I'm down to 5 trades and when I look back there has been heaps of unforced trades to Keepers I would love to have back. 1. Dempsey 2. Carrazzo 3. Fyfe 4. Sandi 5. McIntosh 6. Ablett out 7. Ablett in 8. Murphy 9. Zaharakis That is a fine list of Keepers.
I kept Ablett for 1 week after his injury, then traded him out. Picked him up again after Rd 7. Effectively two trades and he missed one week from my team. Is that dumb or dumbest?
Traded in Clancee Pearce for Porps after round 7. Cost me about $120K at the time. Since, Pearce has averaged 65 and lost $105K and Porps has averaged $76K and gained $20K and is now worth more than Pearce. Ridiculous trade in hindsight as I could've taken Stevie J. Also decided to trade out Dickson for Pfeiffer instead of Miles when neither were playing and Dickson got picked the next week (punched out a ton too) and played each game since. I could really use Pfeiffer's M/F link in my mids right now.
Porps to Clancee is hardly a season breaker. A waste maybe but they are like for like really, and neither are keepers.
Clancee was averaging 106 over the previous 6 weeks which was top 3 in the forwards hence why I did it. It clearly didn't work out hence why I wrote it up in this thread (and not the worst trade of the year thread) as it was a wasted trade. Not sure why I shouldn't have added it here jb.
We traded out Matthew Knights and picked up James Hird, Bomber Thompson, 30,000 extra members and a new training ground in the bush somewhere. It hasn't effected our ladder position but at least the members have stopped bagging the coach. And while Hirdy's there, the focus is off us. WooHoo, The Board Essendon FC Go Bombers
Broughton Fyfe Carrazzo Goodes Waters Traded in Waters, averaged mid 80's the 3 weeks I had him and then he got injured. Traded him out, believing him to be out for 3-5 weeks and then he comes back the next week and has averaged 106 ever since (boosted by the 146 he scored on the weekend) . WTF! I only need one more premium in the backline right now as well, makes the pain worse.
So trade him in again I traded Mumford, Fyfe & Zaharakis out, but resisted on Shaw, Swan, Pendlebury, Ablett, Goodes. Worked for me, now I'm gonna bring Fyfe in!
Porplyzia to Cloke after Cloke's bye was a waste...Porps has played far better and even though I got Cloke under 400k he has STILL lost me money. GWS better be the turning point in his form. Otherwise on the eve of finals I will be upgrading Dickson (he is 350k, Cloke 325k LOL) and Cloke will be relegated to the bench as 'general' cover.
