    LEAGUE 1 (Review by Stowie)

    PLAYOFFS MATCHUPS - WEEK 2

#3 Show Me Ya TD's (wateman) 162 def by #2 Vick's Dog Fighters (Fez) 243

Vick's Dog Fighters showed no mercy, extending their lead in the second week and destroying Show Me Ya TD's. All but one player hit double figures led by the Bengals D/ST (24fpts), WR Andre Johnson (21fpts) and RB Marshawn Lynch (18fpts). For Show Me Ya TD's Brady (24ftps), RB Richardson (14fpts) and WR Green (11fpts) put up a fight but the rest were disappointing.

#4 Lilydale Leather Heads (bgt) 182 def by #1 Jimbos Juggernaut (jimbowan) 200

Despite taking the foot of the accelerator, Jimbos Juggernaut held on for a win which will see the top two sides during the year playoff for the title. It was RB pair Morris (20ftps) and Spiller (16fpts) with the Seahawks D/ST (16fpts) providing solid scores. For Lilydale Leather Heads, Brees (29fpts), Janikowski (19fpts) and the Texans D/ST (18fpts) leading the comeback charge but a horrid effort from Cruz (1fpts) and his New York Football Giants teammates snuffed out any chance of a comeback.

So there you have it, the teams that finished #1 and #2 will fight it out over the next two weeks for the crown!

THE KEEPER LEAGUE (Review by bgt2110)

    #6 Welcome Back Mr Wallace(238) def #2 Canton Bullldogs(222)

In a complete form reversal from week 1 of this matchup Mr Wallace was able to overcome the 30 point deficit and knock out a huge 143 points to reach the inaugural Keeper League Grand Final with a 16 point win. Mr Wallace made all the right decisions in terms of on field personnel this week and was rewarded with some huge scores. Russell Wilson(39) turned around his disappointing 8 point score last week while the Titans d/st(19) was an inspired pick. When CJ2K(18) ran down the length of the field for a huge 94 yard TD i could almost feel Canton’s pain and Mr Wallace’s jubilation as despite much frustration this season it was the run that sealed the fate for this match up. CJ Spiller(16) was impressive while Green-Ellis(16) set the scene during the early Thursday night game. Canton haven’t done anything wrong all season and this matchup was no different with impressive scores from Lynch (18), Flacco(14), P Manning(12) and Forte(12). Mr Wallace just proved too good in the end and continue on their winning ways with 4 in a row.

Well done on a great season Canton and congratulations Mr Wallace on reaching next weeks grand final. Good Luck.

    #5 Waito’s Warriors(222) def #1 Team Stowie(219)

A nail biter saw Waito turn around an 18 point deficit from last week to sneak in against a Team Stowie outfit that would be disappointed to lose but proud of the fact they finished the number 1 seed heading into the playoffs. The result hinged on MNF and one man in particular, Shonn Greene(6) who needed just an extra 30 yards for the game but couldn’t quite manage it in a disappointing Jets offence. The Warriors were able to get the win and join Mr Wallace in the inaugural grand final largely on the back of efforts from Morris(20) who has been a revelation this season in a redskins outfit that have had their best season in years. Roethlisberger(19) did all he could while Shayne Graham(17) was an excellent choice for kicker. Trent Richardson(14) rounded off the scoring but is in a race with Steven Jackson(14) for that final RB spot for the Warriors. In such a close contest Cam Newton(17) and Moreno(17) stood up for Team Stowie while Josh Freeman(1), Garcon(6), and the previous mentioned Shonn Greene could have turned the result Stowie’s way with just a little bit more output. Waito has a depth of talent unmatched in the league and needed every last point to get the win in an exciting finish.

Well done on a great season Team Stowie and congratulations Waito on reaching next weeks grand final. Good Luck.

    Consolation finals

    #4 The Jug-O-Naughts(247) def #3 Billy Bass(206)

    #10 Jimbo’s Juggernaut(186) def #7 Canuck Warriors(135)

    #8 Team Simonoz(249) def #11 Rigil Kentaurus(193)

    #9 Candlestick 49’ers(178) def #12 Brady’s Bunch(156)
