Gentlemen, obviously this season is a little unusual, and we're going to have to be as flexible as possible. With that in mind, what do we want to with the mid season draft and trade period this year? There's almost certainly not going to be byes this year, so do we want to: Do our normal MS stuff before footy starts again for round 2. Wait until we're halfway through the rounds then run our MS stuff in 5 days between rounds. Run our MS stuff across two weeks in the middle of the season, which will cross a round of footy. Ignore the MS entirely this year. Something else. These are just ideas that I'm throwing up to promote discussion, so discuss away and we'll come to a general consensus.
As I stated in the other thread, I'd like to see a Trade period and Draft period mid-season, across 2 weeks if possible.
Looks like the fixture will be released in the next 10 days. If there's a gap in the fixture then I like the idea of running it across 2 weeks.
I think we have to have a draft as coaches have traded into it, and to give the picks value, it needs to be after some more rounds have been played so coaches have a better idea of what’s in the pool. I agree with trading and drafting being across a two week period during the season.
Yep, I agree with the above. Half way through this season (whenever that is) and across 2 weeks, regardless of any byes. Who wants to trade?
Right now we're pretty split between running the MS over 5 days or 2 weeks (across a round of footy). There's also a few uncomfortable coaches sitting on the fence. There's even more coaches who are ghosts. MS will be somewhere around rounds 8-9-10 for your planning / scheduling.
Welcome back Coaches! Option 2 - with limited number of picks generally taken we can roll through the MSD within 3 days
