Yeeha! Into the top 1000!!

Awesome Donors!

We scored 2,366 in Round 22. Which was good enough to move us up almost 300 places to, the new pb ranking of, 864th!! Our bench selections were as good as could be expected, and our cap choice was almost spot on.

We could have done slightly better with bench selections, but we would never have been bold enough to start Puopolo over Broughton, or Prestia over Pavlich, so we cant be too critical there. And our captains choice of Ablett was a great decision, as he was our 3rd best player this week, and we would have been unlikely to choose Boyd or Mummy as cap; and it should also be noted that our VC - Swan - was our next highest scorer too.

We won one league match and lost one too... which means we are in 3 prelims this week. The loss was by 25 points to Gnewitt - coach of the Cunning Linguists - who was up for a bit of banter in <a href="http://tooserious.net/ucantbetooserious-%E2%80%93-donor-team-round-21#comments" target="_blank">last weeks thread[/url] which was great! - Same cant be said of the result though

As mentioned earlier, we played two semi finals this week...

The aforementioned loss to the <a href="http://supercoach.heraldsun.com.au/?p=other_teams&amp;tid=230881&amp;lid=1">Cunning Linguists[/url] - 2366 to 2391 - in the TSstragglers league [ranked 214th], which bundled us out of the finals despite our top 3 ranking in total points.

and a win over <a href="http://supercoach.heraldsun.com.au/?p=other_teams&amp;tid=88571&amp;lid=1">NFFC[/url] - 2366 to 2253 - in a public league [ranked 3269th], which puts us up against <a href="http://supercoach.heraldsun.com.au/?p=other_teams&amp;tid=239559&amp;lid=1">Marky Mark Workout[/url] (coached by TS member Vic_Bitter) in the prelim.

We had the bye in two other leagues, but now obviously know our prelim opponents...

We are playing against the <a href="http://supercoach.heraldsun.com.au/?p=other_teams&amp;tid=101202&amp;lid=1">Swedish Vikings[/url] in the Stockholm Cup league [ranked 5124th].

And the big one! In the TooSerious Donors league [ranked 160th], we play <a href="http://supercoach.heraldsun.com.au/?p=other_teams&amp;tid=10255&amp;lid=1">The 22 Ronnies[/url] - if you are out there mate join us in some chat over the week/end.

So we look like we may scrape through the carnage alright this week. Still a bit nervous leading up to team selection, but I think we will end up with playing emergencies, so that will be good. Donors, head over to the usual spot and help us make the decisions for this week. We have been on a steady rise of late - Lets try to keep it going...
