Matchup 4 finished Monday as usual, and matchup 5 is already under way. After 4 games, we still have 5 teams that are undefeated and 5 teams still waiting for their first success.  Out of all 36 teams, Heaver has scored the most points so far averaging 1664 per week, followed closely by fez and minis – in that order. Rodgo took over Sainters team at the end of last week and has made a few changes to the team and he should start to see the rewards soon. He was up against Steve this week and I need to fill you all in on a little back story that will help you when reading Steve’s Div2 review later. After I sent an email to the emergencies to see if they were hypothetically interested in taking over Sainter’s team, I sent the email to the Div2 LMs to show what was in it, but I added a line that I had not actually sent to the emergencies that read: “And you will have the easiest game of the season in matchup 4 if you decide to take over this team.”
But Steve had the last laugh with a W against the newly named Nahla Vs LittleDee.
Also want to point out that voting for the NBA All Star game closes in about a week, and you can place votes once a day. I reckon we should all be on there voting for Bogut each day… and maybe even Kyrie Irving?? What are your thoughts? If you want to place your vote, head over here and follow the steps.
Only 1 team broke the 1700 barrier this week and that was smokinjoemisiti with his team – SmokinJoe Misiti in Div2 – scoring a massive 1778, which was close to 100 points better than the next best, and almost 150 better than the next.  The lowest score for this week was 968 by CK Nicks in Div1, coached by Costak, who copped a few injuries – none bigger than Derrick Rose. We had a very tight game in Premier Division this week with Kings of Karlos (coached by karlos and lethal) beating Ruddy’s Cavaliers (coached by Ruddy) by just 5 points. And the highest scoring loser for Round 4 was easily Robert Sarver’s Handbag (coached by chris88 & Smittys07) who have the honour for the 2nd time this season already. Their score of 1562 was actually the 5th highest score out of all 36 teams! Its been talked about at length in the comments, but its worth mentioning again that they have had terrible luck this season so far, as they are going well – points wise – being ranked 2nd on the Premier League ‘points for’ ladder, but giving up the most points against – 480 more than 2nd – which has unfortunately translated to just the 1 win thus far. But its surely gotta change sooner or later if the high scores keep rolling in, so keep up the good work guys.
Now, same as usual, over the break will be the review for each individual league. I will write the Premier League review, Steve the Division 1 review and smokinjoemisiti will write the review for Division 2:::::::
PREMIER LEAGUE (by anthak)
Ruddy’s Cavaliers (Ruddy) 1298 v Kings of Karlos (Karlos and Lethal) 1303
KoK have had it a little easy thus far, having given away very few points thanks to their dogged D, but they were forced  to fight hard for their 4th win in this, the aforementioned, closest game of the round. It came right down to the last game of the week with Kobe Bryant failing in the last quarter of his game, when he was only single figures away from producing the W for Ruddy. He was still Ruddy’s best scorer for the week though with 189 from 4, and he was well supported by both Rubio (187 from 4) and Pierce (183 from 4); while for the victors, their best score was Durantula with 157 from 3 games in a great team performance.
Run TMC (Owen) 1361 v Adelaide Maggotz (Maggots) 1202
Saying KoK has had an easy run so far is not very fair when you look at the results of maggots who have the best D in the leage atm, giving up only 1268 ppg. Owen’s win in this one has brought these two teams level with 1 win a piece. Joh Wall had a massive week for Owen with 241 from 4, and best for Magoots was Lowry with 156 from 4.
Fudge’s Sixers (Fudge) 1276 v Wade Machine (Dabombers) 1523
Fudge has been trying hard to find the right combination, once again using all 5 acquisitions, compared to Dabombers who just used the 1 this matchup. But it was the settled lineup of Wade machine that prevailed with a comfortable win by 250 odd points. Best scorers for WM were DJordan (196 from 5) and JJohnson & Howard (both on 187 from 4); while for the 6ers it was Humphries (160 from 4) and Westbrook (153 from 3) doing most of the scoring.
Robert Sarver’s Handbag (Chris88 and Smittys07) 1562 v ant hak (anthak) 1634
This was easily the highest scoring game of the round. I do feel lucky to come away with the W against a much more consistent RSH, but Ill take it – and hope my mob can produce even better against the best scorer in Heaver this week. But back on topic, this game in matchup 4 really was a rip-snorter. My team just kept answering any challenge thrown at them, but I still thought RSH were a chance going into the last day. AH’s best scorer was Conley with 235 from 4; and best for RSH was Bosh with 182 from 4.
Westside Hardcore (Mick) 1449 v Team HEAVER! (Heaver) 1510
Only 60 points in it between 2 of the leagues heavy hitters. This win by Heaver was very impressive, posting a score above 1500 without Derrick Rose who missed the entire matchup through injury, and overall he had 4 less games played than Mick. But both teams are very balanced and look to be two of the teams to beat tjhis season. Heaver had 2 players score over 200 this week in MGasol (218 from 4) and Aldridge (205 from 4); whereas Micks top scorer – LeBron james – put in a HUGE total of 293 from 4.
Jasmine’s Mob (Jasmine) 1327 v Too Seriouseses (Walesy) 1266
Both these teams copped a fair few injuries this matchup, and it worked out pretty even, with Walesy finishing with 2 more games played than Jasmine. Walesy actually looked to have this one under control for most of the week, holding the lead right up until the final day! Jasmine outscored the TooSeriouseses on the last two days – 459 to 264 – to claw back the deficit, but it was really the final day where, despite Rondo and CP3 both missing for Jasmine, the 4 fit players for Jasmines Mob outscored the 4 players Walesy had suiting up by 82 points. Top scorer over the matchup for jasmine was Boozer (194 from 4), and he was supporter well by Parker (191 from 4); while the best for the TSes was Deng (191 from 4)
Here is the schedule for Matchup 5:

DIVISION 1 (By Steve)
This week saw a number of lopsided victories in Division One. The closest margin was 186 points between The Bucks Fizz and Get Knicked.
Stevo’s Nuggets (Steve) 1331 v Nahla vs Little Dee (Rodgo) 1104
Despite what some people thought (Anthak I am looking at you), I was able to record a comfortable win this week. This week was the first full week that Rodgo had taken over his team. Both teams were affected by injuries this week where I had a number of players miss games while Nahla was missing Wade for all of the match up. The best scorers for the Nuggets this week were Jordan 196, Carmelo 159 and Westbrook 156. For Nahla, Dalembert led the way with 170 followed by Pau Gasol 153 and Garnett 105.
Team Stowie (Stowie) 1405 v Doobia Dominator’s (Doobs) 1141
Stowie was able to make it 2 consecutive wins this week. Both teams made a number of changes to their line ups this week to see if they could improve their scores. But Team Stowie was the more consistent line up during the week and were able to run away with the win. The best scorers for Stowie were Conley 235, Griffin 171 and Deron Williams on 161. Once again Durant was the best for Doobs with 157 followed by Jack 148 and Billups 134.
The Jug O Naughts (Fez) 1689 v Canuck Steelers (UA) 1494
Fez how made it from 4 from 4 and his team is one of the early frontrunners in Division One. This match was going back and forth all week until the last 3 days where Fez was able to increase his lead. Once again both teams took full advantage of the FA list to see if they could gain an advantage. The best players for Fez were Lebron 293, Boozer 194 and J Smoove 173. For the Steelers, they were served best by Gallinari 179, Bosh 182 and Love 160.
The Bucks Fizz (spm67) 1488 v Get Knicked (Liquid Sixx) 1302
As mentioned before this was the closest match for round 4 in Division One. Day 3 of this round proved to be the turning point when the Bucks Fizz scored 479 pts for the day (which must be the record for a daily total) and Get Knicked could not recover from this. For the Fizz, the best players were Marc Gasol on 218, Rubio 187 and Anderson 185. For Get Knicked, the best players were Gay on 156, Millsap 144 and Kmart on 136. Get Knicked are still seeking their first win of season while The Bucks Fizz are now 3-1.
Albert Park Rangers (bgt2110) 1326 v CK Nicks (Costak) 968
The Rangers are another one of the form teams in Division One and have now made it 4 from 4. They were not trouble in this match up against the Nicks and were able to increase their margin each day. The Rangers were able to receive an even spread of scores from their roster where Pierce was the highest on 184, followed by Teague 141 and Jefferson 128. For the Nicks, having D Rose out for most of this round did not help. The best players for Nicks were Kobe 189, Holiday 147 and Gortat on 125.
Crossy Crusaders (Crossy) 1622 v Everton 149érs (Rev) 1352
The 149érs got off to a good start in this match up and were leading by just over 100 after day one. However the Crusaders were able to peg back this margin each day and went on to notch a comfortable victory. The Crusaders took full advantage of the FA list and used all of their acquisitions for the week. The best players for the Crusaders were Aldridge 205, Deng and Parker both on 191. The best players for the 149érs were Wall on 241, JJ on 187 and Stoudemire on 119.
And the schedule is as follows:
| MATCHUP 5 (JAN 23 – 29) | |||||
| AWAY TEAM | HOME TEAM | RESULT | |||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|

| Canuck Steelers (3-1) | at | Stevo’s Nuggets (2-2) | Box | ||
| The Bucks Fizz (3-1) | at | CK Nicks (2-2) | Box | ||
| Everton 149ers (0-4) | at | Get Knicked (0-4) | Box | ||

DIVISION 2 (by smokinjoemisiti)
SmokinJoe Misiti (smokinjoemisiti) 1778 defeated Maxwell’s Marvels (maxweas) 1125
Smokin top scored for the league this week having 9 players score over 100 points including 241 from John Wall and 235 from Mike Conley. Importantly didn’t have any major injury concerns at all. Max on the other hand had his number one player out, Derrick Rose, who failed to play a game. Max had just 3 players in triple figures, led by Kobe Bryant with 189.
Team Ring Ticklers (joellamerton) 1518 defeated The Hinrich Manoeuvre 1276 (Don_Cottagers)
This matchup was close at stages until Joel won each of the final 3 days of play to run away with it. Joel had a big week from Marc Gasol who had 218 points, whilst he had the injury concern of Steph Curry who totalled just 12 points for the round. Don was surprisingly led by Samuel Dalembert who scored 170. A lot of his better players only played 3 games for the week which hurt him.
Team 726 (minis) 1526 defeated Hawthorn OKC Magic (Cobra_Magic) 1241
Minis stayed undefeated with the help from Lamarcus Aldridge who scored 205 points. He had the challenges of dealing with injuries to a few players, most notably Andrea Bargnani, who missed the entire round and had been in good form. Cobra had a massive week from Lebron James who scored 293 points, but had little else to be pleased with. Still Eric Gordon remains out with injury for Cobra.
Six ten Two Forty (twoeyec) 1266 defeated Cyril33s Crushers (hawker) 1196
A low scoring but very tight matchup saw twoeyec win on the final day, maybe because Chris Paul did not play. Twoeyec was best served by Deron Williams who scored 161. Hawker got 196 from Deandre Jordan but teammate Chris Paul missed all 5 games for the round, proving the difference.
Team Travysboys (travyboy11) 1498 defeated Dropping Bombs (brettmarinovich) 1128
Luol Deng top scored for Trav with 191 points but his main concern now is Dirk Nowitzki who is taking games off to work on his conditioning. Brett had Kevin Durant top score once again with 157 but Oklahoma only played 3 games for the round which hurt him. Another key to this matchup was Rajon Rondo being out for Brett missing a couple of games.
Team Farken White (Jet) 1542 defeated Broady Broncos (nicksnow) 1253
Jet had 9 players score over 100 including 194 from Carlos Boozer. Nick had some key injury issues with Dwyane Wade missing all of the round, Nene missing 1 game and Joakim Noah being a late scratching for 1 game as well. He did however get a good performance from Danilo Gallinari who had 72 fantasy points against New York and 179 for the round.
And the schedule is as follows:

I think I’ve been a bit unlucky so far this season to still remain winless so far. Injuries and the early unbalanced schedule have cost me what possibly could have been a 3-1 start. In each of the last 3 weeks I should have won if it wasnt for Manu’s injury and CP3 playing below average games due to scheduling, and then when the Clippers finally played more than 4 games in a single week CP3 misses them all due to injury. I am also ranked second in the division in Points Against, so it’s been a tough start.
Hopefully I have better luck this week and pull off our first victory of the season.

Wonder how that is going to affect the Wizards, could be a bit of a shake up there.
Not looking forward to you clawing back my early lead today Steve. Can’t beleive how poor my scheduling is this week. Only 3 players today and then 13 tomorrow.

There’ll be quite a few people – probably most people – who’ll have 12-13 guys playing on at least 2 days this week. Looks like its one of the quirks of this weeks schedule.

Just to the premier league guys, I am looking for a quality PF. I am willing to give up guys like Rubio, Pierce, Wade, Hawes and Irving, in order to get a top 50 type guy. I will probably send out some feelers as i find players who i am interested in, but if you are interested in any of my guys, and have a PF you are willing to part with, feel free to send me a message.

Ruddy – send me an email mate – I’ve sent a couple to other teams today about prospective trades, but would be keen to hear from you if there’s something mutually beneficial we could come up with.
We picked four PFs with our top 6 picks, so there might be someone in there perhaps. But let us know Ruddy.
And Heaver – I think I sent something through to you but it may no longer be relevant given Dudley’s output in the second half.
Was annoyed with myself that I didn’t grab Landry Fields of FA last night (had too much to do with the little uns to hover over the waiver wire) as I would’ve grabbed him for James Johnson.
Luckily while Landry had a great game in the shadow of Carmello’s shooting slump for Kings of Karlos (50+) Johnson has a great game v Phoenix (40). He’s a strange player Johnson – does a bit of everything. Handy for the multi category type set up I guess.
Bosh, Johnson and Gortat did their jobs today – Bosh was the game winner vs the Cavs and has been really good for us considering we picked him up in the mid-40s in the draft.
But we copped another 70+ score from our opposition (today was Bargnani in his return to the floor).
We’ve got 515 points in two days, but we are only 160 up with lots of days to play (and more games from Bargnani and KLove to cope with).
Interesting times await.

Liquid Six… know how you feel mate, CP3 cost me this weeks game. Not to mention the effect him, Horford, Turk and Ray Allen have had on my team. Somehow I have been able to use the waiver wire to atleast scrape out a couple wins early on.
Makes it really tough though good luck with week and hope you get your 1st win.

@HEAVER, on the back of Ryan Anderson’s neg12, you flogged me yesterday. But, on the back of Ryan Anderson’s 57 today, I was happy to make up a bit of ground with 1 less player.
a long way to go, but you are still In the drivers seat after your good day 1 performance.
I’m looking fwd to the rest of the matchup though. Good luck mate

@anthak thx for referring to me in caps
it will be a close matchup. We have even games…bit disappointed today w Marc gasol. Will bounce back. Not sure how d blazers will go tomrzz. It will be third game in a row!!
Dropped Amir…he’s in the doghouse and even less playing time now that Kliezas and barbs is back. Picked up Jonas hopes he sees more playing time. Gonna test chris’ theory to find players who will get playing time even if there’s a blowout which seems likely case w DET.

Ant – canm I put in a formal request to get these stupid lockout rules changed … the way the lockouts work each day is starting to really annoy me.
I’ve already explained why the “first match of the day locks all players” method we use is not the best way to go.
But with the season now settling down to a timetable where most teams play 4 games a week, there is going to be more and more days like today where we all have 12-13 guys playing – meaning we have to put 3 on the bench.
Thing is – any of us who either:
a – dont sit next to the computer or mobile phone sweating on last minute withdrawals and swaps, or
b – have a number of players from the western conference, whose games all start well after players are locked in
are at a serious disadvantage.
I ducked out with my family today for just 2 hours. Set the team beforehand at 10.30 our time (30 minutes before first matches start).
I look an hour later to find on of our players pulled out 5 minutes before tip off, and another guy whose game doesn’t start till 1pm our time puklled out after players were locked.
So, we’ve lost two players from our line up, yet have two perfectly fit guys on the bench to replace them – but can’t do so because once the first game starts, ALL PLAYERS are locked.
This I don’t think is fair. It isn’t the first time it has happened to us – but most importantly it isn’t the first time that its happened overall. For example last week against us Ant, you had Hedo pull out literally 10 minutes before tip off, but were unable to replace him with a perfectly fit Ariza because all players were locked.
We should be working on a basis of gradual or rolling lockout which stops people swapping guys in and out of their 10 on-court players as each game starts. This would allow us to switch guys in or out of our team if they announce they won’t be playing, say, an hour before their game, but an hour after the other games on the East Coast have started (thus locking all players in).
We could do this on a trust basis very easily. We can very easily make a swap to bring in a fit player for an injured player and say so on this forum for example.
It would just allow us to put a guy like Al Jefferson (who, an hour after lockout, but an hour before his game started in US central time) on the bench and switch him for a fit player.
This is a legitimate substitute system ala Supercoach.
In the meantime, I now hope this doesn’t cost our team a trolley load of points or our lead. But Ant, seriously, can we do something about this for everyone’s sake, and for fairness’ sake?
There are going to be more and more days where we have 12-13 guys playing – we should be able to legitimately bring in guys off the bench to replace people who are injured before games start, but after the current “all-in lockout” occurs.

We would have to get most people agreeing with it to get it through.
Will be too hard to get consensus, as I don’t even think everyone will respond, so majority is way to go I reckon for this one.
I personally don’t think it is fairer to have rolling lockout. I prefer the lockout to begin at first game of day for a number of reasons.
I think the rolling lockout advantages those of us who have time to be making changes all day long; whereas most people would be able to handle setting their team once in the morning.
But the proposal is fair enough, and I see your point and frustration.
I do get that the current system is flawed and if we are able to fix it, then we probably should. We do claim to be Too Serious don’t we.
I’ll set up a poll on each homepage and we’ll set a target figure. First answer to that figure gets in – whenever that may be.

Oh, and it wouldn’t have helped me last week with Hedo & Ariza, as Hedo was playing (or not playing) the first game of the day.

I have set up the 3 polls, and will send the emails around later tonight.
I have set them up that there is only 1 vote per team,
So first to 20 gets in, but if ppl sit on the fence and vote that they don’t mind then we’ll reduce the target by 0.5 each one of those votes.
Hopefully, we have a decision by the end of this matchup.
Is this method ok with everyone? Or do you all think it will be better to just go with whiter option is in front at the end of the current matchup, ie. Monday arvo our time.
What do you all think?

No worries Ant, and thanks for setting up the polls. I reckon though that if there is a clear majority, despite not getting to 20, than that should be taken note of as well.
You’re right about the Ariza/Hedo situation as well.
The situation I am talking about is one that could realistically happen to anyone, given the timing of announcements an hour before games on the west coast can be anything from an hour to 90 minutes after lockout.
We’ve had no luck three times – twice with Al Jefferson and once with Caron Butler. But I reckon there’s been others who have watched guys pull out late and been unable to replace them.
Not only that, but given the schedule has settled and there are usually now two days in each matchup where almost every team plays a game, that means there are days where all 13 players from people’s teams will be on court, and it becomes more likely that this situation will occur.
It also becomes more likely as more and more players miss games or are late withdrawals with the increasing number of injuries that are hitting players.
Personally, today, we are 30 points down on what we would be. That’s disappointing, but what would be awful would be for a matchup to be decided because of points lost in this situation. That’s isn’t good.

Agree Chris that the lockout needs to be looked at. We certainly suffered from it today with Ridnour named dtd after lockout giving us no opportunity to add a perfectly fit Scola and thus missing out on 30 points. Who knows if it will cost us in the end but glad the discussion has been broached.
Also wish the ESPN site would unfreeze!

Karlos – in and out the frozen ESPN sight I noticed exactly what you said – I noticed Ridnour was out (as we keep tabs on him given he scored 60 something for us for the game we had him!) and noticed Scola was on the bench and thought exactly the same thing – “They could’ve replaced him”.
This is the problem. We lost 30 today too – James Johnson was on our bench and we would’ve swapped Jefferson with him (and in the end, the Jazz Toronto game went to 2OT)
But I’d encourage everyone to vote when we can (and when the site is unfrozen) so we can get this right.

I wish the ESPN fantasy cast reset to zero so I can start this match up again!!! I have no chance when I am up against K Love who is pumping out scores of 70 each game. None of the gun players in my team (Westbrook and Carmelo) can match that.

Steve- I’ve copped two 70+ scores from KLove and another from Bargnani … but we’ve been a bit more fortunate because our opposition this week – Walesy – has been really horribly hit by injuries, which is awful.
And now Bargnani seems to be injured again, so I’ve read, which from an opposition perspective is a relief, but from an overall perspective is awful (especially given how much better Toronto have looked with him playing the last two games)

ESPN seems to be alive again. Would have loved the 32 Scola could have given us today if not resigned to the pine. We have been on the end of two big scores today, Tyrus Thomas with a 78 and Curry with an 88! Going to be a very close matchup…

Stowie – according to reports of what Bargnani said, I think they’ll make him an “O” this time around – he is due an MRI but is apparently much worse than last time around.
Really bad news because he was making Toronto half decent.
We’re sweating on Al Jefferson’s MRI – we haven’t got any points out of him (our best player) this week thus far, and he has 2 games in two days later this week.
We’ve topped 800 points, which is nice, we’d be 850 but for the late outs and inability to change things y’day – which isn’t bad considering no input from Al Jeff and 2 guys scoring less than 15 y’day.

I’m inclined to agree with Fez. The same as if you get two O’s you just have to cop it on the chin, and it will hopefully affect everyone the same. The number of player’s who are DTD and miss games will have more influence than this imo. Also, it could be exploited if someone is down late in a matchup, and they pick up a waiver wire for the last game to get them over the line. Not saying TS guys will, but just as with having more IR spots, it does open things up to be exploited.
As someone said earlier, it will also advantage people who are online for the start of every game, as they will be able to change their lineup while others can’t. I suppose it just comes with the shortened season, and is possibly more common in guys who are injury plagued, which everyone knew could be an issue when drafting.

Ruddy – I’m of the counter viewpoint to you and Fez as you probably know. And I respect your opinion as well.
But I am confused by you saying that changing the lockout to a rolling system: “could be exploited if someone is down late in a matchup, and they pick up a waiver wire for the last game to get them over the line.”
Two things –
One – we can already exploit the waiver wire system to pick up extra players/player games at any stage in a matchup no matter what the lockout rules are.
Instituting a rolling lockout would make no difference. The only thing it would change is it would allow people to pick up an extra player before THAT PLAYER’S game starts, rather than before EVERYONE’S games start.
Two – If instituting a rolling lockout does make a difference in this way, surely there’d be an option for us to stop waiver wire pickups and FA pickups being able to be done after the first game starts each day. That is, FA and waiver wire lock at first game of day, but player swaps WITHIN teams are a rolling lockout.
This I reckon would be much fairer and would stop the problem Ruddy describes above. And as you say Ruddy – us TS guys would probably work on an honour system in such a regard anyway.
Overall, my argument is this:
If a guy whose game starts at 7pm (11am AEST) pulls out an hour beforehand, he can easily be switched out of a lineup for a guy on the bench. I had that option with the Bobcats’ Gerald Henderson y’day.
But if a guy whose game starts at 9 or 10pm (1PM or 2PM AEST) pulls out an hour beforehand, he can’t be swapped for someone on the bench. I had that problem with Al Jefferson y’day.
That to my mind is unfair and inconsistent, doesn’t promote a level playing field and seriously disadvantages teams whose good players (in particular, or who have any players in general) are from the Western Conference.
Personally, I’d hate to have my 3 best players playing games starting at 10pm and knowing that if they are a late withdrawal I can’t replace them with a bench player.
Yes, a rolling lockout might advantage those who look at their team during gameplay each day. But given many of us already do that anyway, I can’t see how it would make things different.
And remember too, if you don’t have someone on the bench to replace your injured player, or your bench players’ game has already started, then under a rolling lockout you still can’t move that guy into your line-up halfway through his game. That stops people exploiting the rules.
All a rolling lockout will do is allow injured players to be fairly replaced with bench players where available, no matter what time the injured players’ games start.

Bogut out with a fractured ankle. The poor guy has had no luck at all in the last few years.

Very happy to see that Drew Gooden was still available as a FA in Division One. He did very well earlier in the season when Bogut missed a number of games because of personal reasons.

Div 1, looking to trade a PG for a C. Would give up Conley for a quality big, otherwise Harris, Nelson or Ridnour are also available. Hit me up with offers.

I would prefer to give up one of my many fwds, but open to all offers.

i voted to stay with the current system. From a selfish point of view the other way has no use for me and would leave me disadvantaged. The reason for this is because im living in europe and the early games start at 1am here and sometimes i am awake for them to make a change if needed, but the latest games start at 4.30am and i am never awake to change my team, so thats why i voted no to change

sorry, also wanted to add that i think the current system is the fairest, as I think everyone has at least a few decent players from the west (i personally have aldridge, parker). However, the other way benefits people who are at a computer for the start of all games so thats clearly an advantage

Hey everyone,
I just realised that the lockout setting is locked, so I cannot change our lockout method while the season is in progress.
I am glad that a clear majority of people who had already voted were opting for us to leave it the same anyway.
I think it is something that warrants discussion in the leadup to next season though, so hopefully we remember.

I have sent out 3 trade proposals tonight and 1 of my players is involved in all of them.
So if you received a proposal from me, and you are happy with the trade, you probably should accept it before someone else does.
I think they are all great trades too. fair for both parties. – hopefully 1 of you agrees.

@ Stowie,
I sent my trade offer to you last night. However, I have just noticed Carmelo is out for the next few games. So if you want me to withdraw my trade offer that is ok.

Ant – replied to your trade proposal … Nate Robinson isn’t going to nab you Drew Gooden I’m afraid mate.
Our internet is playing up, so I can’t offer to long a reply (had to reply to your trade on the ESPN site via my phone) so apologies for the brevity there.

I’ll see if I can send you a counter offer Ant, but I ahve to say I don’t think we’re really close at all. I’ll have a think today and see what we might ask for if you are after a couple of our centres.
But given Bogut is out for 12 weeks I think – which sucks, I might add – and given Gooden averaged about 35 a game filling in for him when he was away in Australia for a few games earlier on in the season (and we know, because outr opposing team had him at that stage!!), we’d probably be pursuing something of around the 25-35 point value to trade him.

And thanks for the debate and opportunity to debate the lockout everyone. Happy to have the issue get out there and its something to think about for next year. But for now – the status quo rules!!
Niow to get off the web before our computer boots us off it.

Yeah, send me a counter offer please Chris. But doont get hung up on Gooden as I just added him in there as I didn’t think the other players involved would have been a straight swap. By the sounds of your reply, you do not think so either – but you rate Gooden ahead of Robinson. And that is prob fair enough, but it’s hard to rate players on how they will perform, rather than how they have – as so much could quickly change. So, we probably are a bit away from each other still, but I’m confident we can come together quickly.

Btw chris, I’m not disputing your assessment of the two players in question. Both of these guys have had a significant change in role come their way, so it’s a lot easier to make a prediction that their fantasy output will change and how.
Tbh, I’m starting to wonder if I should drop Nate Robinson. I’ve got my assistant coach Mark Jackson to pass on the message that he has to perform today to keep a spot with ant hak.
I had planned to drop Greg Steimsma today, but I couldn’t bring myself to do it as he is my only C… Nate hasnt got a game for a while after today and I’ve already got two other Warriors – so despite him averaging 30fppg thus far, I think he’s next on the block.
But I’m gonna see how he does today.
