TooSerious

For those who take it way too seriously

So many ways to analyse this, so many things to look at ... but no time and not enough in-the-know to do it.

Woah, you go away for one little weekend and all hell breaks loose.

Collingwood and Sydney both pick up wins while the Sainters put in a fantastic win (For them) and the Blues get themselves off the bottom.

Seriously, would love to know the tipping from this weekend.

On the fantasy front, Gaz and Murphs. Love your stuff fellas. Cloke- already traded your ass.

Dangerfield, I love you. I hope that nobody traded you last week, and Mike Pyke. I mocked people this week because I didn't have Mumford, I had you. Thanks mate.

2250 though, not too shabby. 2190 in DT and a 2258 in AFLFantasy (Which was enough to get me back in the top 1000. Woo.)

How did you guys go?
Remember peeps, we have a game on tonight, meaning we get captain loopholes in the non-Supercoach games.

Rolling back trades however, get locked in tonight in the VS games. Allegedly though, AFLFantasy will be allowing said rolling back of trades (Assuming they don't involve tonights teams) - and hopefully they have their teething issues behind them by now.

Anyways, teams.

He was followed by Boyd (153) and Steve Johnson (150) who bounced back from being Macaffer-ed last week. Sam Mitchell finished with 149 and Dayne Beams rounded out the top five with 145. Next best were Ablett (138) and Matt White (138), whilst Dal Santo and Gunston both finished with 134.

What else will be learn on this fine round 5?
Don't forget, check your byes when trading and good luck!
Me, I'm going away camping with the kids for the weekend, so if it all breaks, someone sms me!
peace out.
While the cows haven't come home yet, the moo-factor can now come into play, so I expect to see more 'GnR' down/upgrades in the coming weeks as opposed to the mid-priced sideways trading that has been on the menu in the first rounds.
That only leaves the total trades limit (thirty) as the last rule to come into play, but that won't be until round 14. Until that time the model should max out the number of trades per round (two; three for the bye rounds) to maximise the total score season to date.
After a series of serious misfires of the big gun, here we go.

After a shocking round for rucks last week, including the previous Best Buy not even playing but instead opting for minor surgery, many coaches are left wondering how it all could have gone so wrong. Unfortunately there aren't a whole heap of viable options in the ruck, but there are a few sneaky POD's worth a look and as always plenty of other in form choices from around the ground for those that avoided the bullets.

The Best Buy for this week, is Alex Fasolo. Still an untried selection in many respects, after a change of role and new team set-up, but going by early form and price along with the lack of forwards performing he is a stand-out early on. Now playing in a half-back kind of position he has license to run and carry, and while he hasn't been amazing he has certainly provided the Pies with some solid rebound from defence so far. Cheap as chips and locked into the 22, for now at least, Fasolo will be a very popular pick this week I'd think.
<div>

On a side note, there was some discussion last week around including a list of cheap players who were still viable cash-cow options, but there really aren't any of them around this week except for those already in the Best Buys so that one will have to stay on the back-burner for now. Keep an eye out in coming weeks though.

DEFENSE
ROOKIES

Jason Ashby (ESS) DEF 123.9k 49 +31k

Ashby is on the bubble at Bomberland this week, but after a poor showing from Essendon against the Dockers there may be a few changes at the selection table. Averaging 49 and looking at a 30 grand price rise after his next game Ashby is the only defensive rookie to really be worth a look this week.

MID-PRICERS

Matthew Jaensch (ADE) DEF 414.1k 109

So far this year Jaensch has been a very astute pick for the now 25,000 odd coaches with him in their side. He is averaging 109 and facing a 35 grand price rise this week, so expect him to continue finding his way into various sides...
]So these last few day, I was introduced toCrackawines.com.au]and any day now, will be officially well stocked for both the Easter period and the upcoming Anzac day game.

]Now, my personal taste tends towards the Sauv Blancs and maybe the odd Chardonnay, but I've gone with one of the mixed cases as I'm also partial to the odd Red and yanno, maybe the sneaky Ros&amp;eacute;, so I'm quite looking forward to it all getting here.

]Anyways, there's pre-created mixed cases, which is what I went with, but then there's a DIY Mixed Dozen feature along with a whole range of wines to delight the taste buds.

]Massive range (Biggest in the country I hear, with 4,200 wines to choose from), massive discounts (Up to 70%) and a lot of expert reviews make selecting your drop a piece of cake.

]The site is pretty clean and easy to use and after messing up my order, the staff were enthusiastic in helping me to get it all sorted. Will definitely be giving these guys a workout through the year.

]Now, I know, this is all coming off like a bit of a pitch, but the site is pretty cool, more than happy to give them a shout out.

Four rounds into the ORFFA season and it is becoming clearer that many teams' depth is going to be tested in coming weeks as player injuries and poor form continue.
A number of one-sided games this week, but we'll start the review with the close one:

Whitsunday 1235 d Venus Bay 1232
The Warriors hold on for their first win for the ORFFA season, escaping with a three point victory over Venus Bay.
The Warriors built a lead on the back off a consistent midfield effort - Boak (157), Sloane (126), Wines (125) and Gibson (103) all doing the job. Aaron Black (96) and Robbie Warnock (113) were also good.
Coming into the final game, Venus Bay needed 105 points from Melksham and Mundy. Regrettably injury intervened - while Melksham scored 55, Mundy's concussion and red-vesting limited him to 46 and handed the game to the Warriors.
Dayne Beams top scored for the Vultures with 145, with Higgins' 115 up forward very handy. Malceski and Gibbs also exceeded 100.

Cradle Mountain 1270 d Lovely Banks 1134
The magic of Stevie J was on show again as Cradle Mountain scored a comfortable 136-point win over the Lilacs.
In another game marred by red vests and late withdrawals, Steve Johnson (150) pulled out his full bag of tricks to gain five Les W votes. Heppell's 133, Pendles (129) and Liam Shiels (96) were more than handy too.
Nick Smith's 80 as a late call-up for Dustin Fletcher was vital, while an OOP Shaun Grigg scored 26 up forward.
The Lilacs copped the raw end of the sub stick, with both Caddy (24) and Simpkin (38) wearing the red vest for good portions of their games. Late withdrawals from Matt Rosa and Paul Chapman also stung.
Scott Thompson returned to good form with 121 to top score for Lovely Banks, while Swan (111), Duncan (101) and Hunt (100) played well.

Foul Bay 1477 d Nunawading 1268
A high quality game saw the reigning premiers run out deceptively comfortable winners over the Nuffers.
Consistent efforts across the board...
Wow, how bad was this week! Late withdrawals, donuts, green vests and injuries.

So many bullets to dodge, you'd need a matrix level team to have dodged them all this week. Reckon a lot of off-tilt teams will move up the ranks this week.

And man, these Sunday night Bombers games- they kill this review! Damn you Vlad!

So, how did this horror week treat you?

(Also, bah- silly post button saving it as a draft!)
