With only 1 round to go in the keeper league before the playoffs and around 3 to go in the other leagues playoff spots are up for grabs and each week is more important than the last. Week 10 saw a number of QBs go down with what could be serious injuries. It is one of the closest seasons in memory with no real favourite staking a claim for outright favouratism. Atlanta suffered their first loss, New Orleans are now on a winning streak, the 49ers lost their QB to a concussion, same with the Bears. Perhaps my Texans are now the favourites, we shall see over the coming month. Join myself and Stowie with the results of week 10.

THE KEEPER LEAGUE (REVIEW BY bgt2110)
Welcome Back Mr Wallace(148) def Rigil Kentaurus(114)
In a high scoring game Mr. Wallace prevailed by 34 ftps thanks mainly to Jimmy Graham(26) returning to the type of form he showed last year, now over his ankle injury and the Saints on a winning streak some high scoring games should follow. The Cowboys d/st(23) knocked Vick out of the eagles lineup and knocked out any hope of Rigil getting the win. For Rigil, Stafford(24) is hitting some late season form while Torrey Smith(18) has been good all year. Special mention to Danny Woodhead(17), if he doesn’t get a mention this week he might never get one .
Welcome Back Mr Wallace 6-4 and Rigil Kentaurus 3-7
Billy Bass(131) def The Jug-O-Naughts(113)
Another high scoring entertaining match up saw Billy’s score prove just a little too much for the Jugs to overcome in an almost must win game for Billy to keep his playoff hopes alive. The Bronco’s d/st(28) were huge while Dalton(23) and Bradford(19) look like steering the QB positions for Billy for years to come. Blair Walsh(15) was also instrumental in getting Billy over the line. The Jugs could have pulled a game clear of Billy but let the opportunity slip, they were still more than competitive thanks to Ryan(26), Peterson(25), Sidney Rice(17) and Brady(17), all great players who continue to put up big points each week.
Billy Bass 6-4 and The Jug-O-Naughts 6-4.
Waito’s Warriors(128) def Brady’s Bunch(65)
For mine Waito has moved into Superbowl favouritism on the back of another belting of the opposition, this time it was the Bunch who had no answers for the Warriors even spread of all round scorers. This time it was Calvin Johnson(24) and Rivers(21) who stood out but another 6 starters of the Warriors line up all scored around 12 or more points. The only dark shadow hanging over the Warriors is the severity of Roethlisberger’s shoulder injury as there is no reserve starting QB currently on the Warriors line up. The Bunch struggled for points this week but old timer Gonzalez(24) never slows down and was great in a losing outfit, Rice(12) hit double figures but Alex Smith(6) was one of a number of QB’s to be injured this week.
Waito’s Warriors 7-3 and Brady’s Bunch 3-7.
Canton Bullldogs(96) def Jimbo’s Juggernaut(95)
In the match of the round it was Canton who just snuck over the line against Jimbo who must be ruing an unlucky season where close losses have cost him any opportunity of playoff action in the inaugural first season of the keeper league. Canton can thank the huge effort of Flacco(29) for the
win while Lynch(18) and Denarius Moore(15) stood up when needed most. Jimbo’s decision to field Hernandez(0) proved costly but on the positive side Luck(18) is going to be a champion in the coming years while Charles(16) can only get better with confidence in his knee and Romo(16) was good for his usual dozen or so points.
Canton Bullldogs 7-3 and Jimbo’s Juggernaut 3-7.
Team Stowie(96) def Canuck Warriors(65)
Team Stowie lead from start to finish in this important matchup and will be thrilled to get the win over a sinking Canuck outfit who have now lost 3 in a row and are in danger of missing the playoffs altogether if they can’t rebound next week. Team Stowie was lead in the scoring by Freeman(16) who is having a great second half to the season after a slow start while Newton(13) and Malcolm Floyd(12) had solid contributions. It was a handy pick up of Suisham(10) who rounded the scoring off nicely. Canuck’s fortunes follow Eli Manning(2) who has had a miserable few weeks and with RG3 on the bye poor old Sanchez(0) couldn’t muster a single point. Foster(17) and Ridley(15) were the only ones to stand tall. As mentioned earlier Canuck will be playing for their season in a must win final round of the season next week.
Team Stowie 7-3 and Canuck Warriors 6-4.
Team Simonoz(91) def Candlestick 49’ers(54)
In a battle for pride alone it was the guys from Team Simonoz who saluted nicely and came away with a comfortable win against the 49’ers who will be looking to rebuild next year. Team Simonoz will be pleased with Ponder’s(17) efforts this season as he has been the top scorer most weeks for the team and can only get better from here on in. The seahawks d/st(15) are one of the best special teams in the league while Bryant(14) has had an up and down season but a big last couple of weeks. For the 49’ers it was Brees(21) who added respectability to the score whilst it was unfortunate that Turner(1), Schaub(3), Decker(1) and Vernon Davis(3) could only manage 8 ftps between them, all have the ability to reach double figures most weeks.
Team Simonoz 4-6 and Candlestick 49’ers 2-8
