Tossing up between a few players for the last spot on the pine, $200,000 avaliable i was thinking one of: Gaff, Conca, Bewick, Atley, Curnow, Fasolo, Libretorae and Wallis Just wondering if you have any ideas on these guys or another i havent mentioned (already have Harris & D.Swallow in the side) Cheers
Mate, you really gotta wait until teams are announced. All those guys have things going for them and against. It's really going to come down to the individual coaches opinions... Patience man!
At this stage, I'm going with Harris, Atley & Hibberd with Swallow & Polek on the field. Not many seem to be going for Polek.

Pittard may just be replacing Surjan. Maybe. Irons would be wonderful if he played, his bargain basement price allows flexibility elsewhere. Bewick looks the goods for me, however I think Atley is still a solid choice, especially with North's injuries.
Atley v Bewick sounds a good duel for a slot. I'd want Conca over Gaff but both are awkwardly priced given they'd need to find another 10-12 ppg than the previous two. Fasolo. Bugger all chance of getting a run early in the season if at all, despite looking a real talent. I'd suggest he is behind players like McCarthy, Dick, Rounds and even Sinclair in trying to snatch a first 22 spot. If Fasolo gets regular game time, it means the Pies have the worst injuries to a reigning premier since the Bombers of 1986.
If you have 200K spare, I'd go for Djerrkura, scores of 94 and 97 in the NAB and Eade has said he will be given chances at the dogs.
I would go Montags and Atley. Montags is a better SC player than Boyd, and Conca I'm not sold on. Have heard fitness issues, and his price is too high. he has been ear marked to start round 1 though. Wait for teams.
