Well the end of our 2012 NFL fantasy season has come to an end with championship games across all leagues decided last week. Thanks to everyone for making the leagues as competitive as they were and for the spirit in which it was played. Please join Stowie and myself as we review the championship games in the Keeper League and League 1. If anyone from league 2 wants to provide a rundown on the result in that league then please do.

THE KEEPER LEAGUE (review by bgt2110)

Waito’s Warriors (302) defeated Welcome Back Mr Wallace (214)

A dominant display over two weeks saw Waito win the inaugural keeper league championship in a well deserved win. To score 136 points in week 1 and then back it up a week later to score another 166 highlights the strength of Waito’s team with high scoring players across all lines. Calvin Johnson’s 20 points in week one also saw him seal the record for most receiving yards in a single season while Alfred Morris scored 16 in week 1 and another 39 in week 2 to cement his place as probably the best RB to come out of the 2012 draft. He also set the record for most yards by a Washington RB in a single game with his efforts in week 2. With Demaryius Thomas dominating all season, he followed it up in our fantasy playoffs by scoring 16 points in week 1 and another 18 in week 2. Michael Crabtree sealed the deal for the Warriors by getting his highest score for the year with a 29 in week 2, an inspired pick in the flex position to replace Steven Jackson who was up against a strong Seahawks d/st.

Mr Wallace has certainly found a keeper QB in Russell Wilson who was the highest scorer across both weeks combining for 47 points while CJ Spiller backed up his 16 points in week 1 with another 16 in week 2. Jimmy Graham was quiet in week 1 but backed up in week 2 for 17 points while Reggie Wayne couldn’t match his 14 points in week 1, only managing the 4 in week 2. The inconsistency in scoring going a long way in explaining the end result that saw Waito finish 88 point victors.

Congratulations to both teams for reaching the championship game and to everyone else my thanks for competing as hard as you all did and for the friendly way you did it. See you all again in 2013 !!

    LEAGUE 1 (review by Stowie)

Before I recap the Championship Matchup between Vick's Dog Fighters and Jimbos Juggernaut, let me thank you all for participating and staying active all season keeping the league competitive and fun!

#2 Vick’s Dog Fighters (Fez) 200 def by #1 Jimbos Juggernaut (jimbowan) 203

It was the battle between #1 and #2 that we all wanted, Vick’s Dog Fighters had the first overall pick, with Jimbos Juggernaut drafting last (#10) but they proved to be the two strongest teams over the season. Jimbos Juggernaut held a 16 point lead after one week and were able to extend it with rookie RB Alfred Morris (39fpts) saving his best performance for the final and proved to be a genius pickup from the waivers by Jimbos Juggernaut. Other players in double figures for the final week were TE Jimmy Graham (17fpts), RB Spiller (17fpts) and Matt Stafford (16fpts). Vick’s Dog Fighters will be cursing #1 pick Arian Foster (17fpts) who failed to score in the first week after leaving the game due to injury. Leading the scoring in the second week were Manning (24fpts), RB Foster (17fpts) and WR Andre Johnson (14fpts).

CONGRATULATIONS jimbowan as Jimbos Juggernaut take out the championship!
