  1. You know its just as well I never held the line up too long. I’d hate to imagine Hornsy on Port Time. :D

Talking about HUN reports i can remember at this very time last year they interviewed Buddy and he was saying to jump on Rioli for SC, how he was the fittest he had ever been and would be spending a heap of time in the midfield. Come season time and i doubt Rioli spent any time in the middle. Saw an interview with Buddy the other day and he was sprouting the exact same thing about Rioli. Take everything this time of year with a grain of salt, headlines is what they are after.

So is everyone for 4 Emergencies, each with a nominated position? Rather, is anyone against this system?

  7. DPP should be allowed to cover either position!!

If you werent smart enough to draft them for added flexibility then its your own fault

Look, you got out voted 7 to 3. I’d consider the concession a win. ;)

So now you want a third bite too Thunda? Nah just kidding, I only have one DPP…

One emg each line gets my vote, as slightly but importantly different to 4 emg with nominated positions

  10. Lucas says:

Thunda, the issue is more when you have multiple coverage in one position, it’s a bugger to work out which one you get – really in SC terms you should get the lower scoring player.

It just involves more work for the admin, and as such, a lot easier to code up a sheet that would have an allocation for 4 emergencies.

BTW Hornsy, have you thought about using webforms for uploading squad selections? You could put positional information into drop down list boxes, then the information for each player could conceivably come in a spreadsheet per player.

Not sure how easy it would be to code up one to work for every player and just dump the results in a spreadsheet but of course that’s a desired approach.

Walesy, what’s your experience in this area?

    @Walesy

The I-Scent comp seems to have some legs on it, I’d be willing to wager that this year the majority of regular users will be in on that.

Could you maybe make it so anyone who uses the site can still enter but keep track of the donors involved and have an overall-like comp for them as well? Eg, record donors scores each week to have a champ either end of year or split it up into say a pre-bye block and a post-bye block to avoid people missing one week and stopping for the year.

Could mean more ad space for I-scent or whoever else as well.

Anyway, it may be a lot of work I’m not sure but hopefully worth thinking about anyway

    The TS I-Scent Championship!

Still interested in getting posts of provisional starting 15s from:

    Fez
    SCSS
    Bearfly
    Doobs
    Gumby

Unless I missed your post, in which case please let me know which page of this thread I need to go back to.

I will come up with a provisional starting 15 if required, to run some comparisons between ORFFL squads. But I’d much rather hear from the individual coaches.

Profile, and loss? iScent will all depend on whether we get them on board again! :)

As for knocking something up to assist in entering our teams, I reckon I’ll be able to work something out. Something along the lines of submitting your team, your emergencies for each line and bam, off it goes.

One question though, with our 4 emergencies, how do we choose which emergency covers for our missing interchange players?
