception as he was the top scorer with 222 from his 4 games. Maggots also had another player close to 200 with Millsap scoring 197 from 4 games; whereas the top scorer for DaBombers was Joe Johnson with 169 from 4, and TChandler was next in line with 143 from 4.

    &nbsp;

    <a title="ant hak (Anthony Hack)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&amp;teamId=1&amp;seasonId=2012" target="_top">ant hak (anthak) 1314 v <a title="Westside Hardcore (Michael Walters)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&amp;teamId=6&amp;seasonId=2012" target="_top">Westside Hardcore (Mick) 1269

    I didnt give myself much chance in this game as I knew I would be well behind the 8 ball in terms of games played, and ended up 7 behind in that regard. We both had our fair share of injuries, and we both utilised all 5 of our acquisitions, which was demonstrated by myself having 3 players that were brought in for just 1 game each and Mick having 5 players do that same thing. I was stoked with my pickup of Kemba Walker who came in and scored 58 in his only game for me. Heaver and I had been discussing trades that involved him, and I was surprised to see him on waivers - I cautiously waited until he was a FA and then snapped him up. Top scorers for ant hak were Gallinari (162 from 4) and Nate Robinson (141 from 4), while for Mick they were LeBron (162 from 3) and McGee (153 from 4).

    <a title="Robert Sarvers Handbag (Chris Riches, Steve Smith)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&amp;teamId=7&amp;seasonId=2012" target="_top">Robert Sarvers Handbag (chris88 &amp; smittys07) 1567 v <a title="Jasmines Mob (Jasmine Johnson)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&amp;teamId=5&amp;seasonId=2012" target="_top">Jasmines Mob (Jasmine) 1512

    RSH have broken through for their first W after two hard fought losses to open the season. In fact this was no less hard fought with all three of RSHs games being high scoring affairs. This was interesting too, in that RSH opened up a decent lead of 151 points after day 2, and then lost each of the remaining days but managed to hold Jasmine at bay, winning by 55 points in the end. Best players for RSH were Iggy (197 from 5) and Al Jeff (182 from 4), and for Jasmines Mob they were CP3 (179 from 3) and Parker (166 from 4) while the steal machine Jeff Teague should also get a mention too (165 from 4).

    <a title="Team HEAVER! (Dave Tong)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&amp;teamId=13&amp;seasonId=2012" target="_top">Team HEAVER! (HEAVER) 1782 v <a title="Too Seriouseses (Les Wales)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&amp;teamId=2&amp;seasonId=2012" target="_top">Too Seriouseses (walesy) 1286

    As mentioned above, Team HEAVER! scored the highest score this round across all 3 leagues and Walesy was the unlucky one to come up against  it. After Westside Hardcores loss, Heaver is sitting atop the "Serious" Division all on his lonesome, so is on track to defend his Division crown from last season. He is waaaaay ahead in 1st place on the Points For ladder as well - more than 500 points above 2nd place. He was well in control of this matchup too, only losing 1 day (day 2) and that was only a single figure margin. Top scorers for Heaver were Monroe (245 from 5) and Rose (223 from 4), and for Walesy they were Love (205 from 4) and Deng (173 from 5).

    &nbsp;

    DIVISION 1 (By Steve)

    &nbsp;

    During this round we made a very important decision whereby the ownership of Sainter’s team was taken over by Rodgo.  This decision was not made lightly and was in the interest of all teams in Division 1.

    Team Stowie (Stowie)   1471  v   Stevo’s Nuggets (Steve)   1278

    Stowie was able to record a comfortable victory overy the Nuggets.  Both teams were missing key players throughout the week but Stowie was too consistent right throughout the matchup. I used all of my player acquisitions during the week but was still unable to get close to Stowie.  The best players for Stowie were Iggy 197, D Williams 172 and Thad Young on 139.  For the Nuggets, Westbrook led the way with 159, Wallace 139 and Felton 138.

    Canuck Steelers (Underachivers)   1536   v   Doobia Dominator’s (Doobs)   1242

    The Steelers were able to make it 3 from 3 and are off to a great start in Div 1.  After a slow start to the matchup, the Steelers were able to increase their margin over the last 4 days of the matchup.  The best players for the Steelers this week were Lowry 222 (he has been the steal of the draft so far), K Love 205 and Gallinari 162.  For the Dominator’s, Durant was the highest scorer with 177 followed by Jack 142 and Amir Johnson on 119.

    The Jug O Naughts (Fez)   1432   v   Nahla vs LittleDee  (Rodgo)   1018

    Fez was able to go through the motions this week as Rodgo had not taken over this team until the Sunday of the matchup.   Rodgo has already starting making moves to this team by dropping guys to the FA list and sending out various trade proposals.  So it will be interesting to see what he comes up for the start of Round 4.  The Jug O Naughts received a very even spread of scores this week with Lebron finishing on 162, Tyreke Evans 152 and Bynum on 154.  The Jug O Naughts are another team who are on fire at the start of the season and sit at 3-0.

    Albert Park Rangers (bgt2110)   1609   v   The Bucks Fizz   (spm 67)   1516

    This was the closest match of round 3 in Division 1 and the Bucks Fizz can count themselves very unlucky to run into the Rangers as they scored the 3rd highest score for the round but still lost.  The Rangers scored the highest score for the round in Division 1 and are now sitting at 3-0. The best players for the Rangers were Monroe 245, Lee 220 and Teague on 165.  Bucks Fizz received good scores from Rubio 208, McGee 153 and Marc Gasol on 151.

    Crossy’s Crusaders  (Crossy)   1488   v    Get Knicked (Liquid_Sixx)   1334

    This was another close for most of the round and both teams were hitting the free agent list to gain the upper hand.  The 3rd last day of round proved to be the decisive factor where Crossy was able to outscore Get Knicked by over 300pts on this day. The best players for Crossy were Aldridge 193, Deng 173 and Parker 166.  For Get Knicked, they relied upon Millsap 197, CP3 179 and Chandler 143.  Get Knicked was unluckly in the fact the Clippers only played 2 games in round 3 and would have made the match very competitive if CP3 was able to play a few more games.

    CK Nicks (Costak)   1542   v   Everton 149érs   (Rev)   1331

    The Nicks must have been very pleased with the scores made by Kobe during this round.  Kobe finished with 296 pts which went a huge way towards winning the match.   The other best players for the Nicks this round were Rose 223 and Brand 155.  The best players for the Everton 149érs were Timmy Duncan on 188, Joe Johnson 169 and Walker 127.  The Nicks are now sitting at 2-1 while the Everton 149érs are still searching for their first win of the season.

    DIVISION 2 (by smokinjoemisiti)

    SmokinJoe Misiti (smokinjoemisiti) – 1428 defeated Team Ring Ticklers (joellamerton) – 1284

    &nbsp;

    Smokin got the win here with help from David Lee who scored 215 points from his 4 games, whilst Dwight Howard broke a free throw attempts record and finished with 94 fantasy points against Golden State. Howard did however only play 2 games for the week. Joel’s top scorer was Marc Gasol with 151 points from 3 games.

    &nbsp;

    Team 726 (minis) – 1713 defeated The Hinrich Manoeuvre (Don_Cottagers) – 1325

    &nbsp;

    Minis continued their impressive form and remain the only undefeated team in Division 2. Kyle Lowry continued his amazing season with 222 points, whilst Kevin Love had 205 and LaMarcus Aldridge had 193. Minis also had the disadvantage of Bargnani being injured and missing 3 games. Don had good production from Utah Jazz duo Paul Milsap (197) and Al Jefferson (182), but Team 726 was far too good.

    &nbsp;

    Maxwell’s Marvels (maxweas) – 1737 defeated Hawthorn OKC Magic (Cobra_Magic) – 979

    &nbsp;

    This matchup was extremely one sided with Max taking full advantage of Kobe Bryant’s scoring run, with him recording 296 from just 4 games. Also had Derrick Rose score 223, even after missing a game. Cobra, still without Eric Gordon, had just 4 players score in triple figures, led by Lebron’s 162.

    &nbsp;

    Team Travysboys (travyboy11) – 1323 defeated Six Ten Two Forty (twoeyec) - 1078

    &nbsp;

    Low scoring affair here but it was Trav who got over the line. Luol Deng top scored with 176 points whilst a low scoring week from Stoudemire and Steve Nash missing a game, did not help his score. Twoeyec had just 3 players score over 100, led by Deron Williams’ 172, whilst Michael Beasley and Andre Bogut missed games.

    &nbsp;

    Team Farken White (jet) – 1372 defeated Cyril33s Crushers (hawker) – 1273

    &nbsp;

    The closest matchup of the round. Jet had a good week from Marcin Gortat who top scored with 171, whilst he may have got a bit nervous when Carmelo Anthony missed a game towards the end of the week. Hawker had Chris Paul score 179 points in just 3 games, but only had 3 other players score 100 or more. Importantly Hawker has injury concerns with Al Horford out indefinitely, and also Chris Paul under a question mark with a sore hamstring.

    &nbsp;

    Broady Broncos (nicksnow) – 1615 defeated Dropping Bombs (brettmarinovich) – 1254

    &nbsp;

    Nick had a massive week from Greg Monroe who had 245 points from his 5 games, and Danilo Gallinari was solid with 162. Whilst Nick did get the win this week, he now has a major injury issue with Dwyane Wade’s playing timetable unsure. Brett had another good week from Kevin Durant who scored 177 in just 3 games but there wasn’t much else to get excited about.
