TS-Swans/Bloods League 2012

OK guys/gals/indeterminates, this is what this is all about... the TS Super leagues

If there are any die hard Fitzroy or South Melbourne Swans Supporters out there who want to be in a league of people sharing common interests, let me know by throwing your name on here

Did you dream of droping them from the centre square at the Junction Oval like Bernie Quinlan?
Maybe you have a tilt like Rod Carter (who can lay claim to fame of playing for both sides!)

I think it was originally for the older clubs, however I am happy to debate and open it to a Brisbane/Sydney link if people feel that would make it easier to fill 16-18 spots.

How about we start with Fitzroy/South Melbourne die hards, and take EOI on a first come first served basis for Sydney/Brisbane supporters if numbers are low (which I expect them to be)

 

Well bandit, nice idea, but not exactly the original concept. The blood line runs from South Melbourne to the Swans and from Fitzroy to the Lions.

From my cruising of the Forum, I thought it fairly obvious that there are enough Bloods/Swans supporters on here to form their own league, much along the lines of Quantum's thinking.

It is not apparent at this stage that there is enough to form a Brisbane league, or even a Roys/Lions league. So we were adopting a wait and see on how some of the others go first before venturing into a Brisbane league.

And, apart from age, I can't see why there would be a lot of love between Bloods and Roys supporters. I mean, you could equally dance up and down about the good old Footerscray, but most seem to have accepted the reality of the Doggies and moved on.

Perhaps the best way out of this imbroglio is for you to start up a Roys (and Bloods if you insist) League as a new topic and leave this thread for the Swans? Pretty sure there will be ample amongst the Swans supporters to run the admin.

I made a comment in the super leagues thread that said "I am in... awesome idea

How about another league for those of us that supported Fitzroy and South Melbourne, who are now devoid of a team to support (still to this day can't bring myself to support the Lions)"

KissKiss then made a comment a little later in the same thread

"Id love to jump in on the old Fitzroy/South Melbourne team though i doubt there are that many of us around"

Kel added a third, I said if there was enough people to run it then I would happily admin it although I doubted if there were enough people interested, and lo and behold this thread was created!

happy for anyone to run it how they want... I put my hand up to run a 'forgotten club' league as that is where my allgiance lies, so guess we better find a new admin for the Swans league as will add no value to it... so I'll gracefully exit stage left

 

Think you have hit the nail on the head bandit:

and leave this one for the Swanees?
No reason e.g., Sydney supporters can't be in both the Swans league and the Forgotten league.
